The last wild buffalo populations are currently estimated at fewer than 4,200 individual animals, living in and around Yellowstone National Park. Wild bison are currently ecologically extinct throughout their native range in North America.

I do not know why it would not be a top prioroty to protect any endangered animal.I am glad to help in any way that I can.these are upsetting statistics,Vicky.

Thank you for your support, Kaya.  It is heartbreaking what the cattle industry and BLM are doing to the wild bison.   I have fought for them for many years.  I will post some things shortly; bills that are in front of the Legislation right now.   SB143 is the most dangerous I think.   Anyway, there will be phone numbers, email addresses and regular addresses to contact the Legislators and let them know your stance on these matters.   Maybe one day the bison will be safe.
