Well, it's been a pretty awful couple of weeks for me. I've had University exams to do, I had to move house, and I was ill. I got sent for a blood test and had a really bad reaction to it (strange!) and that floored me for about a week. That's the short version of the disaster that has been the past couple of weeks!

It's been a busy couple weeks for me.  I spent a few days at my daughter's for my grandson's 2nd Birthday.  Then I went back down for my daughter's Birthday.  The day after I come home I got a notice of a new house that just was going on the market just around the corner from their house!   So..... I made another trip down there 2 days later and looked at it.  It's a bank repo and they had it priced under market just to get rid of it quickly.  Well, they did.  I made an offer on it that day (last Friday).  So Tuesday morning when the bank opened, they accepted my offer with the condition I signed all the contract papers and had them back in their office by 4 the next day.  That was a blur of a day, but we got them back to them.  So I do believe I have bought another house!  Lots more paper work to do in the next week or so for the loan, and home inspection, etc.  The bank and realtor both have a paper packet in the mail to me right now I have to go thru.  Now, I just need somebody to buy this house pretty soon!  I'm glad, at least that I don't have to be rushed to get out of here.  I had a showing of my house this evening.  It'd be great to get a call tomorrow that they made an offer on mine.....

Happy Saturday:  It has been quite a week around here with the roofers disturbing the solitude.  They completely distroyed my flower beds in front of the house.  It is a good thing it is time to clean them up or I would be ticked.

Hi there, Ugh, silly grey box again! Having had no work for ages, I am now working on the weekends (permanently) and during the week for this past week and the next couple. So, no days off for a good 3 weeks or so. I am knackered! Plus, my Mother's toe which she had surgery on is infected and now she will have to have more...eek. Between all of this and shoddy internet access, I am going to be a bit of a ghost for the next couple of weeks!

So I thought I would come in and say Hi whilst I have the chance, take care and keep up the good work everyone!

Raining here this morning.  Supposed to cool down now.  The weather here has been perfect. 

We have had several home invasions in my neighborhood this week.  The neighborhood watch has been very busy alerting folks to keep their doors locked even in the day time.  I remember the day when we went away for a week or so and did not lock our house.  Not that way any more.

Ugh. What a few days it has been. My mother had a bad accident and had to have surgery on her foot a couple of days ago. She's ok now, but still in a lot of pain and I have been looking after her for a change! It's rather sad how fast summer is getting by us.  I've been so busy getting the house ready to sell, & battling infections all summer.....  I finally bought a motorcycle again this summer after wanting one again for so many years, and I have barely had anytime to ride it, or even look at it.  It's sad but true.  Ah, there's always next year.  (I hope)

Hi Jean!  We had a couple short but strong storms roll thru here yesterday.  I don't think we've had a drought this summer.  Everything is quite green and growing around here.  I sometimes like when my yard browns off and doesn't need any mowing.  Not this year, mowing all the time it seems. 

I'm listing my house for sale this afternoon, and I have gotten preapproved for a home loan to buy another one even before this one sells.  I don't think anything will happen too quickly and I will try to keep up coming in here regularly, but if I seem to disappear for awhile, I should be back fairly soon.

Happy Sunday everyone, we are taking my grandson back to NMU today and it is an eight hour trip one way.  I am not looking forward to the trip, it is nothing but trees for hundreds of miles.    My bottom already hurts and I am not even in the car yet. LOL  Have a great day everyone.  Sending hugs.

Gosh Jerry that is horrible.  I do know that when you have to take a lot of antibiotics the bugs become resistant.  I have had Pneumonia several times, and each time they go to stronger and stronger stuff.   Hang in there my friend.  Sending good thoughts your way.

This isn't exactly good subject matter for our good morning thread but...... I get chronic UTI's since I broke my back in 2000. Most of them used to be treatable with a variety of antibiotics.  Then after my heart surgery in 2004 the hospital gave me a staph infection as a going away present.  A MRSA virus.  To cure it they had me on the stongest IV antibiotics invented.  The net result is it worked, but now I am resistant to a great many antibiotics.  Most of my UTI's are treatable with some kind of pill or combination of pills.  A few strands tho are resistant to all of them.  So I have to go get IV "super drugs" again.  This is the third time I have had to go thru this.  The first time was for 7 days.  The 2nd time was for 10 days, and now this time is for 14 days.  I haven't really asked the doctor what happens when these quit working.  I might not want to know.......
