Matthew Shepard Act and what won't change
Am I Suprised ?

At the age of 45, under the umbrella of change and hope, we may all be able to agree that "hate is here to stay". Especially when we have elected a man into office (which is why my votes went for the woman) who seems to be caught up into the web of D.C. politics instead of change. Say what you will about Michael Moore, but I agreed with his statement on Joy Behars` Show. "You can`t start with a compromise. You need to start with what you expect, then in the process, you begin to compromise".
This is our folly folks. This is no less insulting than "Don`t ask, Don`t tell". Regardless of Pulitzer Prize worthy words it doesn`t seem like we`re going to get any further with this Presidential Administration. Looking at the slew of Republicans who outnumbered Democrats in races that included Country Treasurer, and Mayor and all the way to Governor - the Republican Party came out some 37% of Democrats. And many reporters stated their was a correlation between the Nations` frustration with the Democratic lead in place. Although I am FAY TO THE LEFT of being a Democrat, I think people bought the motion that CHANGE would happen fast. And as a Nation, one thing possibly shared, there seems to be less patience for making a wrong right then there is for one wrong after another. As we experienced for eight years. With the Bush Administration.
My heart is with Judy Shepard. Who would be compassionate ("enough") to understand the passion of her fight for this bill? Obviously not enough Democrats or the current President of the United States.
