anonymous If we don't make this happen, who will? May 27, 2007 7:03 PM

Hope is as powerful as Fear.

When you refer to "We the People", that is us. Do not underestimate your power or mine, or our responsibility to do what we are complaining is not being done.

The time has come to stop wondering when people will wake up, and wake them up. Make sure sure they know we are awake too.

We will break the silence, and we will start now.

We need to discuss here what we will do to be heard, to build momentum, to unite and make sure everyone knows this is happening. We need to make sure people understand that to see this happen, we have to make it happen. The goal is to have every person, from every group working to take back our country to be a part of this.

Take the responsibilty of making this happen seriously, contribute to a united voice that can not be ignored. Organize and gather this voice and we will be heard.

Now, speak up, you can not be heard or counted if you are silent.

Minimum comment should be "Count me in".

My interpretation of "making this happen", is TAKING IMPEACHMENT OF BUSH AND CHENEY TO THE STREETS. Am I right?

Yes, exactly.

Getting organised and moving is the number one priority. A solid plan needs to be defined and executed.

We are going to get the message on the street and in everyones face by putting the message on the people. Media is in the hands of money, but we have a better platform with more exposure. It easy to get people involved in an event if it doesn't interrupt their plans.

We design the t-shirts and general messages, advertise them from every site that will advertise them in support of impeachment. Anyone that will help, and we will lobby some for help if we have to.

Getting the t-shirts printed should be very easy. If the product was already designed, advertised and in demand, it would be foolish not to make it.  The price should be set and written on the shirt like,  "Admit 1 8$".  All the shirts need to have the common theme of taking part in the  American Revolution of 2007.

The big holiday weekend of Patriotism we will have millions of people exposed to each other. We want everyone with a shirt or (hat?), wearing them on this day to express a united voice and message. Independence Day seems like a good day for the people to be united and speaking up. And all they have to do is put on the shirt and be seen, talking will probably be hard to avoid.

Here and now, we need people to take on diferent tasks. I'm sure we have plenty people who can put together whatever graphics we need, for shirts or advertising. We need to get the messages written and decided on. We need goal oriented impact, with clear messages and supporting information.  People can report our headline news, July 4th is only a symbolic declaration, "Breaking the Silence".

I forsee carrying extra shirts and hats in the car ("You like it? I have an extra in the car"), along with copies a petition, we will need to choose, or write one.

I think one of my favorites is "No Taxation Without Represention" in infant, toddler and maternity sizes. And of coarse, having all of them with the "American Revolution 2007",  "Admit One", "Breaking the Silence" and impeachment messages.  Also, I like the by line of "An American Production on the World Stage"

We can do this.

anonymous I am all for taking it to the streets. May 29, 2007 9:31 AM

I will contact my Veteran's groups and other groups in my community to get them on board.
It was only a matter of time before the people started getting to the point where writing letters would not be enough. I have quite a few connections, I just need to know more specifics to I can give some of these groups some time to get ready. Some of them are a bit older and will need some assistance.
In any case, this is a great start. I will contact other group members from other groups I am part of and get the word out. If people are truly serious about ending this reign of terror, then the time is now.

I read Cindy Sheehan's diary and I cannot help but wonder what she knows about the current peace movement that we don't.

I wonder if she would ever post the organizations that are NOT working for the greatest good and those who are.

Any strategy needs to begin with what she can offer us. It may help us focus and make better plans and alliances, avoiding the mistakes made that really we don't have time to learn the hard way.

Does anyone else agree ?

Excellent Daniel!

Right now we need some graphics, in a photo album for now, and shared on this group. My ability to do that is severly limited, as all we have to work with is paint. We need the American Revolution 2007 logo, Admit 1 8$, and Impeach message ideas.

Also, we need to work together to solidify a plan, with solid goals and delegated responsibilties. To that end, I am starting a sound off thread where people can list thier strengths, and brainstorm ideas.

Above all we must be focused. Time is of the essence.

the only thing left to do is what the Constitution empowers us to do,,Form a new government around the existing one and nullify the existing one  [ send green star]  [ accepted]

No, if we had the organizational power to form a new government and nullify the old one, Impeaching would be easy. Persuing a goal to overthrow the government would put me, and all of you in danger

Starting over takes far more work than getting control of this. We need to be focused on our goals.

Right now our goal is to unite every person wanting change, and get them counted. In the proscess of getting everyone involved we will build a communication network across the entire scope of people working towards this goal. When we have that, making an impact will be easy.

I'm researching t-shirt printing today. Right now, a page is loading. In my area, (population 2000), there is a democracy group of 142. Bulk discounts of shirts gets me 1 color print for 6$ each.  I want each of the 142 to put up 30$, to buy 5 shirts each and hand them out. Additional colors come with a 25$ set up charge. What can you do? Make it happen.

Without a united front we are powerless, this has been proven. Until we have solid orginization and a communication network we are in the same losing position that has us where we are.

Thank you for joining.

We need graphics, photoshoping t-shirt designs, flyers, adds, etc.

Taking this to the streets in a massive force is going to take a lot of foot work on the internet to get it rolling.

We need to be able to contact large groups, this isn't easy. They all have ten ways you can help them, but very little access to contact them, these barriers need torn down.

If we have to send moveon a thousand letters, that what we will do. Right now, all we need is a hotline to these groups. Just an E-mail address and assurance we will be listened to in the first letter.

We need to compile a list of every organization and site working for this goal. They all get their own traffic, we need to be able to speak to that traffic through those groups. We need contact and cooperation. And when necessary, possible, or preferably always, we need the bigger organizations writing letters to other organizations to get them in. This is how we are uniting everyone.

Momentum is a key in all of this, so we need to be moving fast.  A revolution has begun, and that is news, global news. As soon as we get the T-Shirt designs done, we need advertisments up across the internet. Instructions on how to get your local t-shirt company to print them, etc.

As soon as we can be seen sweeping the web with this movment, it's news. Making news is a tool used in propaganda, it's ours to use as well. First we want all the small sites talking about it, then we want it in the MSM, world wide.  We will write them thousands of letters to if we have to.

James, Fred has a point that needs to be fairly heard. There is not a single aspect of the existing government that is not thoroughly corrupt.

To be honest, we endanger ourselves at the very point where we say we do not support the current regime. We have all crossed that line long ago.

The Declaration Of Independence is quite clear. Knowing how deep the roots of the current government goes make the prospect of forming a new government much easier to contemplate. I am a great fan of Howard Zinn.

anonymous OK point taken, lets explore that option fairly. May 29, 2007 11:26 PM

Create a new thread, we'll call it "plan B", and consider a full blown revolution as an option.

My objection to plan Bis, it is not the system that is the problem, it is the population of that system. We do have a few new candidates for president that look promising. To try to create a new government is far more work, planning, organizing, and gaining support. Not to mention the actual take over. I know we can push the impeachment through, I'm not sure of overthrowing the current government.

I'm going to let you and Fred work out some details. Lets see what we can come up with, and see if it is an option we have. But make it a new thread.

I advise against discussing plan B here. It is NOT safe.

My forums were hacked on the weekend. So we must use discretion.
