Neat! April 18, 2005 7:43 PM

Oooh, I hadn't seen that one, yet. That's fun! There's a fair number of rat lovers in the UK, I think.  [ send green star]

That's great! There are quite a few ratty-lovers here in Denmark to, but there are lots of people who find rats disgusting, which is their loss. It's only because they don't know anything about these adorable small creatures, and think they are filthy, but I have never had a pet before in my life that was so clean, and easy to keep clean!

Gwendolyn and Bibernelle quickly found out where they wanted their toilet, after we got them home. I bought a plastic corner-toilet for them, and just put down some toilet paper ( best quality, hehe and they "puddle" on that. All I have to do is remove the t'paper twice a day, and of course wash the toilet, and they don't even smell the least bit. They have a corner in their down-stairs room where they do their other business, and that's easy to keep clean also.

Lots of people hate a rats' tail, because it has no hairs ( which it does! and very coarse ones at that, hehe!) . I think it's fascinating how a ratty uses its tail to balance, and my Gweny also uses hers to hang on with, if she feels she's slipping. F.ex. if she's on my shoulder and moving around, sometimes she wraps her tail over my face and around my nose, tightens it up, and I can feel she's hanging on. It's a pity there is so much ignorance concerning rats, as they are the most loving and inter-active pets you can have.

Hmm April 22, 2005 12:41 PM

Yep, some people here in England like rats too, though others are as judjemental as anywhere else.

My little ratties like crrrrumpets and a spot of english tee. Actually I don't think they've ever tried tea. They like crumpets though!

Well, gtg, I need to play some croquet with my squidgies.
