Makes you wonder and say just what she would think reasonable to have taxpayer money spent on. All life is precious and animals are the only breathing creatures capable of unconditional love. If Miss Thang should present her a** at the shelter she would find that these animals would smile at her,wag their tails,lick her hand and show joy at the attention of a human. Dear God,I get so angry when humans forget to be humane-an animal never forgets and always forgives.

Our world will always be uncivilized until people realize that we are one with all creatures-neither above or below. The only difference is that our Creator gave humans the power of reason and logic-look what we have done with that. Makes me wish I were a turtle or something.

I believe that we were meant to co-exist in peaceful harmony and not to revel in our "superiority"- I much prefer the company of animals over most humans due to the fact that animals bear no malice,no egos to be stroked,no desire to be successful-just the basic needs of food,water and shelter. Domesticated animals will love you even if the love is not reciprocated-how's that for unconditional love and acceptance?

Hell-I wouldn't give you the time of day if you didn't want me around-guess that's why I'm human(doesn't make you too proud,does it?)

and was given this number: 978-827-3225. I got the answering machine..Left a message, and it went something like this-

"I am calling on behalf of the animals that cannot speak for themselves..I am a resident of Franklin, Ohio and have heard some disturbing news about your shelter, that animals that have been there for too long will be killed due to some woman complaining that we, as tax-payers are wasting our money...What about people, especially children in need that are on welfare...They need medical attention and food, and our taxes are paying for that...Does that mean we should kill them too?!..."

I,too,got an answering machine but I got something even better. For legal reasons,I can't publish the name but according to a very reliable source there were several non-animal lovers who complained about the money being spent at this shelter. I have been promised the names and will write them snail-mail and appeal to them to reverse their stance about the animals. Kindness will work sometimes and I will start out that way-I won't resort to unladylike behavior but I sure wish I could kick their pompous asses. I'll let you know if I get any responses and I promise to be good.
