Hi, friends! sorry i wasn't around for say, weeks? we were hit by bad storms and unfortunately i am one of the victim. Twas a bad storms that hit the country that washed our homes and things...but fortunate too that me and my family are fine after the storms...that explains my absence...don't worry we're coping and those things that washed out could be replace in time...what important most is the safety of my family.

Che, I hope you are OK and the storm moves on without damaging things too much in your area.  Brenda, I hope things work out with your daughter.  Spent the weekend with my sister and her hubby, they have sold their house and are looking for a new one.  I went with them to check a few places out, but they are sooo!!! over looking. 

The weather here is all over the place, cold, wet and windy these last couple of days, back into winter clothes.  Have one boy sick at home with asthma, but he is on the improve, thank goodness.

Got the day off and can't decide what to do.. maybe I'll measure my kitchen and go see how much it would cost to replace the counter tops and the entire counters....or maybe, measure my windows and see how much it would cost to buy new shades for my living room windows, or I could just do NOTHING AT ALL, that sounds pretty good too

I miss you guys. I have been a victim of heavy flooding in Manila, Philippines and too busy for clean up, and need to throw things that had been damaged by the storms and try to save things that can be save, too. so, sorry for my absence here.

Anyway, another storm is in the country and i hope it weakens and leave the country soon.

Hello Monalisa, Jean, Brenda, Sharon, Judy and Pavel,  Hope you are all well.  Hubby and the boys got back from their camp, they had such a good time.  Both boys were absolutely exhausted as they did a lot of bushwalking, but they learnt a lot of good skills to have in the bush.  It's nice when they get a high from being physically active, they now want to keep active, thank goodness as they were becoming a little too lazy.

The weather hereis warming up nicely, lovely sunny days.  I love spring!!! when it's not too hot.  Hope you all have a lovely week, as I'm off to work tomorrow.

Good Sunday morning everyone, Sharon, Pavel, Beatrix, Brenda, Mona, and those whose names have already slipped my mind :

Sunday is here, and it's cold this am, you are right, Mona, your weather is way too soon, so I can only guess what Maryland is like (my older sister lives there), the weather here turned cold after a rain shower moved through, got the heater on to warm the house some. This am it's 44 according to the airport, the low last night was 35, bought in two potted plants to be on the safe side...the elephant ears aren't quite dropping yet, some are but not all, so sometime in the coming weeks, I'm sure they'll show the changes and I'll be out cutting down their stalks and the canna lillies too...got some bulbs planted though, and hopefully they'll be ok...one of them I  think is already putting up a plant (cross my fingers on that one)...

I'm still in my jammies, drinking a cuppa coffee, and sitting back and relaxing, been lack a dazy with getting on line, life is just too busy sometimes, so HELLLLLLOOOOOOOO to everyone.

past  week  was  nutzs  around  here     got  a  car  up  running  and  on the  rd    and  ever  since  b een  doing  nothing  but  running  to  schools    dr  and  hospitals  first  with  my  daughter  they  though  she  had  swine  flu  and  i  was  worrid  sick  til we  got the  results thank  god  (neg)  then  granddaughters  school  calls  me   she  had   something  in  ear  i  take  her  to  Er  and   they  couldnt  get  it  out  called  in  a  specilest  and  sure  as  s hit   we had   to  have  surgery  on  her  it was  a  damn  halloween  erases      ,,  told  her  next time    that  happens  only  thing  they a re  gonna be   puling ot  is my  foot  outta  her  butt...so  we been  really  keeping  a  eye on  that  one,,,,,,,(((this  isnt  the  first  time)))  shes  got  a  things  for  sticking things   where  they  dont  belong,,,,  suspose  in the  yrs  to  come  it  will be      a    memor  for  lafter  but   right  now  oh  i  could    just  smack  her  butt,,,,,

winter  is  showing  now  and  i  havent  gotten all  coverd  and  done  it   come  to    quick  on  us  we ahd   out  first  snow  fall  yesterday  and   down  it  come     guick  ...  now  monday  its  to  be  nice  again  so hopefully  that will  be  our  indian  summer  and  i  can  get t he   rest    of  my  yard  packed  up  and  stored away   onece  again..

Hi Monalisa, your winter seems to have just gone and now it's back!!!  What a short summer you have.  The weather here is really starting to warm up and we have daylight saving now, so it's still light when I get home from work which is lovely.

Jean, my boys are 16 they are doing their school certificate this year, this is the last year they are having this exam as most people now stay on until they are 18.  They do their Higher school certificate, which is really important, in 2 years time and then they will graduate. Hubby has taken the boys camping for 3 days so it is very quiet here at the moment.  I can now listen to my music and watch my girlie movies, which is hard to do when you are outnumbered by males.  I enjoy watching nice romances, but never get a chance until now yipee!!!

Hope you all have a lovely weekend.  Hi Monalisa, My foot is getting better, did my first drive in our manual car yesterday, (only for 5 minutes,) but it's better than nothing.  It means I can now go to the bookstore, my favourite hangout and have some independence!!!  My boys are now on their 2 week spring break, and after that, they have their school certificate exam.  You wouldn't know it as they are not really studying that much.  Hubby is also on holidays as week. I won't be having my holidays until the long break in January when we are going away. 

The weather this weekend so far has been wet and cold, but no complaints from me as we desperately need the rain.  Brenda, I hope you see a doctor soon about  your  chest pain, don't leave it.  Jean, hope you are going well, hope you have a happy birthday.

evening  folks  yes  iam  alive....been  so  darn  busy  i  cant  keep up  and  with the  kids  and  activites  to keep then  occupied  i have  no  damned time  for  me,,,,,  my  litle   guy  is  a  tad  under t he weather,and a s  MO  stated  was  outta  town to  get  the    girl  her  dental  work  poor  thing  a  rootcanal  at  age 8  2  caps  and  one  feeling......she  did  great tho  a  litle trouble  to  awkae  after  surgery  but shes  doing  well..

i  to need  to  get  into  the  docs  ihave  benn  having  chest  pains    that  come and    go....  and  stress  level has  to  be  way  over the  moon...  dealing with  everything  isnt  easy

i  bit  more  then i  could shew  ya  could  say  but  ..mind  set  not  to  give  up...cant  i  love  far to much

while  with  mona  we    stopped  to g et  sam a  drink  as  we  weere  pulling  back  otu a  man  was  wlaking  with   his  lunch  i  rooled  the  window    down a nd  said   give me  a  bit i  wont  run ya  over  i  thought  for  sure   mona  was   gonna    pee  her  pants.......hahah

Hi There Happy Tuesday everyone....

My My,winter is on its way and in a quick manner.....Was out at 7 am this morning and it was dark very cold and windy with that chilly feeling as if it was gonna snow......YIKES! I am not ready for winter by far and so much still needs done!This is where i wish i didnt live alone and a partner surely would come in hand.....But i shall get it done one way or another...

Today me and brenda are off to State College <<<Main PennState Campus is there here in Pa.But it will be fun spending a lil quality time together!We do have a blast laffing,talkin bout men and all the fun things us woman talk about......The stories,oh my we have a good many of them and some are worth talkin about a hundred times and still laff as hard as the first time we laff<<<<lil puter short hand there with the laugh...

good morning everyone...Sunday is simply starting out splendidly....rained last night and not sure when it stopped, so I layed in bed listening to the pitter patter on the roof, slept like a baby. My dishwasher will be put in very soon I hope. I bought myself a new lawnmower yesterday...can't cut my grass for another week, so my grass will go crazy for that time and keep growing, especially with the rain.

My boys are spending the weekend studying with a friend ( well, that is what they tell me they are doing) as they have their school certificate exams in about 5 weeks time.  This is a major exam for year 10 here.  It has been a very!! windy weekend, hard to go outside as it's not enjoyable, but nice sitting in our sunroom looking out to the garden.  Hope you all have a very good week.

birds are singing, and the morning looks fine...Sharon, wonderful news and a big congratulations to your daughter in law and son...TWINS--double the gifts and double the fun of watching them grow up...When do the doctors think they'll arrive, and are they the first babies for your son and daughter in law?...Hi Mona, thank you, you are so sweet...I try to stay close to my family, my oldest sister lives in Md. so I don't see her very often. I'm still waiting on my bulbs to arrive so I can plant them, and I too, will try and protect the cactus in my yard and other plants from the cold when winter finally arrives. North Ga has gotten tons of rain, flooding etc, and my prayers are with all those involved. I'm still trying to get my kitchen looked at to install my new dishwasher which has been sitting in the box for what seems ages now, got a contractor coming to look over the kitchen this evening, and hopefully, get something started in the near future... another problem popped up yesterday, after having trimmed my bushes and had the hopes of mulching leftovers in cutting the grass which is growing like crazy, the lawnmover died again...need to buy a new one since the push lawnmower I bought is too hard to push through the thick grass...

Just puttin clothes away isnt the ordeal here!I have a huge yard with many things that needs to be stored till next year!Gardening things chairs tables layin and choppin the garden down so i can rototiller it into the ground it makes the soil richer for the next year...tending to alll my flowers digging out what wont come up next year and preparing  perennials for the cold weather so the roots wont freeze!And tarpin all that needs tarped and the biggest job is emptying my pool ......clothes i dont really store the seasons clothes and pull the next out.Everything is in drawers and closests i get to em as i need em,LOL!But often clean my closests and rearange as needed.Just did that the other day!And boy the stufff ya collect and stuff away!And not use it .It just stays where ya put it!threw out alot!We get serious winters here so alot needs done and prepared next is doin my windows  to help save on the heat bill.But will get to that towards the end of october!So i have been one busy lady.....And i have a romance starting well we have been friends for a long time goin on a year and feelings are opening up,so been spending quality time in that part of my life...How is work goin hon and how is your family Jean?One can tell in what u say and the pictures that you have a very close family!Wish my was that close....I am closest to my dad and of course sweet Brenda!Most our very distant and not by miles .....Loves ya Jean!

  Happy Happy News today. I went with my Daughter in Law Jennifer today to her first ultrasound and she is having TWINS.  It was so special to be there and see the beauties.  We will know in a few weeks the sex of the babies but they are strong and healthy. Good heartbeat and moving all around.  I am so excited.

I am going to Toronto Wednesday for my appointment at the Sunnybrook Hospital to see about the tumor in my ear so I hope I get more good news.

Hope you are all having a nice weekend.  The weather here is certainly warming up.  Very hot for spring.  Having a nice and quiet weekend for a change.  Boys had friends over most of last weekend and it was very hectic and tiring (for us parents).

Able to do more around the house now ( I never thought I'd say  that I am actually enjoying it) which is great.  Am so looking forward to being able to drive again, it's not nice being so dependent on other people.

Spent some time in the garden today, which I thoroughly enjoyed.

my sleepless nights was over...you know that i have been watching tennis (since it opened last Aug. 31 and ended Sept. 14)...everynight up to the wee hours of the morning...only to be a little bit sad about Federer's lost to Del Potro...but he is right when he said..."he tried and he can't have them all..." He played well but lost to Martin...

  Hi all. Jean, my daughter works in a hospital and said the same thing. I watch my grandaughter Jaylynn when Trisha works days. She said she was ready for a nap when she came to pick up Jaylynn this afternoon! It's really warm, 84F and the 5th day in a row.
