to the group.
I am mostly to look for information other members post and join discussions.
Personally possibility of learning about various socialist movements, like neomarxism, Praxis or Fankfurt, are of my motives to join. Plus anything I have not thought about.
I'm not as active on Care2 as I used to be however the 'Money Meme' is a fascinating subject to brainstorm on though I'm skeptic about the utopian-believes of "busting" it.

As a happy family father, husband of a most gifted mother and teacher, an engineer and inhabitant of one of the most fortunate nations in this world ... I feel I'm a very lucky ...! I feel a strong responsibility to do my very best to ensure that anyone on this planet, including my childrens children, will have the prospect of being able to attain a similar level of well-being in our common future.
So, what's my point in joining this group?
The SHEW Initiative focusses on structural change of our governance, economic and value systems through joined efforts of our common sense ... for the purpose of envisioning and pursuit of a world of Sustainable Human and Ecologiocal Well-being.
The people @ C2C provide a rich source of inspiration for that cause.
This group connects people who are willing to question current currency systems and have an open mind for setting new starting points for the re-design of our economical systems. I hope to find some inspiration here ... and maybe in return I can inspire a few people as well.

I've long questioned the fibres that weave the fabric of society. I spent many long years in the working world, abandoning it some years ago to learn alternate healing modalities and write. I'm working on living a simple, quiet life that meets my basic needs and allows me to be creative and spontaneous.
This group is a fantastic idea. These kinds of endeavours are indicative of a new global - no, universal - consciousness.
I hope I can make worthwhile contributions.

I've seen the members list, and I see a few friends here. I hope to make more while I'm here.
For those who don't know me, Let me give a brief intro.
My name is Tim Redfern, I'm 46 and a native of Los Angeles.
I've been living in Northeast Tennessee since 1995, but
within the next month, I'm going back home to Southern
California to stay.
I am in very poor health, suffering from Systemic Lupus,
Discoid Lupus and advanced Emphysema. I've come to the
conclusion that I will die of old age before I'm approved
for any kind of medical coverage in Tennessee, which is
why I'm going home. California is easily the most compassionate
state in the country when it comes to social services.
I look forward to being a part of this group. For years, my philosophy has been "Live simply that others may simply live", so that's where I'm at.

Litha has been my friend on C2 for some time now and one of the rare people ...in the world...and on C2 I actually communicate with.
She's invited me to join this group.
I need to take a look around, as Marc says up there (or down there) & get a feel for it.
But I must say, first impressions, it feels very friendly !
Forgot to say, that I knew of Marc and admired him because of his Willy Brandt pledge and petition
