WHAT IS THE MATRIX?
WHAT THIS GROUP IS ALL ABOUT
Busting a meme requires an open mind to investigate your own mindsets. Sometimes finding out the truth can make you feel deceived. Finding out the truth can hurt more then a kick in the groin, because it busts the illusions. Illusions we cling to and that made us feel secure in our lives.
The pain of 'truth' is however never a negative pain, but it is the pain of awakening, opening up to reality. It gives you the chance to deal with reality and to choose on the basis of the new found information.
This is what we are trying to do by Busting the Money Meme. Wake people up to reality and give them the opportunity to choose on the basis of the newly found information.

FIND YOUR WAY AROUND
This is not an average cosy discussion group. We have put quite some effort into creating a structure to assist you on the way to be more aware, in learning how things are not necessarily what they look like.
There are -- INFO -- threads
They contain... info. Info about the hidden world of Economy. Read, think,
and remember the stuff that makes sense to you. We have tried to find
all sorts of ideas how to make things work differently, so individual
items may very well be ambiguous. If you MISS something - discuss this
with one of the hosts. The threads are blocked from member input, to
keep them clear of debris.
There are -- ADD -- threads
These contain info that you may add yourself. Just remember:
- Only add info according to the instructions
- Don't comment
- Don't discuss
Help us keep this place tidy and clean to make it easier for everybody to find the info they look for.

Feel free to discuss anything related to money and busting the meme of it.

IN TIMES OF NEED
The topic for this group alone is sufficient to make people cry in the streets, throwing bricks and whatnots, crushing windows and noses. We assume that there will be heated debates, so here are a few tips on what and how and if.
- We are here to present different ideas and discuss them - NOT fighting about which idea is the best one.
- We are here to learn new things - NOT to argue if Capitalism or Socialism will win eventually. (In our dreams neither of them will anyway.)
- We are here to make new insights and BUST the old paradigm - NOT to get angry and defend any old structure or system.
IF YOU FEEL A THREAD IS NEAR TO CATCH FIRE AND TURN INTO A FLAME WAR - CALL FOR PIZZA!!!
A call for pizza is a way to politely say to all concerned that you feel that the temperature is rising too high. If at least three persons have called for pizza within the same thread and within two days, the main antagonists are asked to step down and chill out. If it doesn't help - contact a host.
Example of a Pizza call:
Subject - Pizza call
Body - I would like a chicken, mushroom and curry pizza, please.
DID YOU MAKE A MISTAKE AND WANT TO CHANGE SOMETHING YOU POSTED?
We all make honest mistakes from time to time. If you started to comment or discuss something in an -- ADD -- thread for instance, just relax and contact one of the hosts.
Heated posts are harder to redeem. Gladly though, our language has been fitted with ways to handle this. Say "sorry" and contact a host if you want a post to be deleted.

LINKS, LINKS, LINKSThey come in handy to make it easier for others to obtain info, but please use the LINK FEATURE - write "Link to homepage" or similar and turn that text into a link.
Why? Links that are pasted into a post may be too wide for the page, and since it will not break, the width of the page will accomodate according to the length of the URL. We don't want that. It makes reading threads a pain.
How to use the Link Feature
When you reply to a post you will have a menu bar on top of the text field. Third from the right is a small chain - that's the Link Icon.
- Copy the URL you want to paste
- Go to the post you are composing
- High-light the text that you want to make a link of
- Click the Link Icon
- Enter the URL

One way to learn new things is to read a book. Reading a book may start us to think in new ways and of new things. Reading a book all alone, having nobody to discuss the topic with may be very frustrating. To remedy this, there will be reading-circles tagged "ReadO: (title of text inserted)".
If there is a text in the Book thread that you wish to discuss, start a reading-circle. If the text you would like to discuss is NOT in the Book thread - add a link to the text and then start a reading-circle.
