Supporting your local Brewery
What's your favorite local brewery? Do you visit there often? Tell us about the beer, the brewery & any other fun details...
I'll start. I regularly support two very local breweries:
Devil's Canyon Brewing Company
Steelhead Brewery
Devil's Canyon (aka DCBC) is a small brewery located in Belmont, CA. I know a lot of the staff who are all really great people. It's not a brewpub but they do open their doors on the last friday of the month for a "Beer Friday" celebration. The event features well priced pints (only $3 each), BBQ, and live music. My favorite beer of theirs is the Full Boar Scotch Ale.
Steelhead in Burlingame is definitely another favorite. The food here is great. Especially the cheese fries which are a major weakness of mine. Mmmm, melted cheddar cheese over perfect sized fries. I love them. The beer is excellent as well. My favorites here are the Raging Rhino Red and Bombay Bomber IPA. I like them both so much I often combine the two, in what they call an A-bomb.
