MATTHEW 18:1-8
1.) JESUS told his disciples a story about how they should keep on praying and never give up:
2.) In a town, there was once a judge who didn't fear God, or care about people. 3.) In that same town there was a widow that kept going to the judge and saying, "Make sure I get fair treatment in court."
4.) For awhile the judge refused to do anything. Finally, he said to himself, "I do not fear God and I do not care about people, 5.) I will help this widow out because she keeps on bothering me. If I don't help her she will wear me out."
6.) The Lord said;
Think about what that crooked judge said. 7.) Won't God protect his chosen ones who come to him day and night? Won't he be concerned for them? 8.) He will surely hurry and help them. But when the Son of Man comes, will he find on this earth, anyone with faith?

1st suggestion: Buy index cards and a index container such as a recipe box or shoe box. Write one bible verse on each index card. Perhaps one bible verse a week, and than memorize the verse you choose for that week. Index cards are handy to help you memorize and easy to organize. When you have memorized one bible verse, start on the next one.  [ send green star]  [ accepted]

I have been thinking about how important it is for all of us to know the New Testament really well, and then later the Old Testament. So I believe it would be useful if we did homework through out the summer, and next winter also.
I will from time to time give you suggestions on how to do this!

Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ, our Savior.

Matthew 7:7-11
7.) Ask, and you will receive. Search and you will find. Knock and the door will be open.
8.) Everyone who ask will receive. Everyone who seeks will find. And the door will be open to everyone who knocks.
9.) Would any of you give a hungry child a stone if a child asks for some bread? 10.) Would you give your child a snake if your child asked for a fish?
11.) As bad as you are, you still know how to give good gifts to your children. But your heavenly father is even more ready to give good things to those who ask.

1 Corinthians 13:1-13
1.] What if I could speak
all languages of humans,
and of angels?
If I did not love others,
I would be nothing more
than a noisy gong.
Or a clanging cymbal.
2.] What if I could prophesy
and understand all secrets
and all knowledge?
And what if I had faith
that moved mountains?
I would be nothing,
unless I loved others.
3.] What if I gave away all
that I owned
and let myself
be burned alive?
I would gain nothing,
unless I loved others.
4,] Love is kind and patient,
never jealous, boastful,
proud or 5.] rude.
Love isn't selfish
or quick tempered.
It doesn't keep a record
of wrong that others do.
6.] Love rejoices in the truth,
but not in evil.
7.] Love is always supportive,
loyal, hopeful,
and trusting.
8.] Love never fails!
Everyone who prophesies
will stop,
and unknown languages
will no longer
be spoken.
All that we know
will be forgotten,
9.] We don't know everything,
and our prophesies
are not complete.
10.] But what is perfect
will someday appear,
and what isn't perfect
will then disappear.
11.] When we were children
we thought and reasoned
as children do.
But when we grew up,
we quit our childish ways.
12.] Now all we can see of God
is like a cloudy picture
in a mirror.
Later we will see Him
face to face.
We don't know every thing
but then we will,
just as God completely
understands us.
13.] For now there are faith,
hope, and love.
But of these three,
the greatest is love.

1 CORINTHIANS 12:25-31
25.) HE did this to make all parts of the body work together smoothly, with each part carrying about the others. 26.) If one part of our body hurts, we hurt all over. If one part of our body is honored the whole body will be happy.
27.) TOGETHER YOU ARE THE BODY OF CHRIST. Each of you is a part of his body.       28.) First God choose some of you to be apostles and prophets and teachers for the church. But he also chose some to work miracles or heal the sick, or help others, or be leaders, or speak different kinds of languages. 29.) Not everyone is an apostle. Not everyone is a prophet. Not everyone is a teacher. Not everyone can work miracles. 30.) Not everyone can heal the sick, not everyone can speak different languages. Not everyone can tell what those languages mean.  31.) I want you to desire the best gifts so I will show you a much better way.

THE BODY OF CHRIST!
 1 Corinthians 12:14-24

14.) OUR bodies just don't just have one part. They have many parts. 15.) Suppose a foot says, "I'm not a hand so I'm not a part of the body." Wouldn't the foot still belong to the body? 16.) Or suppose an ear says, "I'm not an eye, so I'm not a part of the body." Wouldn't that ear still be a part of the body? 17.) If our bodies were only an eye, we couldn't hear a thing. And if they were only an ear we couldn't smell a thing. 18.) But God has put all parts of our body together in the way that he has decided is best.
19.) A body really isn't a body, unless there is more than one part. 20.) It takes many parts to make a single body. 21.) That's why the eyes cannot say they don't need the hands. That's also why the head cannot say it doesn't need the feet. 22.) In fact we cannot get along without the parts of the body that seem to be the weakest. 23.) We take special care to dress some parts of our bodies. We are modest about our personal parts, 24.) but we don't have to be modest about other parts.
God put our bodies together in such a way, that even the parts that seem the least important are valuable.
