The email you recieved just means that your post was approved. We are not accepting any more Chritmas requests. Im sorry. I still have several families waiting for help and It would be unfair to them to add new requests.
I hope you understand. wilma
anyone know of any places in virgina, i live in virginia beach.
If there's anyone in Snohomish County this is an awesome place that helps low-income families. I have gone to them in the past. In fact, one year we "won" two bikes on top of the gifts received. They are very strict on qualifying and you have to plan on all day event since the line is sooo long but it is well worth it if you can get in.
I received this in an email from another group and thought I would pass it along!!
I can't vouch for any of these sites. I just did a search and came
up with them. Several I have joined, but many I have not (some
because of area restrictions. ..I live in Georgia). I thought I would
do this because there are so many people that are in need and there
are so many that have applied to many many groups and aren't sharing
what they have found out. In my opinion it's selfish....but that's
just my opinion. I wish we all didn't have to go through what we're
going through ever but we do. I feel that if we find out about
it....tell it regardless of whether or not you feel that someone
will be adopted before you do. You never can tell what future
blessing you are blocking by being greedy and selfish.

I have not personally requested christmas help for several years, So I dont know what you have to do to get approved or post a request.
But sites that I am aware of are;
For families in Ohio only
And if you are a member of ebay they offer help in the chat area go to giving board, they post off and on throughout the day as to how to request help.
And I have more in my email , I will dig them up and post them as well.
Another suggestion, post on your local freecycle group, call local churches, salvation army, toy time or toys for tots.
You might also ask at schools , I adopted a child last year from stephanies pre school. They just add the childs name to a tree and I bought a gift and took it to the school.
If you have an active case at Children services, They can be a huge help too.
And your local newspaper may be able to help, Ours has a brighten a christmas section. The salvation army collects gifts for Families in need.
I know there is a lot of yahoo help sites, So maybe we will see some more posted.
I am declining new request.
But that does not mean that we can't at least try to help others find some help.
So please list groups that you are aware of that they may be able to find some help.
I have a few I will post later.
