My silly rat September 17, 2004 3:25 PM

My oldest female rat, Mogwai, HATES our new girls. Seriously, she can't stand them. The new girls have just been moved to a new, big cage, and I had their old cage sitting on the floor to be cleaned. Mogwai was out for her daily walk around the apartment, but instead of making her usual rounds she went straight fot the old cage, ate all the food in there and promptly fell asleep in one of their beds. We're calling her Goldilocks now.  [ send green star]  [ accepted]
What a stinker! September 17, 2004 6:58 PM

She's what I'd call an opportunist! Sounds like she wants to make sure the new kids on the block know who's in charge! How funny!  [ send green star]

How does your rat do her walk? Does she have a sort of routine?  [ send green star]

She kinda has a routine. Usually it starts with saying hello to me on the couch, then checking out the area around the table and couch, then running down the hallway to see if my husband has his office door open and saying hi to him. Then it's just random from that point on. She does often take naps in random places, but this was very deliberate.  [ send green star]  [ accepted]

Aww. See, the problem is I can't let my rats run around because my family object to it. So I do it anyway, but not often.  [ send green star]
