We All Have A Say In What Goes On Around Us May 08, 2010 1:44 PM
I just want to bring to your attention that we, as individuals and as a group, all have a say in what we allow to happen around us. It is time that we stopped looking the other way. We need to stand up and speak for those that cannot speak for themselves. We need to make our voices heard. It is our responsibility to stop abuse in its tracks.
As adults that know better, we all have a moral and ethical responsibility to put an end to the abuse taking place right before our eyes. Abuse with our children, with our animals and with other adults that cannot help themselves. Do more than watch; make an effort to stop the abuse.
We all have the capability to stop abuse, to stop the vicious cycle from continuing. Stop and take a look around you. What do you see? Is there any abuse evident? Or have you actually seen someone abuse another right before your eyes? We all have a say in whether we will allow abuse in our environment. I say we stop abuse in its tracks starting right now.
If you see an incident of abuse, whether it be human to human or human to animal, report the abuse to the authorities immediately. It is the only way to stop this cycle. We make it known that we will not tolerate this type of behavior and the only way to do this is to speak out against what is happening.
Please stand up and take a stand for those that cannot stand up and take a stand for themselves!
Please pass this message along to everyone you know, both near and far. Spread the word.
