VIVISECTION August 04, 2004 12:28 AM

I have two cats. I plan to have more as soon as I get a house. Both cats have a "favorite" place to sleep. My older cat's place changes with his moods. Sometimes it's on top of the hutch, sometimes in the bathroom closet. He also says bye to us when we go out. And my young cat forsakes his store bought toys for milk carton caps and twist ties. What I'm saying is that they both have unique hilarious personalities. If a cat can chase a toy for an hour, or decide to sleep on his back instead of his stomach, if he can enjoy being brushed or scratched, and purrs louder when you simply approach him, then, HOW MUST A CAT FEEL WHEN BEING FORCED TO INGEST OVEN CLEANER??? How must a resident dog at a veterinary school FEEL when having his legs broken and awkwardly mended? Depressed that he can't run as fast as before? Betrayed? How then must a bonobo FEEL when being used to test the effectiveness of that new prescription drug advertised in TV guide??? Confused? Frustrated?  [ send green star]
My own personal mission September 11, 2004 9:46 AM

I am what THEY call an "animal rights wacko"...or worse. I get this title because I point out daily that if WE don't want to ingest oven cleaner, then I highly doubt that cats (or any animal)do! To me this is common THEM it is fanatacism. Of course they don't want to ingest oven cleaner or the billions of other caustic substances that are fed to them or smeared on their shaved skins. They are miserable living in those cages without the benefit of love or family. I was actually banned from an Animal Communications group on Yahoo for asking members to boycott products tested on animals! Unbeleivably, these people who were so enamored with their own "mysticism" (Pfah!) and animal communication skills were all too happy to continue uing Procter & Gamble products...knowing that millions of animals suffer and die yearly for that company. Don't get me wrong...I truly beleive we can communicate with animals empathically and telepathically. In my line of work (vet nurse & wildlife rehabber) I do it on a daily basis! It is BECAUSE I can communicate with them, and know their pain and suffering and lonliness and betrayal, that I must ask you all here to PLEASE SHOP CRUELTY FREE! It's not that hard...if you need help with companies that are safe (or NOT safe) feel free to contact me through the network. I'd be glad to help. All of us are here because we know animals feel emotions like we do. None of us want to have product testing forced on us. Remember that the next time you buy shampoo...please.  [ send green star]  [ accepted]

I do.I don`t buy Procter and Gamble (Pain and Greed!) I don`t buy Iams and although I am getting a cold I will try to cure it with home remedies just not to have medicines that made animals suffer...  [ send green star]  [ accepted]
It still amazes me October 04, 2004 7:46 PM many people refuse to see how much they suffer. My sister infuriates me with her B.S. A few years ago she got into PeTA through a friend of my brothers, and, now, seven or eight years later, she has a kid so now it's "too hard" to buy cruelty free. She refuses to give up downy because she loves the smell! I told her she should just cut herself, she'd smell it all the time. The other day, we were shopping and I was turning down items because they were bad and she says "You know, you remind me of me when I was your age." I said "Don't you wish you were still like that??" I can't believe I'm related to her...(simmer down...deep breaths...)  [ send green star]
