Well, June in Oregon is here, which means 4 months of sunshine! I am really excited to see how our garden responds. This is the first time we've planted from seed (mostly), so we'll see. We so far have an abundance of salad mix, peas, spinach and beets. Tomato, pepper, eggplant and basil starts are feeling good, and so am I! My garden therapy comes after work every day, when I go and sit in the garden watching it grow!

After several years of drought we have had a VERY wet spring here in Nebraska. I think that my flower seeds have either washed out, or molded away in the cold wet dirt. I did get a few calendula up, and some morning glories, but it looks like I will be buying bedding plants this summer. Sigh!
I lived in Oregon for a while when i was a teen. I remember it as beautiful and green. Mom always had a great garden, and in the fall, the blackberries!!! Mmmmmm! (((Hugs!))) Trish

Oregon is indeed as Green as it gets (in this country at least!). MMMM, the blackberries! One of my favorite things to do is go for hikes/walks and pick them everywhere! What part of Oregon did you live in?

Of Myrtle Creek? We lived several mile outside town. I loved the ride on the bus to school. Loved the drive along the creek. There was a horse farm somewhere along the road to town. I have so many memories, grape vines growing up thru' the apple trees beside the garden. A rose hedge along the highway....Sometimes wish I could live there now, but I also remember that it was hard for my dad to make a living there, so maybe after retirement. LOL!
