Dear friends..I am not sure how much I will be here at Care2.com for the next week..I just got a call from my sister and she told me that my stepdad is not doing good at all..They are going to ask the doctor if we need to call the family members to be at his side..Dave and I will be going to Modesto at some point toward the end of the week..
I love ya all very much and will update you all as I can ~Thanks for all of the support..JoAnna
Also ..
Dianne M. Is back in bed with pneumonia ..Please keep her in your thoughts..
Angie thank you..My stepdad is 90 and he was in War WarII and he has lived a strong life..He is fighting for his life right now and he is very tired..Thank you for your continued prayers and thoughts..
Germany invades Poland beginning World War II in 1939. Pear Harbor is attacked by the Japanese, prompting the entry of America into World War II. Germany unconditionally surrenders on May 7th, 1945. World War II ends on September 2nd in 1945 with the official Surrender of Japan.
Good News..The Doctors took my step dad off some very strong meds and when he woke up was doing much better this morning..He even ate some of his breakfast..He has a Nurse in his hospital room at all times when no family is there..We will be going down tomorrow~Saturday to see him..To everyone who sent me support..Thank You so much..

JoAnna, am so glad things are improving for your step-dad - he is obviously a very important person.
Sorry all for not popping in sooner but have been ill this past week with
pneumonia, but am now on the mend, and didn't end up in hospital this
time, like I did last year in ICU for a week......never had problems
with winter before and not asthmatic, but a bad health and moving 3
times in past 5 years at my age, has taken it out of me, and after 1
bad attack of bronchial pneumonia one year, now get ill every year in
mid of winter.....and i live in the sunshine state, so really can't ask
for better weather. Will have to start reading all the mail to see what has been happening this past week.
Im glad Joanna's dad is a little better and Dianne is over her illness! I didnt know about any of it, because Im really not at Care2 very much anymore, most of my time here is spent in my OVERFLOWING mailbox, and trying to get through messages and respond, but there is usually too many glitches to do that properly anymore...
It certainly has had it's downs... then ups this week for JoAnna and Dianne.
Jo... so great that things have taken a turn for the good with your Dad!
Dianne... so happy to hear you are on the mend! Pneumonia is such a nasty thing that can sneak up on you without you realizing it until it's really bad.
Happy Sunday to all, except I think it's now Monday is Aussieland... so happy Monday too.
Now its Tuesday night Down Under August 18, 2009 1:49 AM
Hi Everyone and thank you for your kind wishes - am not totally better yet, but much improved, though this cold evening wind goes right through me....one of the penalties of living right next to the ocean I guess - great in summer though. Finally got out to the shops today to do a bit as the cupboards were getting a bit bare and the cats were complaining about biscuits all the time. Also managed to get a load of washing done and hopefully another one tomorrow will bring me up to date. I thought I just had a bad cold and seemed to get better, but then got the chills and went downhill from there - happens every year though - maybe I should take a cruise next year and go further north. - now theres a thought !!!
