That means he needs to replace some of the people who have shown they put Wall Street over main street. And he needs to be a man and take charge of the congress, because they can't do it without him.
Some on the far left and far right will say that there are not many differences between the Democrats and Republicans. During the election, those people voted for Nader, McKinney and Barr. There are a whole lot more of those people now. The latest polls show that there are more independents than Democrats and less than 20% who identify themselves as Republicans. Obama cold win a lot of those people back."
And that is what we need: The Audacity to Govern!
"And he needs to be a man".............comes off as sexist. I bring this up with respect. Because it also rolls into only a man being capable for the job. My vote was for Hillary Clinton. Who I still believe would have accomplished a bit more in her very savy way.
I registered from an Independent back to a Democrat this past Presidential election. And, to show my dissatisfaction to date, I re-registered as an Independent again for local elections this year. Call me crazy, but I liked the ideal raised by Bill Mahar (and many before him) which was that we should go without a political party and vote for who you want. My concern on that ideal is that we then wouldn`t be able to pin someone like Rush Limbaugh as Republican. Who is a "right wing", main stream extremist who hates gays and lesbians. It seems safe to say that the majority of Republicans are not interested in the advancement of the Quality of life much needed for American Gays and Lesbians. And I don`t think it`s because of their politics solely. Their Gods seem to get in the way of their sound decisions. I THINK.
I want to send a big Thanks to Diane and Joy for providing so much information on what`s new in the news for us as well as the links to access the information ourselves. it`s very time consuming for them. And I appreciate the efforts. As well as the opportunity to share my thoughts.
