Fear of the unknown or Chicken Little "sky is falling" mindset is what drives Moderates as well as the Radically Right. The Moderates may not be as vocal but they prop up the Radical Right by going along with them.  Moderates don't speak out against the Radical policies because they think the Radical Right are protecting their "security".

Not "all" Moderates of course but the vast majority.
