This thread is dedicated to the songs and inspirations that come from nature - from the elementals, the fey, the tree spirits, the birds and the animals. Each has their own 'song', given as a gift, to honour our connection with them - it is healing in it's purest form.
It is also a place to share our experiences of these connections....
This is a very simple chant that calls on the four elements - earth, water, air and fire. I sing this chant at a slower, rythmical pace during times of stress, when one can become fragmented and unfocused. It is asking the universe to return your energy to you and invokes the powers of nature to bring back invigorate your essence.
I begin singing it gently, building up and up, becoming fuller and gathering momentum until the point at which I feel it filling my body and connecting me with the Universe. I will hold this feeling for a while, continuing with the chant. I feel when it is time to stop as soon as I feel 'full'. It is a feeling of pure energy filling up the physical body.
This version of the chant was recorded at the Chalice Well Gardens, Glastonbury, England; a very sacred place filled with elemental energies and peaceful places amongst the trees and flowers - it is incredibly beautiful. There is a sacred well in the gardens, which holds spring water, coming from a source beneath the Tor and is rich in minerals and iron. It has very potent healing properties and is believed to have filled the cup of the Holy Grail...
This is a beautiful piece - I felt it should go in this thread because of the elemental link to water....

Kate Bush's 'Aerial' album is so beautiful & is inspired by birdsong, sunsets and seas. The 'islands' on her album cover are actually the soundwaves of a blackbird's song x
how inchanting. I will listen as long as you keep the music coming. It gives me a warm feeling of inter peace.
i am not really sure if i am spelling this right, have you ever heard of ambion music.? Or maybe it is called ambiont. I also love celtic music that sounds inchanting. Real Indian chanting music. The ambion music is like the music played on the movie Narnia. can you also tell me if I am spelling or saying it right? I would love to hear that kind of music, too. Music from around the world. Relaxing or in ahh. Thanks
Thanks Pamela - 'ambient' music is wonderful and so called because it creates an 'ambience'; it is very atmospheric and creates in the listener's mind, a soothing feeling. I get alot of visuals when I listen to this type of music as it enables the mind to float and I find it helps me to stop the everyday 'chatter' in my head.
I'll start a thread just for ambient music... ![]()
I am glad you spelled that for me right. That is why I like the music. It puts my mind at peace when I really need it. I listen all the time. Thanks so much.
You're welcome - you're right too that ambient music is used for films alot; ambient music like ambient lighting is very subtle, yet it adds depth, warmth and atmosphere; it creates a good mood and acts on our more subtle senses.
This is a fascinating article about a species of tree frog in China - research has found that they sing in 'ultrasonic duets'

Hello Earth by Kate Bush...this is such a moving and beautiful song, I wanted to share it. I've put it in this thread as the video includes images of animals and nature, and of course Kate.
It feels to me like an homage to the Goddess x
