U2 in uproar over LOUD music at Dublin concerts

U2 could be hearing from the Dublin City Council over the decibel
levels
reached at their three concerts in Croke Park earlier this year.

A spokeswoman for the council confirmed that they are still
deliberating over a decision about the noise levels reached during
those three July dates.

"Dublin City Council has yet to issue a decision regarding the fine
which will apply for noise breaches across the three events," she said.

U2 paid a €80,000 deposit for its Public Event License, and bar the
noise infringement, the band was in compliance with all other
stipulations.

Not that they could not afford the fine given their long and
successful career, but, if they incur any penalty it will take them
further in the red for the 360 tour.

Despite breaking attendance records and having a hugely popular jaunt
around the globe to date, the band still have to break even on the
tour and will not do so until it relaunches in spring 2010.
