like all I do is run around and get very

getting things together to go to my brother's

been having visual problems with my left eye and
really bad headaches. Then I will pick Rachel up,
come home for about 1 1/2 hours then take her to

Daria and Conni sure hope you two get well quickly. I had the flu bug over the weekend while the grand kids were here and I was sort of wiped out. I am dragging still a bit but have been forcing myself to get up and move. That included going out for some fresh air like you Daria and knowing you Conni you also. Kathyrn you keep your mind of things by working in the house. For me when the weather is agreeable I head outdoors everytime. Daria the little ones are so precious when they reach a milestone. Kathyrn pray that things will be okay for you and Dave. I had a hectic but smooth day today and am curled in a blanket now and sipping a hot cup of coffee. Good morning kathryn and Teresa. i don't know when I'll be back in care2. My mother in law from my 1st marriage and my daughters grama died. i got a phone call yesterday from my brother in law that she died in the hospital early Saturday morning. 5 minutes after midnight on Friday. She had cancer, she found this out 6 months ago and she lost her battle...it's been a hard one too. She was already at stage 3 when she found out..cancer of the lungs, liver, stomach and spread so fast. Not curable and she wasn't given more then the 6 months that she did live after finding this out. I've been making phone calls and emails to family out of state. Please let all know in the other groups we are in together. love and hugs, Judi

It got cold here last night.  Around the mid 40's for us.  That's cold. I attempted to turn the heat on to find it wouldn't come on. Hubby thinks when the technicians installed the new unit over the summer, they may not have turned the gas valve on. So, hubby's going to check it out today.

Hello dear friends.  It's Monday and I've been up since 5 something. Don't know why, but I just couldn't go back to sleep. So, I got up and started a pot of coffee and reading my Bible.  Then hubby got up because the light bothered him. Didn't mean to, but he's been a while now too.

Today, we have rain and the temps are dropping.  We're supposed to be in the mid 40's for tonight. That's quite cold for  us here in SE Texas.   BRRRRRR!!!! Pam, I'm so sorry to let you down dear friend.  I got into my housecleaning and didn't do anything else but chase the cats out of my way and did some serious cleaning.   My house really needed it.   I made a yellow cake from scratch and hubby & I grilled pork chops for dinner. I am sorry for my absence lately from Care2. I have been dealing with a lot of physical pain associated with my disabilities and have been resting on heat more than usual. I have also been off my pain medications for a while now and it is taking a toll on me. I should be able to resume meds and be here more often next week.

sunny and warm!! I still have lots to do
for the party. Oh, by the way, my ESP
must have been working...when I checked
the mail yesterday there was a letter from
my daughter telling me that I treated her bad,
just like I always do, because my brother is
invited to the party. (Chances are he won't even
come). Since I cause her so much stress she doesn't
want to see me or hear from me at this time!!! I
guess my kids are not going to grow up or remember
what this party is all about! My friend was supposed
to help me with setting things up and loading and
unloading but since the Ohio State game comes on
later than he thought so he probably can't get there
until 7 or after! I reallly don't know why I keep this

Hello to all! Wishing you a happy Friday the 13th!
It is another nice day! I need to run to the store to
 get some eggs so I can start baking cupcakes for
 Rachel's  Bday party tomorrow! The  party is outdoors
 and there are 2 shelters ...I am sure the kids will hang
 out in one while the adults will be in the other one..a
 little  further away from the music!! This will be the
 first get together since Rachel got out of the hospital.
Hopefully her father won't be a jerk. My daughter is
supposed to come and she and my son haven't spoken
 in about a year and a half. They better act right or I
 might have to put my foot down. My daughter doesn't
like my younger brother and my son is mad at my
 oldest brother and he is barely speaking to me since
 Rachel came back to my house..my family is so dysfunctional!
Get togethers usually mean lots of drama! This is a
 special time for Rachel and I won't let them ruin it

Hello friends. How is everyone this morning?  Mine was starting out well and now it looks to heading south just because of some issues with a client that is trying to give us a bad name with the Better Business Bureau.  I'm so frustrated right now, I could spit nails.  Then, the city has turned off the water to work on the main line. I'm unable to get the rest of my laundry done and get my floors clean. So, my morning isn't finishing out that well. 

Yesterday was a good day though. Applebee's offered free meals for Veterans in which we took advantage of.  We had a great time and enjoyed talking with a young man that had been discharged from the Navy 2 years ago. He had been stationed in Norfolk, Virginia. I was born & raised there and my dad still lives there.  I actually called my dad before we left to check on him and had a great conversation with him.  We came home afterwards and just took it easy.  So, with all that, I have a few more groups to check into now. Hi Kathryn, so sorry to hear that. I am so very glad your hubby is okay, thank God. How very frightening for you both. We all have to be careful of our surroundings and those around us when we are out and about. Times are rough and some people are desperate and some are just plain rabid in the head. Hello dear friends. I tried getting into the group this morning and it kept kicking me out of Care2, so I just plumb gave up. Uggg!!!! Well, we finished up a plumbing job we had started on Friday.  Hubby had gotten paid on Friday and then stopped to get a soda where he was robbed. He was attacked by 3 guys. He came out with a black eye, a busted lip and a very bruised arm.  He said he gave them a fight and jumped into the truck as quick as he could and flew home.  He called me on the way home, but I wasn't prepared to see what I did when he walked in.  He was quite shaken up.  He was able to open his eye completely on Sunday, praise God.  I'm glad he made it out alive.  It's no longer safe for anyone anywhere.  We were able to buy groceries and pay on a few bills. My internet looks to be cut off again next Thursday if we don't get more money into the cable company.  So, I'm praying for more work.  Well, that's what's been happening in our little spot of the world.  It's afternoon now and I'm going to try and get some laundry done.  back to my brother's for another month long job of
dog sitting & trucking! I will be there until late on

Hello everyone. Sorry I have not been in much. Lot's going on since yesterday. I did manage to go do a bit of shopping and when I got home I had a phone call my nephew's wife had been admitted to the hospital due to complications of H1N1. They have a soon to be year old baby girl. My mother visited with them last week and she woke up sick this morning. So far so good. Keep an eye on your young people as this flu is hitting them harder just like they said. Also the coyotes took a kitten last night and I was out trying to scare them off. Such a sad night for me. I have been in and out of the house all day checking on Mom and trying to shore up the bottom of the pole barn to keep out the coyotes. The other cats are now in the garage. They are all drop offs or babies and total 4 of various ages. The two oldest will let you pet them and the youngest I can still catch to pet. It appears to be around 6 weeks. The other is probably 4 months old but will not let me pet it. They all love to play with the rope though. Sending hugs to all of you and prayers.

As usual I did more running around than relaxing!
I did get some computer work done. Rachel will be
17 on the 11th and she really wants a special birthday
party. Usually her Dad waits until her birthday to
throw together a last minute get together with family
and she has always wanted a "real" birthday party and
invite friends so I am trying to work it out so she has
one. Her little sister always has a big party so I think
it is about time that Rachel gets one. That will keep me

Howdy friends!!!!! I stayed awake so late last night watching TV that I actually got to see the time change. LOL!!!!  I slept really well with the cooler weather we've been having.  Last night, I wrapped myself in my favorite blanket, grabbed a cup of coffee and just sat outside staring into the sky.  We had a full moon with lots of stars.  The temp was in the low 50's and it felt great.  We live on a dead end street, so no traffic either. 

Pam, I haven't even begun Christmas shopping either. I've always wanted to purchase gifts through out the year, but it just never happens. LOL!!!!!  Enjoy yourself though.  I'm thinking of checking out Overstock.com for some ideas.

Daria, I love the new calendars. I've already got mine on my desktop.  I get to check the date out as soon as I sit down to my computer.   Great job.

   Good morning ladies. Cloudy here too Pam, but not cold, 50F right now.The landlord is mowing the yard and has 5 big garbage containers to dump all the fallen leaves in. 2 rows and 2 containers full already. We have a big walnut tree in the front yard. You could rake for ever to get it done. He has fun on his riding lawn mower and is bagging them. Have a good day. I'm doing nothing...no grandkids today! Daria, has it dried out there yet? You had a lot of rain. Yesterday was nice and sunny here but today it not. Spitting rain and cloudy for the whole day. Tomorrow is another story 70! Halloween trick or treaters are going to have it rough, maybe snow! Good grief!

Hello friends.  Daria, Conni, Pam, & Judi, so great to have ya'll stop by.  It's slow here for work.  We were supposed to start a job today, but it looks like it won't happen until tomorrow. Even then, we're not sure if it will happen. I just keep praying that work will come through.  Bills still need to be paid plus groceries, etc... Just frustrated. Hey there everyone. Sorry I've been away for a bit.  Still having issues and work isn't coming through like we thought.  So, it's been a lot of time driving trying to meet with folks to get work.  I'm about ready to throw in the towel.

Hello everyone. I will be thinking of each of you today and wishing you all the best. I was so tired after a long day in the kitchen I just did not get back on the computer. I've just spent more then 30 minutes trying to get on Care2 this morning! I hope that does not mean it will be like this the whole day. It's raining this morning and today was suppose to be 70 degree's. I hope the rain stops so the yard can be mowed one last time this year. It sure needs it. There are more then 25 schools currently closed for the rest of the week around me because of the flu! The hospitals are standing room only in emergency! So far all the children in my family are not sick with it. They say it's not the H1N1 virus but another that is affecting the area. Love ya all heaps!

Well, we asked a friend of ours yesterday to pay our electric bill for us.  He was able to do so, but we owe this friend a lot of money.  We just hate knowing we owe "friends" money.  It's different if it's a creditor or something, but a friend.

this Monday..mine was very hectic. I will be done here
doing the trucking/dog thing this Saturday. I pick them
up at the airport late Saturday night then I am off to my house!!
I got to see Rachel briefly yesterday. She is getting stronger
and feeling a little better. She had a very bad reaction to a
new medicaton and they have put her on something new.

Hello dear friends!!!!!! Sorry I haven't made it in these past several days. It's been crazy on this end.  Conni, I'm praying for Rachel.  I'm really concerned for both of you.

Pam & Daria, so awesome to have ya'll stop by.   It's been rather chilly here these past 2 mornings. It's gotten into the high 40's for night time and it gets into the low 70's during the day.  It's great sleeping weather.  

Well, the contract job fell through for us.  The contractor is giving us the run around.  So, we're back to square 1 again with no money and no work.  We've done little jobs that has given us some groceries, but not enough to cover our light bill which is due tomorrow. If not, they'll be out on Tuesday to cut it off. So, I'm stressing quite a bit.  Please pray that God will send us work.  Thank ya'll so much.  I pray everyone has a truly blessed Sunday. Hello Everyone! I hope you are doing well! It is cold again
today. I am very tired and drained...without going into a
long story, Rachel was taken to the ER last night and sent
by squad to a hospital 60 miles away! She is holding her
own. I really haven't had any sleep and I am an emotional
