Susan, I thought I had pm'ed you here with my email addy but justmailed you now. And I agree, this is a horrible story, ppl who shoot at cats! Maybe the owner just didnt want to pay the vetting and knew about the incident?
She's at $40 now...I find the widget doesnt update (on my blog for instance) I usually click on more options and open it on the server. There I see the actual fund.
Janet - Susan said nothing is showing up in PP on their end either. So she said to double check and make sure Spalding is spelled correctly in Paypal...
If you are not getting any confirmation emails from PP then I would say the transaction is not going through though so maybe email PP...or try from a different computer?
Janet....usually when this happens something is mis-spelled... November 01, 2009 2:32 PM
lots of people put a U in Spalding... doublecheck and make sure you are sending to: SpaldingUrgents@hotmail.com.... and thanks so much! Sorry you are having trouble!
Nope, Spalding is spelled correctly November 02, 2009 7:39 AM
and I'm frustrated, and also afreaid to put it in AGAIN - i've put it in twice now and if i do it a third time and they all go through it will screw up my budget for the next two weeks. any other suggestions? i am frustrated as i know time is running out. can anyone DO something about this? or is she rescued and it's just a question of getting the funds to her? if so, i will do snail mail if necessary.
Janet...is your Paypal account set up with your checking November 02, 2009 10:05 AM

Mailing a check is fine... Winging Cat Resceue 31 Stanton st Northport,NY 11768 Betty Boop is safe.... she just needs boarding funding... sorry for all the trouble!
I've sent the rest. Thanks to everyone who helped her!
Now I have a request for some prayers. I have a friend at work who is a super sweet lady. She loves animals, she took in a stray campus cat (black and white, she named him Oreo) and she's one of the nicest people you'd ever want to meet. She was fine yesterday and she's in ICU at the local hospital today with some serious health problems. What's the connection to this kitty? Irene just loves Betty Boop. She has BB shirts, BB pictures on her office walls and a BB screen saver on her computer.
I know it's a tenuous link, but I hope that since we have saved Betty Boop the Cat that good things will happen for my friend Irene. All prayers and healing energies are appreciated. Thanks so much.
Just a quick update on Irene -- good news! She should be home by now. I spoke with her yesterday and she was due to be discharged from the hospital yesterday afternoon. Things were pretty up and down for her last week so I was hesitant to post, but she is definitely on the mend!
I told her about Betty Boop and all your good wishes and she was very touched. Many, many thanks to a very special group of healers.
please let her know that Betty Boop is also progressing along well.
In response to my inquiry abt how she is with stairs---
She goes up and down but she walks with a noticeable limp on the right rear
I can pick her up and hold her until she decides she wants to leave and then she bolts.
if you try and get her when she does not want you to -she scratches and tries to bite. I don't want to just grab her because I do not want to hurt her anymore than she has been. I understand that she is probably scared with all the changes she's been through /home then to the pound then a new home and then back again to the pound.
--------
so we really will have to look for a patient home for her.
okay everybody start xposting for this kitty. she needs a home. she can handle stairs so other than having a BB in her back, this is one feisty kitty in need of a forever place to land.
did i remember to mention that Betty boop now has a new home?
a family who was actually looking for a declawed kitty fell in love with her
I asked for a photo when the dad has time --ha! with four kids and the holidays coming....that might be awhile.
Just goes to show----who woulda thought this kitty would blend in so well with a rambunctious family? It was love at first sight for Betty with the youngest child. this adoption was done on a trial basis --they're related to a local rescuer.
BB's mommy talked my ear off today. said she's "well, definitely not a lapcat--probably because of the bb in her spine ---but she runs around chasing the kids as they play--plays with the kids' toys--loves one sock toy,for sure---bats them(the toys- not the kids) around--climbs up the sofa to sit with them --absolutely wonderful with the whole family--and these are rather playful kids. she GIVES KISSES. noses, chins, cheeks.
