Makes one feel worse? May 05, 2004 7:37 PM

Hi All, I have just joined this group. Even with so few members, it looks like the variety of experience and interests could really make it interesting. Background: Last November, I got my Reiki 1 & 2 certificates. I still have limited experience, mostly hands on for friends with general tiredness and/or stiff shoulders. I sent distance reiki to my friend in WA - she reported feeling very rested and energetic the next morning after only 4 hours of sleep (was going thru a hard time) Question: last week I sent distance reiki to an email friend's 12 year old daughter who is experiencing complications from emergency surgery. After the first time sending, the girl reported having a very bad headache for a while and then feeling very good. After the second time, she woke up feeling like someone had beat her up. After a few hours, she felt "fine" - just fine, not great, not better, etc. Have any of you had this experience on those you have worked with? Do you know of why this might have happened? My first thought was "healing reaction" but since she didn't feel any better after the second time, I am not sure. Any thoughts or comments or ideas? Thanks - Amy  [ send green star]  [ accepted]
Healings and Headaches May 19, 2004 1:44 PM

Dear Amy K., There are several common reasons for 'healee headaches'. Here's the list: •The healer didn't clean their energy field before giving the healing. A healer needs to get into a clear, grounded, meditative state before connecting with another and sending healing energy. Grounding, meditating and enlivening one's own spirit/field for at least 15-30 minutes before giving a healing is a goodly amount of time to prepare. •The healer didn't invoke spirit to do the healing, but used their own personal, bodily healing energy. One's own energy isn't high enough to empower another's field and can so cause a headache. We all need to invoke spirit before giving a healing - spirit has a least a thousand names. pick one that feels right for you. •The healer didn't ask permission to give the healing to the other person. If an individual's 'spirit' doesn't want a healing from another, and fights it off, a headache will often occur. We need to ask 'spirit to spirit' permission to give another person something so personal as an energy healing. How would you like it if your mom gave you a healing, when you didn't want one? Best Wishes.  [ send green star]
I have a thought... May 20, 2004 8:48 AM

I have not taken classes, I don't have certifications or "techniques", I am just a Witch with a gift. I usually either "suck" the problem out of the patient or I "blast" it out if that makes any sense. Usually this creates a "void" or "hole" in the spot the problem was. If that hole is not properly filled or replaced, then that too can cause problems. I usually fill it back up with the appropriate collored energy. Most of the time, that's blue energy, but ther ehave been times when I have used white, or a different color.  [ send green star]  [ accepted]
Blast or Suck Illness Removal With Color Healing Finnish May 20, 2004 9:31 AM

Dear Crystal K., Sounds like you have a healing technique that works for you. Well done! I've named your technique the Blast or Suck Illness Removal Technique, with a Color Healing Finnish. If your technique works flawlessly for you, that's fine. If you have experienced after effects from your work, I would recommend that you employ some self-healing practices to help you. The first tool would be to ground well before doing your work and to clean-out well after doing your work. If you have any post healing symptomes, please let me know. Perhaps I can be of assistance? With Many Blessings, Ron L.  [ send green star]

Thanks Ron and Crystal for your thoughts. Everything made sense. In Reiki, we are taught to invoke a healing spirit, to thank those who make the healing possible and who have made the energy known to us, and to ask the "healee" for permission to heal them. I did all these things but doubt I cleared my own energy field enough or spent enough time on these things before sending the reiki. An update: it seems the reactions were more healing than I had thought. The "healee" has felt great since those initial setbacks. No more headaches at all. So, I feel happy that I might have helped and that I am still learning . . . Crystal - how do you know which color to use? Does it just present itself? Is your healing hands on or distance or both? Can I ask how you prepare to give or channel healing? Ron - I know I have heard of One Light Healing Touch (Therapy?) before. In a positive light, of course. I am doing a course in natural health and I believe that other members of the course have recommended your program. (Just FYI.) Thanks again for your help, both of you - Amy  [ send green star]  [ accepted]
