This judge refused to perform a civil wedding because the bride was white and the groom was black.  The couple went to court over the matter.  Thankfully the judge just quit his post.  He gave no reason for quitting, but obviously he got the message.  To me, race is no different from any other physical trait- just a cluster of genes favoring different colors of eyes, hair, etc.  If one of my kids wanted to marry someone of a different race, I wouldn't even bat an eye.  My oldest son, in fact, is married to a Latina woman.  I know they will have beautiful kids.
