Thanks a lot, my darling! These are the most known traditional Russian dolls. Nanette, we can open new thread, and we shall place the whole collection of matreshka (nested dolls) in it.
I believe we should include photos of Matryoshka, Nyevalyashka, Cheburashka, perhaps even Ded Moros -- they are all typical Russian characters, they represent Russian culture. I have Matryoshka and Nyevalyashka here in my house. Will take pictures of them for you. Besides, for Mother's Day (although I am not a mother unless you count my two furry kids, a schnauzer and a poodle) they gave me a regular doll that was made in Russia (I rather believe in China) and speaks Russian. She can say, "Smile!". "Play with me!" and such. Lovely souvenir... I still love dolls, regular dolls that are meant for little girls to play.
