Hi everyone, I'm from Australia and am in my forties and have recently began practicing yoga again after many, many years. My daily practice has already improved my mind, body and spirit immensely and I'm enjoying feeling a lot better. I also see yoga as a form of meditation which helps keep stress at bay.
Happy to be here!
Good afternoon everybody, I'm Slava, 29 and live in Toronto, Ontario Canada.
I was first introduced to yoga in high school and fell in love with it ever since. I'm extremely grateful to have come across Ashtanga and Hatha as they've both helped me develop extreme flexibility and relieve lower back pain caused by minor scoliosis. Apart from yoga I also love calisthenics and weight lifting. Virtually every night my sleep is filled with twisting and turning from side to side; which is why physical exercise is so vital to my life.
Hi im a newbie here.. I haven't tried yoga actually, but i am planning to.. Can anyone tell me the best place to practice it? Thanks in advance!
I used to do light yoga at work for more than an year. I also subscribed to yoga journal for two years.
I also visit health clubs occasionally.
Hi all, i'm new here. name is carol. I go to a hatha yoga class one to two times a week, and try to take in a hot yoga class on Saturdays.
My name's Matt and in addition to practicing yoga for a couple of years now, I also just started working with Gaiam TV. Some of you in this thread mentioned looking for beginner yoga classes and so I wanted to let you know that we've just launched our new Gaiam TV YouTube channel where you can check out free previews of a ton of our online yoga videos. You can also visit our website at GaiamTV.com to sign-up for a free 10-day trial where you view full episodes through our online streaming service.
I'm really excited to be a part of the Yoga Journeys community and learn more about how you all stay inspired with your yoga practice - something that I've strugged with from time to time.
Thanks and I'll look forward to connecting with each of you in the future.
Matt at Gaiam TV
I'm Thiruvelan, and I have been doing yoga for childhood; however, I stopped doing it after marriage. My son had Pyloric Stenosis from birth; due to frequent heavy vomiting and non-sleeping, the whole family's health is affected. I correct these health problems using herbs, homeopathy, yoga, acupressure and reflexology. Thus, I and my son start doing yoga to bring back health.
Yoga is a wonderful healing system without any side effects; however, it has numerous known and unknown benefits (both physically and mentally).
I had a website on sedentary life disease and its treatment by alternative medicine. Additionally, I started a group Healthy-ojas in Care2 to share and gain knowledge from the people in this wonderful community. I invite you to join this group to gain and share your valuable knowledge.
I've never tried yoga but am thinking about taking a class. Any recommendations on which type to take?
Looking to reconnect with my yoga self from years ago got off the path and really want to return and hope to find motivation and inspiration among our discussions. All the best.
Hey. Yoga is cool but, I don't really do yoga that much.
I have joined this group to discover more about what is going on in the Yoga community. I help manage the OCOY.org website (Original Christianity and Original Yoga), dedicated to Paramhansa Yogananda.
I hope to find like minded souls who aspire to higher things. Thanks for making this group available.
It's nice to meet you here, though I don't visit here much anymore.
I also live with chronic pain, and I'm glad that I have had yoga training as it helps me cope.
Wishing you all the best in reducing the pain
I'm Karen, nice to be here, I'm just beginning to learn about yoga and so far it has helped me a lot as I suffer from chronic pain. I'm hoping to learn more and meet some new friends. Does anyone still visit this group?
WELCOME Katherine and NEW MEMBERS!!!!!
hi new members !!!
I just wanted to say hi and that it's great to be here. I have peen practicing yoga for several years and can only say that my life was changed for the better the day I picked up my first video. It has become more then exercise, it is a way of living. There is a "peace" that yoga has brought into my life that I could never see my self living without again. I look forward to chatting here!
I do Yoga daily along with Mindful Meditation. It releases stress, and keeps me focused on what is now. What others do has no significance to me. People will always be who they are. It's not my problem. I use kind , calm, and a loving approach now.
i'm happy to begin yoga again this year in a course . I never stopped practising by myself but it's better ton follow a course for me !
I've been practicing yoga on and off for about 10 years now. Looking forward to joining a group class in a few weeks for some Hatha yoga after work. Yoga keeps me balanced, centered and grounded. It's also wonderful for all of its physical health benefits. Truly, everyone should be doing some form of yoga as part of their exercise routine. I'm also a veggie/vegan and find that this diet really deepens my yoga practice, knowing that what I'm ingesting is compassionate and healthful.
Thanks for this group. It's encouraging to note how many members there are.
I attended yoga classes with Acharya Roy Upendra in Sydney, starting in the 70s. I'd probably be dead long before now if I hadn't the ability I developed of being in-tune with my body/mind. The benefits of meditation, breathing and postures have helped me through long years of health problems. Bedridden and in non-stop pain I rely on meditation, breathing and stretching. A year ago I was able to reduce my intake of painkillers by half.
Thank you Acharya, where ever you are.
My name is Tiana and I have practiced Ashganta yoga for 10 years now, twice a day. Its was a lot harder to learn than I thought it would be and I am always improving, and growing in my asanas, meditation, and yogi life. Hope to make some cool friends, and gain more knowledge.
Yoga is great to practise.
Hi everyone! I've been into meditation for several years, but very new to yoga postures. Thought I join this group for resourceful information. I was a subscriber to Yoga Journal, but my subscription ran out and cannot find it in my budget to renew at the present time. It's a great magazine though!
I would be delighted to "meet" some of you!
Please introduce yourself
Hi everybody! i just joined "seconds" ago...i've been practicing
and teaching yoga over 25 years....
I had a major abdominal surgery 3 months ago and cannot physically
practice..i did go to a retreat last weekend, and participated in
all other activites...such as chanting..
I miss the physical part and will have to wait a good year before
i can return to it..very difficult.
just to share...looking for encouragement here about that. But i'm
sure i can help others as well in various areas.
My name is Mary and I have just joined the group! I have been practicing yoga since I was a teen. I am back in Toronto, Canada after having spent several years in London, UK. My current yoga passions are vinyasa, restorative and yin yoga. When I'm not practicing, I write a little yoga blog, http://www.dancingchiyoga.com
Hello! My name is Sharon Carlaine and I am the founder and owner of Sol 308 Yoga in San Juan, PR. Yoga has completely changed my life, and I am very excited to be bringing forth Ashtanga Vinyasa classes to my neighbors! Hope to meet, learn from & share with everyone!! Namaste!
Hello everyone. I just joined 5 minutes ago. I've been doing some yoga routines for aprox 2yrs now. I am very drawn to the deeper meaning of yoga. I need to make yoga a routine in my life. I would like to know more about the different types of yoga and would also like to join a local group that I could practice w/ schedule permitting.
A warm welcome to all newcomers! And Maybelle it certainly does benefits to do yoga and it helps for healing your body and soul. And Yes there are great benefits from yoga!I hope you get some answers and lots of luck.
Hi everybody, This is Magi, I have been doing Yoga over 5years, I am glad to join this group and looking forward be a part of group.
I got into yoga when I was 14, through a book. Most of my progress, actually, has been through books and, more recently, DVDs; I haven't had much luck with classes.
I practise generic hatha yoga, with a focus on posture and limbering, helpful with my bellydancing practice as well. I've been reading Yoga Journal and other specialised magazines on and off for six years now. I'm not too advanced in meditation, but what I do know is helping me regulate my life, so I'm happy.
I'm a stay at home mom and military wife, so life can get stressful. I suffer from anxiety and some depression and have found with practicing yoga each morning, I feel so much better. Physically and mentally it is a wonderful tool to manage my days and I hope that when we return to the States I can get certified to teach. I am a massage therapist and passionate about nutrition and am looking to help others lead a healthier life. Glad to be part of this group!
Hi, I'm Paige. I have practiced yoga off and on for many years, mostly for fitness and stress relief; however, about a year ago something clicked in my practice and now I've been pursuing yoga on a spiritual level as well. It's opened up a whole new way of looking at the world for me and I'm very happy to have made this connection. I look forward to meeting and befriending other yoga practitioners here.
Welcome, Megan V. (liberal4peace?) I hope that you will get involved in discussions, or start your own. And do browse the archives - there are a lot of topics there.
Hi, I'm liberal4peace. I love yoga. I really should practice more than I do... Nice to meet everyone!
nothing to feel sorry about my 'anonymous' post. It just crates a giggling, thats all. Its my fault I forgot to put a smiley in my post. These sweet little contradictions do happen with humans, machines and software.
We used to have three hosts for this group. This thread was started by one of the hosts, who had to quit hosting because due to time and work and so on. I think she stayed on as an anonymous, so it causes this thread to show up that way. Sorry for the confusion.
The topic is Introduce yourself. And the creator is...Anonymous. and on the top it, this line appeared while I was posting : [anonymous posts not allowed in this group]
Welcome to Winefred and Carla. It's really good to hear how yoga is helping people!
How does the Mayan culture relate to yoga?
Hi Lisa Z,
I went on the website you recommend,I forwarded it to face book on my profile.
I'm practising healing Yoga,I had a big operation(I was diagnosed with Kidney cancer) and I needed to unload all of the tension after the operation.
My psychologist recommended this wonderful teacher and I started two months later with the healing yoga,I don't regret going to the sessions,I always end up real relaxed at the end.
So yoga it is for me and I'm doing just fine at the moment.
And thanks for the site.
I`m enchanted with all Yoga practises, I currently run a cozzy Yoga Studio along with my partner where we try to focus on the self development throught this marvelous way of life.
Being this City one of the greatest it's very sad that Yoga still is not a very common practise but be sure I'm working on it!!!!
Love Yoga as it was the sign I was not that blind to see and be aware that life is more than the one I used to have, therefore I became a Yoga instructor that gives herself every breath I take, currently we spice a little bit everyday sessions with a bit of the great and ancient Mayan Culture.

It has been a long time since I've been to the Yoga Journeys forum - pretty bad, as I'm supposedly the host. But for some reason Care2 has not been forwarding messages to my email account. I've also changed job, so have much less time to actually go to the site (I don't possess my own computer). Anyway, now that I've realised that the silence was technological rather than people not posting, I will try to be a bit more active on the boards. Welcome to all of you who have joined since I last welcomed anyone!
Hi All, I am new to the group. I have been doing yoga on and off for a few years. Recently I started a more habitual practice due to a back injury I am trying to heal. I look forward to being a part of this group, I already learned a lot from the board! April
Hi to everybody!
I am new to this group - and I hate to say, new to social networking sites (so forgive my blunders!). At the moment, I am coming back to yoga and meditation with a renewed spirit. I started my practice eleven years ago, during my first visit to India and had a great experience of self-awareness, detachment and inner peace. But then, after getting on with "normal life", yoga had progressively become another form of exercise and had lost the original purpose. Now, however, I am really getting into the real spirit of a yoga once again, not only as a way to maintain balance of mind and body, but mostly as a discipline towards self-realization and harmony with the world. And so, in a week's time, I am traveling back to India (this is my fourth trip) and I will spend the next three months in the Himalayas, hopefully developing my self-awareness and my capacity for compassion. As I said, I am new to this kind of social interaction, but hopefully will be able to contribute something to this group and exchange opinions with similarly-minded people.
Hello everyone! My name is Lauren and I just joined this group. I love doing yoga - I currently practice hatha and ashtanga yoga, as those classes are offered at my gym. I have been doing yoga off and on for the past 7 years or so, but I decided to really get back into it at the beginning of 2009. I try to attend class at least once a week, but I feel best going 3 times a week when my schedule allows for it. I'd love to learn how to do yoga on my own at home for the days when I can't go to the classes!
Looking forward to meeting some of you and feel free to add me as a friend!
I am practicing Yoga for last 20 years. In India we r taught yoga in most scientific way. There are many instititutions that provide scientific traing of yoga. It is an art of balancing mind and body.
I have beinifited a lot by practicing yoga. but I would like to mention that one should not think about the benifits of it while practicing yoga. The benifits follw on their own if one keeps faith,
My name is cecilia and I've been practising yoga for the last 8 years. I can't tell you how much my life has changed since then. I feel good, healthy and strong, and of course, really connected with myself. The second step was being a vegetarian and now I feel completely good!

ive never done yoga b4, but i feel it would b a very wise choice 2 have it as a daily routine. (thnx 4 the invite, btw!!!)
its a nice to do yoga in the morning, because it refreshes your all the activity that youare doing daily day by day you got the improvement and much more In india, it is on high importance, as you can see the case of Baba Ramdev and his patanjali yog vidhya peeth. see and join or take the benefit from it.
I'm Lisa and I have been doing meditation and yoga for almost 15 years. I think its great that you want to start yoga and meditation.
This link is the best site I have found in a long time. You can look at different poses by categories like standing, sitting, bending...
Also it has information about meditation and all kinds of 'eastern ways'.
You need to register but it's free to do so. I think this will help you get an idea of what yoga is and what it can do for you.
Then come tell us all about how great you're doing. Soon you'll be answering questions here!
Welcome to the group and to Yoga! If you have any questions, I'd be happy to help if I can
Welcome to yoga J9ourneys, Stephanie!
I agree about the effects of not doing your daily dose of yoga, however brief. It doesn't necessarily always make me do my practice, but I always regret it when I don't! And I love Yoga Nidra too!
Hello. My name is Stephanie. I have been taking yoga classes for the last year and a half. I find that if I don't spend at least a few minutes each day doing some poses that I get grumpy and stiff. I enjoy the meditation CD Yoga Nidra.
Welcome to Barb, Carolyn and Samantha! Do share your interest and questions with the group, and don't forget to have a look at the arcives, as quite a lot of topics have been discussed there.
And Happy Christmas/New Year/whatever you celebrate to everyone! May everyone's resolves to get more involved with yoga be strong in 2009! ;o)
Hello, I am new to Yoga and have been told by my Pain Dr that it would help with my back pain. I am interested in learning more about it and how to do it.
you mistaken me 2help is created for a social cause but here u will get only yoga related postings it is like sharing the knowledge about yoga i want to know more about yoga that is the reason i joined here
have a nice day
Welcome, Steven. You are never too old to start benefitting from yoga. There are some very gentle styles, which can be done by most people, and you learn ahimsa by practising - knowing your limitations, and being kind to yourself.
Welcome, too, to Thressa and Joanna (I'm working my way back throught the postings, and don't seem to have had email alerts for several of them ...)
Thressa, I think that you will find some threads about yoga with kids in the archives, but do ask if you have more questions - there are bound to be others who are in a similar situation.
Joanna, I hope that you will find your way into a regular practice again. I know that it is harder to do yoga at home by yourself - I never relax quite so much when I am having to think about what I am going to do as I do when I just follow what a teacher is saying. I'm sure that any time you find in your schedule for yoga willl be time well spent, as you'll probably be more efficient in the rest of your life after the relaxation and energy that yoga will give you.
Welcome to you too, Cindy - I hadn't yet got an email of your posting when I welcomed Julie.
There have been some discussions about Bikram yoga which you might be able to contribute to. We'd be interested to know your experiences.
Welcome to Yoga Journeys, Julie! Do browse the threads, including those in the archives - there are several about how to begin yoga.
We'd love you to share your experience of meditation - there is a quite recent thread called What is meditation?
Hello everyone, my name is Cindy. I'm so glad to have found a web page that is so positive!! I practice Bikram Yoga and i can honestly say that it's the best thing i have ever gotten myself into.
Hello to all my name is julie i live near detroit i am new to this website as well as yoga i hope to make time in my very busy schedule to incorporate yaoga into my life as i have many other types of meditation. Ill keep my eye out for tips Thanks to all who help others help themselves.
Welcome to Yoga Journeys, Jagadeesh.
What is 2help? Yoga Journeys is intended for the discussion of yoga, and we can't accept regular articles unless they are about yoga.
Jagadeesh from holy land INDIA I HAVE BEEN IN CARE2 since from 2007 i love this website very much nice meeting every body u will get regular articles from 2help
I took yoga five or six years ago and it was yoga which helped me to struggle with some really bad and difficult moments in my life. Last year I couldn't do it due to strange cicumstances, but it was really hard for me. I tried to do some at home but.... it's not the same. Now I decidet to reorganize my life a little bit to find time for yoga again.
i've taken a few yoga classes and never felt so refreshed, but now circumstances have me unable to take the class. any ideas how to begin at home and incorporate your children.
No matter your age or weight you can enjoy the benefits of these two forms of exercise. A Certified Instructor will not do anything in the class that would cause you harm. They are taught to gradually increase your abilites. You will be amazed at how relaxed you will become as well as feel good inside your own body again.
Yoga or Tai Chi?
I want to have yoga and/or Tai Chi...I look and they said ...
Well, I am big and I do not think the Lotus position is for me, if so please answere. My friend had Tai Chi and he did not practise it...I am not waiting for him to to mine as all other things...
I am interested in yoga but feel my old bones arent up to it ,very interesting group and I will have a rake around the archives for some advice, if anyone can throw a short guide in an easy to understand way it would help.
Welcome, Richard! Do share your experience of yoga and meditation with the group - we can all learn from each other!
Hi, I am new to this group. I have been practising yoga meditation for many years. I was fortunate enough to get a good initial grounding in Iyengar yoga nd now I practice on my own and use yoga with more and softer breath as an aid to mindfulness meditation, (as well as helping my aging bones!).
I look forward to sharing and participating with you all in this group.
If you look at the group's archives, you'll find quite a lot of discussion about how to get started. A class is probably the best way, as then you will have a real person to answer questions, and interact with what you are doing. There are lots of different styles of yoga, so if you have the luxury of choice, you may wish to try a few different ones. DVDs are probably the next best choice, as you can see someone actually doing the poses, and can copy them. Books can also help.
New to this. Hoping to learn to relax more. Where should I start to learn the beginnings?
I've just seen some more new people, whose messages were not forwarded to my inbox. Welcome, too, to Sharren, Meggie, and Sandi!
We're delighted to welcome you to the group, Nayomi. Everyone has something to bring to it, whether they've done a handful of classes, or practised all their lives! Please feel free to ask questions or add to discussions.
I'm not fully knowledgable about yoga but, I've took a few yoga classes. Well I know enough that I really enjoy yoga which I was keen on joining this group!
Nice to meet you. I just started yoga just about a week ago at the local ymca. I want to practice it because I suffer from alot of stress. I have bipolar disorder, and have alot of knots in my shoulders and neck all the time. I have alot of depression also, and thought it would be good to do the poses to get me to relax. Wish me luck!
I have never really posted anything in a forum before, but this seems really nice. I have been practicing different types of yoga for about 5 years now. I can honestly say it changed my life completely. Actually I can honestly say yoga is my life's passion. About two years ago I got into a Tibetan yoga brought to the west by Lama Tarthang Tulku Rinpoche, Kum Nye. Everything in my life shifted after finding this form of yoga. I am now living in a retreat center/publishing center. I practice and study Kum Nye everyday, and hope to contribute to preservation of the knowlegde contained in working with energy and perception in this way. I am interested in reading what other people have to say about their practice, and possibly insights that have stemmed from working with the body and 'subtle energy system'.
Om Ah Hung
Hi all, I just wanted to say hello, and that I am definitely here for some much-needed motivation to get back at it.
I used to take classes of Hatha Yoga, and I LOOOVED it, but haven't been able to attend the past few years. I want to get back into it, just lack of motivation on my part.
Can't wait to talk to all of you!
Hello, everyone!! My name is Richard Embleton of South Africa and I'm a Sahaja Yogi. I'm in a 24 hour meditative state of genuine Sahasrara 1000 petals and I wish to give everyone the opportunity to join Me. There are many surprises for those who venture with heart in hand, and different ideas will always clash, but Truth is infallible...
Thank you and Jai Shri Mataji
With My Love
Welcome to Yoga Journeys. I hope you find what you are seeking whether it be advice, motivation or kindred spirits.
hi...i am definately here for the much needed inspiration and motivation i need
I've been doin yoga for about 6 years now, since I was 12. Never attended classes, though, but planing on doing so this summer. Feel free to add me as a friend.
Just dropped by to introduce myself. I've been doing yoga for about four years and wish I had more time to devote to it. I've had to stop going to weekly classes due to pressure of work (studying for a degree in counselling) but can't wait to return in a couple of weeks - I really miss it!
Looking forward to making new friends
I want to welcome our new members to the group. I too come here for motivation in hopes of keeping my home practice going.
Hi there yoga friends! I've been going to yoga classes and reading lots since about fifth grade when I found my dad's copy of Light on Yoga. However, I've always had a bit of a problem maintaining a yoga practice outside of classes. So I'm here to keep myself motivated while I pursue my practice at home.
You must try hot yoga, Bikram is what I would recommend. I found it 2 years ago, my instructor had multiple knee injuries, and was able to slowly built his knees back. Is is also AMAZING for back pain. I had a bad car accident 4 years ago and yoga has been the only remedy for my lower back pain It has inspired me to take the next step and become an instructor. I leave for 9 weeks in Acapulco, MX this Saturday...Good luck to you!
Welcome to Yoga Journeys, Burcin! I hope that you find this group interesting and helpful. Please feel free to start discussions, or add to existing ones.

Welcome to Yoga Journeys, Kobie. I hope that you can find inspiration and help here!
Hello, My name is Kobie. I am new to yoga but would like to find out more about it. I had back surgury in Jan 2004 (I was 19 years old) I am now 23 yrs and I just blew my knees in a dirt bike incodent. I would like to find out the right place to start and I believe I will benifit greatly from Yoga. I look forward to running around the site for answers.
Hi, I'm posting on care2 after a long time. I've been busy re-inventing myself professionally and have now taken on a new care2 name and identity. But I assure you, I'm still the same person, though a very much re-juvenated one.
I hope you find plenty of information to help you here. And please ask questions and share experiences!
Unfortunately, I think the people who would be ready to commit to something like ojas shakti are few and far between unfortunately. Maybe that'll change with time.
Your question is really broad - there are a lot of different styles of yoga and different poses, so it would be really hard to know where to start. Take a look through some past posts to see if those will help you, and then if you're still looking for more, start a thread with your questions.
I'am new to Yoga,Iam thinking it will furthur help open chakras, and help with flexibility and spirituality. Can you help with photographic explanation(photographs with explanations written together with photographs) to help understand the yoga positions? Very much appreciated!
Yoga is wonderful, and any time that you spend on learning and practising it will be time well spent! It is quite hard to keep yourself motivated sometimes, though, especially if you are doing it by yourself. A regular class can help, if that's an option.
I'm Olja...i dont do yoga...yet
I have tried it eralier alone...but i was a bit lazy so i stopped...but i am planing to learn it...and do it...then i like what i have seen about it and i hope i can learn here more about it..i am sure i will
Very new to yoga. My doctor gave me a sheet of paper and told me that it would help with the panic attacks and also the weight loss. So far it has helped me calm down. I am looking for different discs to use at home as I can not afford to go to a gym to join the classes. Maybe at the local community college in the summer when things are not so tight. I have noticed that it helps also with the other exercises that I am doing. Mainly walking. When I buy my bike I have a feeling I will find that it helps to do the yoga poses before I go out. I am short and still 100 pounds overweight and deaf. Have lost over half my body weight that I need to lose to become healthy. I have plently of questions but will post them to the board as I am able to remeber them.
Merry Meet everyone, I am new to this group and just starting to learn Yoga, I am told it will help my pain and circulation. I purchased Yoga Booty Ballet (anyone try it?) it includes meditations (this I love). I live in Central CA.
Thank you for your contributions. And welcome to the group.
I've been practicing yoga for several years now. Only recently made it a daily practice. I really admire the spiritual knowledge that yoga offers. Descriptions of the energy centers and channels really gets my attention. I think that yoga and meditatioin has made me realize the power of every thought, how we can observe the thought process.
My name is Ali... I've always liked yoga. I started watching a show every Monday last summer. I watched it while the little girl I was babysitting was sleeping. I have really bad back pain and yoga seems to help. In fact, just last night... my pain was so bad that I could barely sit! I decided to do some yoga positions that I had learned and when I woke up this morning... NO PAIN!!! Fabulous... absolutely fabulous!
I'm a musician and so that leads to LOTS of standing and movement! My hurts from doing marching band (we think...)
I only know a few positions.. so if anyone has any tips for me... PLEASE TELL!!! I mostly need ones to help with my back and my knees. Maybe even my arms and hands...
I need some quick kind of yoga... I have a tight schedual you know! Between school... piano lessons... percussion lessons... and all the homework and practicing... I need something fast that will still make me relaxed and make the pain go away...
HELP and HELLO!!!
Welcome, Gary, dN and Jahara! I look forward to your input into the group.
Gary, it's inspiring to read what yoga has done for you!
i was intro to the concept of yoga young by my mum, and i've taken a few classes while in thailand. it wasn't til this summer have a taken it somewhat continously. in my area, yoga is offered on 6-8 week cycles. of course, i'm speaking of the physical element of yoga. i hope to someday soon study more seriously in india. i have always firmly believed in yoga. even before practicing it, yoga is logical and natural. this belief is reaffirmed during the practice drought between class cycles. i do adore it, and wish i could take a daily class.
i look forward to seeing the path this group will take.

Thank you to Larry for inviting me into this group. I incorporate Buddhist meditation into gentle Hatha yoga practice each day. This allows me to connect with Source and connect with my body's innner and outer balance. I am an artist and I find that the more I am in touch with my Higher Essential Self, or Buddha-nature, the more 'authentic' and free-flowing my creativity becomes. (some of the time )
I look forward to popping into this group when I can, and getting to know you all.
Welcome Siri and Kelly!
Hello. My name is Kelly and I am new to this group, as well. I am a beginner with Yoga, but want to learn more. I love the benefits I receive after a session. Also, I would like to know more about raw food diets and how to begin. I'm already pretty healthy, but know I'm so toxic due to pain medication I take for my back. I'd appreciate any advice.
Thanks and take care,
The previous introduction thread is getting really long.
Please introduce yourself and tell us a little about yourself and your yoga practice.
