" Speech is silver, silence is gold "
" Brevity is the soul of wit " ( the Germans say for "Brevity ..." : strength is in calm... ).
So, to me, character is important not knowledge, we´re shaped by the experiences we´ve made in life.
The things we should have in common and that can make one happy, are niceness, fairness, mutual respect of the other´s view, humor, humor and if no humor at all, at least humor, coz bookish and never having dealt with real life is the demise of it all, some time soon...So, not what we know but what we are and how we are towards the other, that´s the most important thing...It depends on the other, whether he or she can make her laugh...
Introvert ? What´s wrong with that ? It´s a quality ! Character to me, has nothing to do with introvert...
Introvert and the like, don´t fall in the traits and shortcomings we all have ...Again, we´re shaped by what we´ve experienced over the years, at home, at school, in the workplace, by what we´ve been given by the parents´house, and so on and so on...
So, there are nice people among those chatty, among those garrulous, among those taciturn, etc, etc...As long they can laugh, that´s the most important thing to me...Fairness, niceness when available, make one open up and show their feelings...
Stay true to oneslef, that´s ...What do you call it ?
( Sorry, posted it elsewhere, shifted it up here )
Hmmmmmmmmmmmm...another thought ~ Look at our "Politicians"...Yep, I'd take a 'quiet man' any day!!! ![]()
It goes back to "Actions Speak Louder than Words"... ![]()
And, by the way Ms. Deb ~ I recall going to you when a certain man hurt me last year...and you were there for me, that's because I trusted you, and I won't ever forget it either.
Thank you!
I would NEVER wish you to change! ![]()
being consistant is a very important part of life..
nothing worse than someone who flies here and there and cant stick to one thing
Aww, you guys are sooooo sweet!! Many, many
to all of you!
And, maybe a big
!!!!
And lots of
, too!!!
While I still struggle at times to accept niceties (ahh the foibles of being human...), it really does warm the cockles of my little heart to hear this...
Methinks somewhere my parents are smiling...perhaps they did the job they wished with me (depending on one's value system)....
Yep, I'll admit to being a tad difficult to get to know, but life has taught me to be a bit cautious....
I was wondering where you had gone. I was going to send the emoticon patrol looking for you.
