EPHESIANS 5:2 - Let love be your guide. Christ loved us and offered his life as a sacrifice that pleases God. 3.) You are God's people, so don't let it be said that any of you are immoral, indecent, or greedy. 4.) Don't use dirty, or foolish or filthy words. Instead say how thankful you are. 5.) Being greedy, indecent, or immoral is just another way of worshiping idols. 8.) You used to be like people living in the dark, but now you are people of the light, because you belong to the Lord. Donna M.	October 28, 2009 4:59 PM Hi everyone! I am so happy that all of you have joined this family. Lately some disturbing things have been happening in the Christian world. Well, maybe this is a long standing situation and not recent, but some Christians have taken to attacking the integrity of Christians who are Baptized in the Holy Spirit. In the bible there are many places, many verses and chapters which tell us not to Quench the Holy Spirit, not to grieve the Holy Spirit, that the Holy Spirit is sent to us by Christ, and that the Holy Spirit will Baptize us and give us gifts. It is truly dangerous for Christians to leave whole chunks of the New Testaments out of our understanding. A Spirit filled Christian is a person who has taken these steps. 1.] They know that they are sinners, everyone has sinned, no one is perfect like God. 2.] They acknowledge and believe that Jesus is the Son of God. 3.] They ask Jesus to forgive them for their sins. 4.] They ask Jesus to come into their lives and hearts, and to wash them clean. 5.] They decide to follow Jesus and turn their lives completely over to Jesus. Suppose a foot says, "I'm not a hand so I'm not a part of the body." Wouldn't the foot still belong to the body? 16.) Or suppose an ear says, "I'm not an eye, so I'm not a part of the body." Wouldn't that ear still be a part of the body? 17.) If our bodies were only an eye, we couldn't hear a thing. And if they were only an ear we couldn't smell a thing. 18.) But God has put all parts of our body together in the way that he has decided is best. 19.) A body really isn't a body, unless there is more than one part. 20.) It takes many parts to make a single body. 21.) That's why the eyes cannot say they don't need the hands. That's also why the head cannot say it doesn't need the feet. 22.) In fact we cannot get along without the parts of the body that seem to be the weakest. 23.) We take special care to dress some parts of our bodies. We are modest about our personal parts, 24.) but we don't have to be modest about other parts. Everyone who is ruled by the Holy Spirit thinks about spiritual things. 6.) If our minds are ruled by our desires we will die. If we follow our desires, we can not please God. 9.) You are no longer ruled by your desires but by God's Spirit, who lives in you.
