I am STILL tying to build my bill board, images disappear, reappear, the page disappears and i cannot complete the darn thing its mostly graphics. Hi Louise F!  Welcome to our group, and thank you for posting.  I am trying to grasp just exactly how we may help you.  Are you trying to place graphics on your Home Page under the Bill Board section?

If that is the case, then I believe I might can help you there.  Just let me know if this is what your question is in regard to and if not, then just repost it for clarification and I will get back to you with an answer, ok?

Im having a problem the last couple of months that involves emails and graphics I try to save......

I get many tags and animated graphics sent to me in my email..Lately when i go to save them they save as bitmap...many are animated and The files are gifs..Sometimes I can hit reply and they show and then they will save as gif..But most often all I get is x..Is it yahoo..It also happens on on hotmail ..Is there something I can  do to fix it..Or is it the changes that have been made in yahoo and hotmails emails...Thank you for any input...... hugzz...jaz

Hi, Jazmin..

seems that you have a preferences issue. In the Options of your browser, try to go to the part, where you have 'handling file types' and you'll see that you can select applications for certain aspects(*like mov or jpg, etc)..now..here's the rub...got to go to that app, and set the save as or open as settings, so that it selects jpg, etc. Bmp is the former word processing version, so you may wish to bone up on your app, and hope that it opens well. Had a similar issue with pdf docs attempting to open in word for windows...had to uninstall adobe completely, and install new version..and you thought all the pc s/w guys played nice, eh?

I HAVE A QUESTION.  WHEN I TRY TO DOWNLOAD THINGS (EXCEPT PICTURES) FROM THE YAHOO EMAIL AND OPEN THINGS UP THE WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER COMES UP AND SAYS IT CANT OPEN THE ATTACHEMENT BECAUSE IT IS UN-RECOGNIZED?? Sure...each browser, has a special area where the 'handling files' are done. Since you may be using IE or Firefox, it's usually in Internet Options, under Advanced. Send me a note, and perhaps we can assist. What your browser is doing is attempting to open an attachment with a media player, and even Mr. Gates hasn't figured out how that works, yet, either.  [report anonymous abuse]  [ accepted]

Thanks for writing........................yep built my billboard here again and it went down again, no use asking Care 2. They keep sending in their fly in pages and I loose my work, Since I am artsy and not a manic activist i may soon leave this site I am so disgusted with C2 lack of help. I am stopping my clicks and petitions until I get a response from what is supposed to be a caring site. I have wasted 100's of hour.............. here I feel most despondent. Well touch wood all seems to be going fine, C2 have not sent their darn fly in pages causing me to loosed work. I made sure everything was as updated as possible including my brain, that ones questionable, Lets see if it still stays as I still have a few tweaks to make, I started out all political and that has gone astray to the all artsy lol. One thing I have learned is I am really interested in learning graphics on pc, I am an arts student so design was my primary interest here which i do not have he knowledge to execute yet. it primarily a collage of c and p ing and my rt work is very organic, ( fibre , pottery and 3 D stuff ) as well as my arts degree and floral training. I am not holding my luck out as I am so untecky, I have been persistent in this cos I made it artsy otherwise I would have dumped it.  [report anonymous abuse]  [ accepted]

I am assuming you are referring to the billboard on your profile page? That's an 'edit' function, which is a little tiny button, on the upper right of that section. Click on that, and that bulletin board will open up, and edit away. As far as I know, there's no option for images at this time.  [report anonymous abuse]  [ accepted]

I HAVE A PROBLEM AND ANY HELP IS MUCH-MUCH APPRECIATED!!....

FIRST I HAVE AN E-MACHINE-1 YEAR OLD WINDOWS-XP..I PAID A COMPUTER MAN A FEW MONTHS BACK TO FIX MY COMPUTER AND PUT ON SECURITY-ALOT OF IT, THIS IS WHAT I NEEDED......SO WHEN I OPEN MY MAIL, I DO THIS IN A NEW WINDOW, ALLOWING IT AS A TEMPORARY POP-UP...SOUNDS CRAZY BUT I NEEDED THIS..BUT MAYBE I HAVE TOO MUCH SECURITY???..DO NOT KNOW WHAT KIND OF SECURITES ON THIS COMPUTER.....BUT COMPUTER GUY- HE IS ALREADY PAID AND GONE...LOL.

PROBLEM--IN THIS SITE-CARE2 MY- IM DOES NOT OPEN...MY COMPUTER READS IT AS A POP-UP OR SOMETHING...FOUND THE TEMPORAY ALLOW POP-UP IN THIS SITE BUTTON-ONCE, THINK I RIGHT CLICKED ON TOP OF BAR???N   NOW I CAN'T FIND IT????

THEN I TYPED INTO THE IM, ONCE WHEN I DID FIND IT,  WRITING MY RESPONSE--BUT I RECEIVED, NO REPONSE, BUT THEY WERE GETTING THE IM--SO WE DID THE INBOX COMMUNICATION THING!...WIS-WISH, I COULD OPEN AND SEND IM!!!

EVERYTIME I GET AN IM- I PUSH YES-AND IT WILL NOT DO ANYTHING, EVEN IF I PUSH NO-IT DOES NOTHING???...THEN WHEN I DROPPED THE POP-UP TEMPORARILY--DO NOT THINK THEY COULD READ MY RESPONSE--ANY IDEAS????...I AM SURE THIS CONFUSED YOU, SORRY!!!
