I saw that when it was on and thought it was pretty cool! I think you have to be in a certain situation to live like that (no kids etc).  I like my land and a garden, but still, we do tend to live in places that are too big and too wasteful.

I think this little house is adorable & considering that my family of five lived, for more than a year,in a studio apartment, suitable for one or possibly a childless couple,I would say we could happily live in such small quarters.

I could absolutely live in a little place like that. Very cute place. Of course, being single right now, I don't need much. I can tell you that the way land and property is so expensive here along the southern coast (or any coast for that matter) it wouldn't be a bad idea to have something like that....that is if you live a simple existence. lol You could definitely save a ton of money on expenses. lol

Back home in the mountains of Virginia where I am from originally, I heard of people coming up with all sorts of ideas for small affordable housing....including a completely renovated train caboose....the couple turned it into an absolutely gorgeous "cottage".

A tiny little house with shelves forall of my beach and forest collecions. Old pictures.  Tiny pantry and small deep cupboards.
Neat, and the garden would be filled with bees and butterflies and worms and wonderful snakes. A big bed for my cats and me.  OH...and a bunny hutch. then inthe barn is the littlehorseI can ride to town on, or take for a buggyride.

O.k. if you are five two and own a toy poodle-I am 5'9" and have a springer, going to add a mastiff(for protection ) and two cats-just not enough room. I think monks get more living space. I could definitely live in a smaller place than I have now-3 bedrooms is dumb but the price was right. I have thought of converting a barn-room for owls and hedgies too.

Oh, we really need the barn owls and bats! They help uslive the way we were supposed to.  The flowers and berriesin the small garden willbe filledwith   bees  and butterflues. This might be small scale....butenough forsome  honey.

Wasps

Someone told me wasps are good for the environment so I didn't spray the wasp nests this year. Owl are wonderful for controlling rodents. I would build bat houses outside just in case they are rabid. And I have a ton of teddy bears and books and I like to have friends over with their mastiffs. Small is not in my vocabulary-lol

I Love the simplicity of her life but I could NEVER live w/o my shower and I need room!! I need to be able to spread out...I guess it would work for someone who lives alone...I also like My Trees..My Garden...MY World within my World...

I saw this on a program, I live in a cabin, one bedroom, the living room, kitchen is one room, one bathroom. My whole house could probably fit in the living room of most houses but we love it. In the mountains, quiet, off grid and cozy!

I think the concept is cool as long as you aren't into big dogs, parrots, multiple cats and a xmas tree.
