Bush Renews Vow to Aid Katrina Victims

WASHINGTON —  President Bush on Saturday renewed the nation's commitment to help victims of last year's Gulf Coast hurricanes and thanked U.S. troops fighting abroad.

In his Saturday radio address, Bush said Americans are grateful to those who rallied after hurricanes Nouri al-Maliki. On Saturday, he reminded Americans that many U.S. troops are spending the holiday weekend far from their families.

"We know that their service makes it possible for us to live in freedom," Bush said.

He said the desire for freedom that led pilgrims to America still guides the nation today. "While they were only a shivering few, we are now a strong and growing nation of more than 300 million."

On Tuesday, Bush visited U.S. troops stationed at <a href=">Hickam Air Force Base in Honolulu. He stopped there on his way back from a trip to Indonesia, Singapore and Vietnam.

"Our service members there have deployed around the world to fight the terrorists in Afghanistan and Iraq, conduct important maritime exercises in the Pacific, help deliver humanitarian aid to the victims of disaster and fight drug trafficking," Bush said.

He singled out Marine Cpl. Jason Dunham of Scio, N.Y., who died after throwing himself on an enemy grenade, saving two of his fellow Marines in Iraq. The Medal of Honor — the nation's highest decoration for valor — will be given posthumously to Dunham, who died April 22, 2004, after an ambush near the Syrian border.

"This Thanksgiving, our thoughts and prayers are with his family and with all military families, especially those mourning the loss of a loved one," Bush said.

Thanks for the invite Sherrie.  This, too, is My-Kinda-Place.  I see some of my Usual-Suspect friends here already.  Which is good, because I would otherwise have been slightly confused;  i.e., and to wit:  can I now safely assume that this is Not a Group specifically designed for that specific sub-set of fascists who have a particular zeal for analyzing news through the ideological lense of the average fascist?  (Rhetorical...)

But seriously folks . . . as we all know, the consequences of fascism are as prevalent and as pernicious in what is not spoken as in what is.  A timely example, which will (hopefully) make this post worth reading:  As some or all of you may know, the former President of the US, Jimmy Carter, published a book recently (this last Monday or Tuesday), in which he (too little, and about 25-30 years later than he should have, in my opinion) had the chutzpa to draw attention to the plight of the Palestinians under Isreali Occupation.  He gave a speech about it last night (somewhere--I forget).  Did anyone happen to see this morning's "Democracy Now!"?  They played about twenty minutes of former Pres. Carter's speech last night, in which, he addressed, in part, some of the criticism the book has already drawn.  Also, it has been noted, as early as yesterday, on "Democracy Now!," at least, that the Mainstream Democrats have been running "like lemmings to the sea,"  (an actual quote--but from whom exactly, again, memory fails).  BUT (and to finally reach a Point):  What I found interesting and indicative, albeit not surprising, was Mr. Carter's mention in his speech that the mainstream print media has, thus far, written precisely zero about the book, or about anything related to Carter vis a vis the book;  Nothing in the NYT, the Washington Post, The LA Times, USA Today, the Wall Street Journal, nor in five or six other major newspapers Mr. Carter mentioned.  Nothing.  If you rely only on the five or six major newspapers in the USA for your news, you wouldn't know that frmr. prs. Carter had been in the public spotlight for anything in the last few days.  This, despite the fact that most, if not all of Congress knew about it, and some of the more invertebrate-resembling knew enough to know to get their tails as far distanced from the offensive tome and its author as they could.  Yet all those Highly Venerated newspapers (esp. the New York Times; the "paper of record"), apparently, managed not to have heard a thing about it.  Imagine!  I wonder why that is . . .?  (Again, rhetorical.)

Sean Hannity continued his spree of attacks on blacks last night (12/4/06) on Hannity & Colmes. While there seems to be no issue of importance to mainstream African-Americans – Katrina, voting rights, civil rights, police brutality, poverty, education, etc. that Hannity cares to discuss, he and the FOX News producers have a voracious appetite for covering incidents of racism toward whites, bad behavior of blacks and any other news that might portray white rights in a fragile state. Last night, the FOX News gang dug up some 2005 video of a former African-American professor advocating the extermination of whites and skewed the reporting to make it seem as though the speaker was part of Howard University.

Sean Hannity played the October, 2005 video without revealing that it was more than a year old. Hannity said “That was former North Carolina State University professor Kamau Kambon. He was speaking at a forum on Hurricane Katrina media coverage at Howard University Law School.” While it’s true Kambon was speaking at Howard, FOX News reported last year that the forum used Howard’s space but was neither sponsored nor endorsed by the university. However, Hannity failed to make that distinction.

The sole guest for the discussion was Hannity’s favorite African-American, Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson. Rev. Peterson can always be counted on to vilify other blacks as racist so it’s no surprise Hannity is a big fan of his. “How widespread is a thought process like this?” Hannity asked Peterson. The question suggests Hannity thinks that many African-Americans think like Kambon.

Peterson said, “It’s commonplace.” He and Hannity reminisced about the alleged anti-white racism of recent H&C guests NYC Councilman Charles Barron and James Myart, a civil rights attorney, who called Hannity a “rich, white boy” last week. “Racist blacks have the freedom of expression when it comes to the issue of race and morality,” Peterson said, “But white folks are made to be quiet and not even mention race.”

In Alan Colmes’ portion of the interview, Peterson criticized other blacks for not condemning Kambon’s comments and complained about “not hearing anything from Howard University.” In fact, FOX News’ own report in October, 2005 stated that Howard “totally repudiated” Kambon’s remarks.

“(Kambon’s) representative of most racist blacks like the so-called civil rights leaders, the NAACP,” Peterson told Colmes. “They may not want to exterminate, but they definitely want to divide and conquer.” He related an incident where two white women had been badly beaten by a group of black girls last Halloween, that got no news coverage. “Had white women beat up black girls or black women, it would be all over the news.”

At the end, Hannity asked Peterson if he had been bothered by Michael Richards’ use of the “n” word. No, Peterson said. “What bothers me is that white folks are building anger, they have a lot of anger because they are falsely accused of being racist and because they can’t speak out about it, it’s gonna come out at the wrong time and the wrong place and then you’re gonna have Jackson and others coming in and saying ‘See, we told you white people are racist. Give me some money.’ And that’s why white America will have to start speaking up.”

“Always love having you,” Hannity told Peterson and said he was proud to be on the board of Peterson’s non-profit organization.

For someone facing genocide, Hannity couldn’t have looked happier.

Hate-mongering Melanie Morgan, who looks as though she hasn’t laughed in at least a year, was back to spread some more of her shrill, mean spirit on Hannity & Colmes last night (12/5/06) in at least the third H&C discussion about the six imams thrown off a US Airways plane a few days before Thanksgiving. Rather than offer any kind of understanding or sympathy for the plight of the imams, who were never charged with any crime, Morgan accused them of insensitivity toward their fellow passengers by acting too publicly Muslim. She said, “Let us not exonerate these six Imams until all of the facts are in.”

Alan Colmes asked wryly if that meant someone should be grateful for being taken off a plane, put in handcuffs and detained for hours, as the six imams were.

That was the imam’s fault, according to Morgan. They should have more sensitivity toward the other passengers, she claimed. And if they were wrongly removed, detained and handcuffed, they ought not complain. “I think that there needs to be more tolerance on the part of people who are fitting a profile that Americans are looking at.” Morgan thought we should all be grateful to US Airways for their actions.

If the imams weren't terrorists, they were likely up to no good anyway, Morgan seemed to think. She conjectured that the imams might be making a fuss over the incident because they are “determined to create a lawsuit, an anti-discrimination lawsuit in order for us to lose our resolve and our nerve to fight the war on terrorism.”

When Colmes asked if she had any evidence that the imams “did this as a bit,” Morgan sneered, “Do you have any evidence that they don't?”

Morgan told Colmes, “There is a lot of suspicion by some of the passengers on board that airplane that these people were actually probing some our air defenses.” For Morgan, passengers’ suspicions is as good as hard evidence.

While Hannity & Colmes has over-covered this story (and the one about the “threat” of white genocide), there was no coverage of Robert Gates’ confirmation hearings. Which one is more important to the War on Terror?

Yesterday on Fox News, talk radio host Mike Gallagher said the U.S. government should “round up” actor Matt Damon, “The View” host Joy Behar, and MSNBC anchor Keith Olbermann and “put them in a detention camp until this war is over because they’re a bunch of traitors.”

Gallagher was upset over Behar’s comment that Time magazine should have chosen a controversial “Hitler-type” like Donald Rumsfeld as its Person of the Year. Gallagher said Damon should also be incarcerated because he “attacked George Bush and Dick Cheney”; he didn’t explain why he wanted to imprison Olbermann.

Earlier this year, Gallagher was one of five conservative talk radio hosts invited to the White House to meet with President Bush.

GALLAGHER: You know, it’s a little bit ridiculous that we continue to watch these TV stars and movie stars who smear our leaders. I just wonder, Rob, if you’ll think for a moment what our enemies think of seeing TV personalities compare the outgoing defense secretary to Adolph Hitler. I mean, you know, conservatives never get a pass. Strom Thurmond is wished a happy birthday by Trent Lott and the sky falls in on Trent Lott. But Joy Behar goes on national TV and compares a good man like Rumsfeld to the evilest man in the world and nobody, you know, there’s no repercussions for Joy Behar. I think we should round up all of these folks. Round up Joy Behar. Round up Matt Damon, who last night on MSNBC attacked George Bush and Dick Cheney. Round up Olbermann. Take the whole bunch of them and put them in a detention camp until this war is over because they’re a bunch of traitors.

THOMPSON: They’re not traitors, they’re Americans. And you know what the great thing about America is you get to say what you like and you don’t get thrown into detention camps.

GALLAGHER: No, you don’t.

THOMPSON: And that’s what the rest of the world sees. They see free Americans say what they like without having any fear of going to jail. So, if I wanted to compare someone to Hitler or anybody else, Pol Pot, whatever it might be, I have no fear of going to jail because that is what an America is.

GALLAGHER: There’s such a thing as treason, Rob.

THOMPSON: That’s not treason. That’s just political talk and satire and it might be funny at the best, at the least.

Like blind men examining an elephant, we attribute this conspiracy to Jews, Illuminati, Vatican, Jesuits, Freemasons, Black Nobility, and Bildersbergs etc.

The real villains are at the heart of our economic and cultural life. They are the dynastic families who own the Bank of England, the US Federal Reserve and associated cartels. They also control the World Bank and IMF and most of the world's Intelligence agencies. Their identity is secret but Rothschild is certainly one of them. The Bank of England was "nationalized" in 1946 but the power to create money remained in the same hands.

England is in fact a financial oligarchy run by the "Crown" which refers to the "City of London" not the Queen. The City of London is run by the Bank of England, a private corporation. The square-mile-large City is a sovereign state located in the heart of greater London. As the "Vatican of the financial world," the City is not subject to British law.

On the contrary, the bankers dictate to the British Parliament. In 1886, Andrew Carnegie wrote that, "six or seven men can plunge the nation into war without consulting Parliament at all." Vincent Vickers, a director of the Bank of England from 1910-1919 blamed the City for the wars of the world. ("Economic Tribulation" (1940) cited in Knuth, The Empire of the City, 1943, p 60)

The British Empire was an extension of bankers' financial interests. Indeed, all the non-white colonies (India, Hong Kong, Gibraltar) were "Crown Colonies." They belonged to the City and were not subject to British law although Englishmen were expected to conquer and pay for them.

The Bank of England assumed control of the U.S.during the T.R. Roosevelt administration (1901-1909) when its agent J.P. Morgan took over 25% of American business. (Anton Chaitkin, Treason in America, 1964)

According to the "American Almanac," the bankers are part of a network called the "Club of the Isles" which is an informal association of predominantly European-based royal households including the Queen. The Club of the Isles commands an estimated $10 trillion in assets. It lords over such corporate giants as Royal Dutch Shell, Imperial Chemical Industries, Lloyds of London, Unilever, Lonrho, Rio Tinto Zinc, and Anglo American DeBeers. It dominates the world supply of petroleum, gold, diamonds, and many other vital raw materials; and deploys these assets at the disposal of its geopolitical agenda.

Its goal: to reduce the human population from its current level of over 5 billion people to below 1 billion people within the next two to three generations; to literally ``cull the human herd'' in the interest of retaining their own global power and the feudal system upon which that power is based.

Historian Jeffrey Steinberg could be referring to the US, Canada and Australia when he writes, "England, Scotland, Wales, and, especially, Northern Ireland, are today little more than slave plantations and social engineering laboratories, serving the needs of ...the City of London...

These families constitute a financier oligarchy; they are the power behind the Windsor throne. They view themselves as the heirs to the Venetian oligarchy, which infiltrated and subverted England from the period 1509-1715, and established a new, more virulent, Anglo-Dutch-Swiss strain of the oligarchic system of imperial Babylon, Persia, Rome, and Byzantium....

The City of London dominates the world's speculative markets. A tightly interlocking group of corporations, involved in raw materials extraction, finance, insurance, transportation, and food production, controls the lion's share of the world market, and exerts virtual ``choke point'' control over world industry."

Steinberg belongs to a group of historians associated with economist Lyndon Larouche. They have traced this scourge to the migration of the Venetian mercantile oligarchy to England more than 300 years ago.

Although the Larouche historians do not say so, it appears that many members of this oligarchy were Jews. Cecil Roth writes: "The trade of Venice was overwhelmingly concentrated in the hands of the Jews, the wealthiest of the mercantile class." (The History of the Jews in Venice, 1930)

As William Guy Carr points out in Pawns in the Game, both Oliver Cromwell and William of Orange were funded by Jewish bankers. The English Revolution (1649) was the first in a series of revolutions designed to give them world hegemony. The establishment of the Bank of England by William in 1694 was the next crucial step. Behind the facade, England has been a "Jewish" state for over 300 years. (pp.20-24)
