What do you think the basic values are between: intuition, instinct and intellect?
What might their distinctive values be in the chain of responsibility?
The way I see it, Intuition is that gut feeling that we have, whereas instinct is more of a response, with intellect being the wisdom that stops intuition and instinct from getting us into trouble! That being the case and wisdom in the form of intellect having the highest value, might intuition be on a much higher level than instinct!
Humans may have become the world's most dominant species, but deep in the shadowy corners of our mind - instinct sometimes remains the decisive characteristic, because like animals, our survival once depended on our Instincts.
Might such still be necessary?
Bow ...
Greetings,
Bow, I believe you are spot on as far as sequence and importance of intuition , instinct ,
and intellect.
During my life my gut feelings have been right far more often than wrong .
Yet when I'm wrong I'm very wrong especially lately on a couple issues.
But percentage wise I'm still more right than wrong on intuition so I have to respect
my gut feelings just confirm more before acting on instinct.
That being said I will conclude that intuition is on a higher level than instinct.
However instinct still has it's needed place in our being when instant decisions have to be made such as in emergencies during chaos.
Thanks for listening,
John
This is just my humble perspective on instinct, intuition and intellect, but I see this in a different connection. I sense it is the intuition that tries to keep the intellect from getting into trouble, as intuition doesn't rely on any logic. I view the intellect as the human "logic" system, that also can be influenced by other factors, such as health issues and one's environment.
Intuition is the gut feeling that is a true gauge of truth for one from within..., providing one has clarity of mind and embraces balanced emotion. An ability, per say..., that the soul offers the human mind.., or perhaps..., a method of divine communication within. Instinct to me, is more of a human physical response to its surroundings or external factors, as with survival. In my humble opinion, instinct, intuition, and the intellect should be embraced with balance for the highest value of internal wisdom of the "whole." When one is embodied in the physical human form, then to me it seems all three should be balanced with responsibility, unique to each, but for the betterment of the whole.
