Hello dear friends, I do not know what took me so long to find this beautiful group topic and thread, I love reading all of these sayings, and I love all the pictures and videos, Since I have already sent you extra green stars today, I can not send more till Monday. But I could not let today go by without saying that you all are the best bunch of friends God ever put here on earth, You all knoiw exactly what to say to make my day seem better, everytime I look on here in any of the Groups that you all take part in, They are outstanding. Keep up the good work. Sincerely Kay M.
Wendy,.. that is so cute! Thank you!
I did not let anyone know in this group, but this past Tuesday, someone came into my house through my back patio door while I was out talking to a neighbor for some 25 minutes.
I don't know what happened but this person "assaulted" one of my kitties (Elsie) upon kicking him, leaving him with a wound on his nose, and severely hurt physically.
It has been a touch and go week for Elsie, and extremely unnerving for me, to see my cat that I watched being born, and that I have now raised for 10 years, be abused by a complete stranger. Elsie is slowly making a comeback, so seeing the picture that you posted Wendy restored my smile.
Kay, your memo is mutually regarded, in the absence of what is. You add so much warmth to this group, and the Care2 Community.
As Tim Janis is a friend of mine, his music absolutely touches my soul, and gives me comfort, so I thought I would share it with all of you, to help me recover from this week, to bring renewal to the new season.

JEN, THAT IS AWFUL, THAT NO MARK (AS WE WOULD CALL SOMEONE LIKE THAT ) WHO COULD HURT YOUR CAT, IS DISPICABLE, IT MUST HAVE BEEN SO AWFUL FOR YOU, AND TRAUMATISING FOR POOR ELSIE.
WORDS FAIL ME, I AM SO GLAD ELSIE IS ON THE ROAD TO RECOVERY, I KNOW IT IS YOUR LOVE FOR ELSIE THAT HAS PULLED HIM THROUGH IT ALL,
THERE IS NO POINT IN TRYING TO REASON OUT THE UNREASONABLE, WE WILL NEVER UNDERSTAND, THE "NO MARKS" SUCH AS THE PERSON? WHO HURT ELSIE, BECAUSE WE ARE NOT MADE THAT WAY, WE WILL NEVER EVER UNDERSTAND SUCH BEHAVIOUR, SO TRYING TO IS A FUTILE EXERCISE, AND PROLONGS OUR PAIN. MUCH BETTER TO CONCENTRATE ON ELSIE, THANK GOD, ELSIE IS STRONG ENOUGH TO RECOVER FROM THE INJURIES, SPOIL HIM, ENJOY HIS RECOVERY, AND GIVE HIM A GENTLE HEADBUTT AND KISS FROM ME,
I SO HOPE THE PERPETRATOR IS CAUGHT AND BROUGHT BEFORE THE LAW, THINKING ABOUT YOU JEN, LOTS OF LOVE AND HUGS X WENDY K X
Thank you Ms Wendy!
Here is a picture of Elsie (at my old house..) he is doing much better today. Iwas able to pick him up, without him crying in pain. The worst of his healing took place over the past 4 days. My neighbor just came by to check on him, and to our surprise, he was able to be picked up. I couldn't do the Wednesday through yesterday.
That tells me that everyone's prayers have traveled far, and touched him.
So sweet Jen, have you put him ,up for cat of the month , on cat Lovers thread, you should, lots of love and well wishes, to Elsie, and to you, purrrrs headbuts kisses, x wendy k x
Wendy,.. When I snapped this picture,.. Elsie was in the middle of having a conversation with a hummingbird. You don't want to know the final outcome! (you would be giving Elsie a spank on his rump! He caught the bird with ONE SWAT!!)
You're in my thoughts and prayers, Jen. Sending much love and kitty hugs to Elsie from me and Ginger -- and Guy.
Thank you Ms. Betty..
Elsie is making a come back. I can't believe thgat he was not left brain damaged, as He got the wind kicked out of him. He couldn't see or hear for a couple of days.
He was left with a gash on his nose that has FINALLY stopped bleeding, and the swelling has gone down.I'm blessed that there has been no abcess.
At this point, he still has pain under his front little "arm pits" and he's still having trouble going potty. The first few days has was really woblly on his back legs, and he had loss his ability to meow and purr, but that has resumed. Thank goodness!
Elsie has a good appetite and he's drinking, and he's actually able to jump up to low levels, but I just can't pick him up, other wise he yelps.
The vet has stated to expect about a two to three week healing period. Once again, I'm really surprised that he made it, as my son and I thought he would be gone by Thursday, if not a week, at best two weeks.
Elsie is truly the soul survivor of his litter. I watched him being born on July 16, 2003. 've raised him now for 10 years. He is like a fuzzy child to me.
I still have one other, named Cocolani, who I have had since since was a month old,.. also a soul survivor, who has been like "mama" to Elsie. She has taken on great spirit since the ordeal, as Elsie was the only one who was abused by the intruder. Usually, it's Coco that comes forward to deter the unwlecome, which has only happened once befor, as she did not recognize my son some years ago, who came into the house in the dark.
Together they are both little "Super troopers."
Everyones thoughts and prayers have been greatly appreciated, as my world felt as if it was crashing as of Tuesday. I am to beleive that God knew that it was not Elsie's, nor Coco's time.
We are a still abit nervous about being violated, so we're being real careful and quiet right now.
it's a beautiful first day of fall, so we're making the most of the season's renewal by getting ready for the holidays, preparing the house for the upcoming holidays with a change of festive new flower arrangements throughout.
Once again,.. thank you Betty and Wendy for your kindness and understanding.
This is a picture of my little brood, Cocolani and Elsie and their toys (less Everette, who passed away three years ago .)
A LITTLE QUOTE TO MAKE YOU SMILE AND HELP YOU COPE,

Wendy,.. i was thinking the same thing, .. to keep by my door! You're too funny!
BTW,. Elsie has had a setback. This morning I found a huge mass on the front of his chest. I'm hoping that it's an abcess, as I noticed it was wet, so I'm hoping that it's draining. I also noticed that Els's tummy is quite upset, so I'm not sure what to think of what is causing it other than the reality that his internal organs were severly dmaged beyond what I can comprehend.
He is puttering about the house, in good spirit, but he is not quite himself, so I am abit nervous and on edge.
Your thoughtfulness is embraced dearly through the tears of preparation for what is yet to come upon the unknown.
SENDING YOU AND ELSIEPRAYERS, GUARDIAN ANGEL AND HEALING POWERS,
LET US KNOW HOW ELSIE IS GETTING ON, THINKING OF YOU X WENDY K X
Thank you. It is greatly appreciate Wendy. I am having a very hard time coping right now. I'm trying to keep busy, in as calm a state as I can.
MESSAGE ME IF YOU WANT TO, X WENDY K X
Right now Wendy, I am in a storm of tears , dread, and shut down in the midst of my anger about my inability to afford the vet payment, and the person who did this.. I can barely move I am in so much grief.
Let me get my head cleared, and sorted,.. and then I'll be able to communicate more affectively.
Once again, thank you for your kiondness and outreach.
Jen , do you know who did it? Hoping Elsie is getting better, won't your vet take payments? Hugs to you both, I just found this post today.
The only way the vet will see me is by cash, or credit card, or by Care Credit.com, which I cannot qualify for.
I am having a very hard time conceptualizing how greedy Vets are, upon having a "too bad so sad "mantra."
I'm having a hard enough time finding a job, due to the fact that i don't have a car, so it puts me in crisis upon my cats needs in the face of an emergency.
The Mgmt where I live is so negligent, that they mantra is "SOORRYY" and "No Sooorryy" about EVERYTHING!
it's been a slap in the face that I had asked for a lock to be put on my screen over and over and over again over a 5 and a half year period. One was finallly put on the day after my cat was accosted, and is now hanging on to life.
This is not how I wanted to start the new fall season, nor the holidays. Elsie and Cococ have been my life, so loosing one of them will be like loosig a child since I watched Elsie being born.
It does not seem imaginable that the sun is out while I am being consumed with the sight of seeing my animal that is like a child to me, having to pay the consequence for another human's cruelty. It compounds the reality of what is.
Al I can do is make the most of what time I have left with Elsie, and cherish that love.
Thank you for your thoughts and kindness.
I am deeply SO SORRY for you & your little family. I am very animal minded. That is just awful what you are having to go through. Bad attitude of that vet as well. Hugs.

Thank you for the adventures with Raffi; I had forgotten how much I enjoyed listening to him, I had all of his recordings when I use to baby sit to make extra money. I would take them and let the children listen before bed time, or if they were good after school Watching all of the videos you sent brought back such great memories. I LOVE LOVE LOVE THEM ALL. Out of the nine or ten videos, I love Baby Beluga the best, next would be shake the silly out, and third would be rise and shine. Keep them coming I needed the laugh tonight. Thanks for the memories Sincerely Kay M.
Yes, Indeed~Kay~ Thank you~ I love all his great songs too~
Here is one great treasured hymn Diana Ross sings~
for an inspirational read I recommend this book , it is about a young boy, locked into himself, through autism, he then meets Jess a cat, and throught their interaction, the boy, opens his world and speaks for the first time, the book is well written, and heart warming, I will post the photo of the front cover, see have you heard about this book, love and hugs xwendy k x
Dear Nance ; I have spent the last couple of days off and on watching the You Tube Videos and music you suggested. Diana Ross singing Amazing Grace, and others I got to look at and listen to Elvis, Ray Charles, and others, My most favorite was listening to the Righteous Brothers singing Unchained Melody and other songs, and Susan Boyle and all of her musical numbers. I could go on and on, But let me just say You are an inspiration, because without knowing you sent just what I needed when I needed it. music to make people feel better......period. I will keep this posting highlighted in my open mail so I can refer back to it everytime I need it. God Bless You, Good Night, Sweet Dreams, Sincerely Kay M.

WORLD ANIMAL DAY
Many people feel drawn to advocate for animals because even though they can feel pain and suffer just as we do, they do not have a way to advocate for their own welfare. In fact, animals are viewed by many as nothing more than property to be treated however the owner wishes. This view has created an inhumane situation for billions of animals that share our world.
- many of the world's 60 billion farm animals are not treated humanely
- 80% of the world's 1 billion cats and dogs are stray or neglected
- millions of wild animals are killed or sold illegally on the black market worth $10 billion a year
- animals suffer greatly and are often forgotten during natural disasters
World Animal Day is a time to celebrate and appreciate our relationship with the animals that share our planet and the ways in which they enrich our lives. It is also an important opportunity to speak out to ensure the humane treatment of farm animals and to advocate for protection of the habitats that are home to wild animals. It was started in 1931 by ecologists in Florence who wished to bring attention to the plight of endangered animals. October 4 was chosen because it is the Feast Day of St. Francis, the patron saint of animals. Today World Animal Day is observed in countries throughout the world.
Thought I'd share some true inspiration: Grab your coffee, and get comfortable so you can watch this!
