Owner has stated persons may come collect info from site before it closes. See copy/pasted message from their website. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Why we are closing:
I have, over the last six
months, been contemplating the survival of The Pagan Activist and I
have finally come to difficult decision.
From the 6th July 2009 The Pagan Activist will be closing.
I have not come to this
decision lightly. I have, after all, been working on The Pagan Activist
24/7 for the last four years (almost) and have decided to retire from
this project.
There are many factors that
have lead to this decision, and amongst them are the financial weight
of keeping this website going on donations and my personal investment.
Also, the enormous amount of time I have spent on it throughout the
last few years has made me realise that this time could be spent
elsewhere, on the many other things I wish to do in this life.
With regards to columns, the
final article of each columnist is now up, please do support them and
read their last words as columnists for The Pagan Activist.
I am sorry about the short
notice of this closure, I was thinking of closing down the website at
the end of the year, but I realised that the renewal date of the main
website is the 6th July and I do not wish to pay for another entire year of domain costs and hosting, for no reason. I am sure you understand.
Please feel free to retrieve
any information from the website, that is not copyright to any author,
for your own personal reference.
I would like to thank you all for being on this interesting journey with us.
The Iseum of Isis Paedusis has been operating as an open circle and an arm of the Fellowship of Isis right here in the South Bay since 2001. As a founder of the Iseum, this is my last attempt to marshal the troops. Recently I sent out an email about planning our upcoming Beltane. Only a couple of people responded. I want you to know that the Iseum is in very real jeopardy of closing its doors forever.
Phoebe and I have been planning a Beltane ritual at the beach. I recently posted details. We still need planning help and also we need someone to send out the notices to our Iseum mailing list and post on all the local Yahoo pagan groups.
We are always open to new members in the local area, but we can no longer continue to exist without the participation of our local ommunity. So if you or anyone you know in the South Bay/Westside area who would be interested, please have them contact me for more information.
It is extremely discouraging to not receive any response at all considering all the wonderful rituals, classes, etc. that we have presented in the past. This is Friday the thirteenth, and a new moon. It will be a great evening for magick and ritual. So why hasn't anyone called?
This is the last email I'll be sending. Please give me a call.
