The Revolution Is Coming Whether We Want It Or Not July 05, 2007 8:06 AM

It's already on it's way, inevitable.

The only thing we can do is try and make it a successful and productive Revolution by using our brains, not brawn.

Yes July 05, 2007 8:24 AM

It certainly does seem inevitable in views of the turn of the country  we live in having Gouged and continuing to Gauge the poor people who are already over taxed and pushed to the limit.I for one do remember when Gasoline was .27 cents a gallon and saw the prices go up in a sneaky fashion so that we would sit still and figure it would be temporary  and say nothing! Its very sad when the prices of gas as a very obvious problem is getting to the point where a poor working person cannot afford to put gas in his vehicle to go to work because it cost more for gas then he makes in a week because the jobs pay minimum wages and they give them 30 hours or so a week TRY and support a family on that kind of money. And even sadder is when the working family goes to buy groceries and approach the checkout with a few meager items, while an Alien produces a full pushcart with prime foods and whips out the foodstamp card to pay for it out our money, I believe in sharing wealth, but i dont believe in our government stealing the money from me to support illegal Aliens while my family has to do without.I hate to see these terrible things happening to the country I love and fought to defend and would continue to do so, These ar a few reasons i feel there will be some sort of revolution Sadly.  [ send green star]

I fear that the legal system has become so irreversibly corrupted in the U.S.that increased violence and chaos are almost inevitable, and that drastic political changes will follow, but that is a different thing than revolution.

The Bushes and the Cheneys and the Kerrys and the Clintons can hide in their fortified compounds and eat caviar while blood flows in the streets.

The American way of government, as laid out in the Constitution, was destroyed by people giving up rights and freedoms in exchange for promises of material security and safety.  [ send green star]

Right, Sherrie,

Survival demands that we use stealth and serious preplanning, not indiscriminate brute force.   If you're dead on the first engagement, you're not much use to  anyone.

I had a sort of first engagement this morning:   A rep for Barak Obama called, naturally begging for money and telling me about how he's "different".   Yeah, right.  Instead, this guy got a load of what the American people really want:   Our government run under the Constitution, and not the crap that goes on in Washington now.  We need to get back to basic principles that work:  non-intervention in foreign countries;  back to the gold standard;  and that the congress get rid of the Federal Reserve which is a private outfit that is bleeding us to death.   That's illegal according to the Constitution;  Congress is supposed to be in control of the minting of the money; no one else.   I also told him that "Yeah, we've heard all the promises before, and then they all go to Washington and continue with the same crap as everyone else, ignoring the wishes of the American People.  I told him that we are totally fed up and that if things don't change there will be a revolution.   People are going to show up in Washington and throw the entire bunch of you out.  We're sick of it!  He didn't seem to take this threat seriously.
I told him I'd already decided who I'll vote for, and that's the man who clearly wants to return to Constitutional rule of law -- Ron Paul.  They guy kind of laughed at that and didn't consider Ron Paul as any kind of competition or viable in any way.  Well, that's what the write-in space is for on the ballot.   Then he said a childish, demeaning thing:  "Well, if you contribute to Obama, we won't tell Ron Paul."   Holy crap! Does he think I'm a 7-year old?    Another guy in the system who has been infected with the idea that we should be treated like little children who are brain-less, impotent, and likely retarded.
I unloaded on the guy.  He finally realized that he'd hit some angry opposition and finally gave up.  But, he got the message that the American people are at the edge.
I don't think the people in Washington are in any way in contact with the enraged population and don't think anything will happen except business as usual.  They don't sense that the pot is about to boil over.
I read yesterday where "Homeland Security" thinks that Al-Qaida (Al-CIA-da) is going to hit major US cities like Washington, New York, La, etc. with nukes,  When I told my 89 year old mother, she responded by saying:  "I hope they get Washington first."   Her response is pretty indicative of where most Americans are at this point.
You can cry wolf only so many time before people realize that there is no wolf (except the crier) and stop listening.  The realization strikes them that they are being played for suckers.
Have you read the foreclosure rates lately?  This is Bushes "ownership" society in action.  The foreclosure rates in Lansing and Detroit are in the thousands and thousands.  The bankers are practically trying to give this property away.  $10,000 bucks for a $250,000 house.  The first time I saw this in a Detroit publication, I asked the guy sitting next to me if this was a mis-print.  He said, no, it's like that all over Detroit.  Thousands of foreclosures.   Nobody has the money (or jobs) to buy them.  They just sit there.
These people who are victims of foreclosure are likely former auto-workers whose jobs have been out-sourced to other countries, and very likely are not very happy with their government for allowing this to happen in America.  Instead of assisting and protecting their citizens, they, our government,  are devastating the middle-class, massively.  These workers are  a pissed-off army in formation.  In Michigan, they are trying to retrain these people for "high-tech" jobs (which are also going to be out-sourced ).  BTW, the legislators in Lansing are scramling to fix the budget deficit.  When people no longer have jobs, the taxes don't roll in any more.
And, what do you think the chances are that the corporate-run government is going to do anything to reverse this hemorrage?
Time for some kind of revolution!

Just some thoughts.   [ send green star]

A penny for all your thoughts July 05, 2007 11:01 AM

No, a whole C-Note for some of these!

As far as Politicians running for office, it's just a JOB. They are raising money to pay themselves to go through the motions. That's why they don't give a flying F*ck who you contribute to for political reasons, they just want it to be their candidate to pay their campaign workers (a few of them are deluded volunteers) and the candidate his/her salary.

That's why you don't see defeated candidates wringing their hands after the election. They were paid to do a job. Nothing more, nothing less. Then they'll go on to run another race another day. It's a JOB.

and don't forget how it is the tax payers money who pay for their "Public Servants", among with our police, peace officers, whatever you wanna call 'em

The gov. won't stop until the poor are poorer and the elite is richer... then who do you think will be the "revenue" or the "cash cows" for all those evil folks with so much greed?

Whoever doesn't think that what "they" are doing to Iran, etc could NOT happen here, is seriously mistaken... I've researched a lot & trust me, "they" already have used citizens of the U.S. as guinea pigs with and WITHOUT their knowledge and/or consent.

Unfortunately, there are many ways that "they" can turn us into "sheep being lead to slaughter"....  so thank God more & more are becoming aware, less in denial, I'm grateful for many things, one of which is my right's to freedom & liberty.
