What's true?
Probably the Moore womans name and her association with known drug growers and traffickers.
Probably the report that got leaked to the press which the press conveniently only printed excerpts from that condemn or are open to conjecture and slur by innuendo. They forgot the part where the police had investigated the case and could find no evidence linking Corby to the case.
What is false?
The case where you are guilty by association. Consider Haneef and how he was treated because he was a 2nd cousin of a villian. How many of us can truly say that they do not know anyone guilty of a crime or know what your cousin is up to today.
Guilt by Association is a very dangerous practice brought in under the anti terrorist acts and can jail you indefinitely without recourse to a trial. Just how many persons would know Corby from her days in her mothers shop? Every person who walked in must be guilty. Wake up Australia you are being conned!
I don't even think the police report exists. Especially since the "facts" in the report seem to mutate each year. John Stewart has based two stories around this alleged report (one in 2006 and one in 2007), but the first story uses the report to cast rumours about the Corby family and the ex-neighbour. The second story uses the report to cast rumours about Schapelle and her "drug smuggling associates".

What do we know? We need to have a closer look at the allegations because I do have some conflicting facts at my disposal. Since around 2001, there has been a massive increase in amphetamine imports into Australia from Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and the Philippines. In fact, staggeringly large hauls that are the talk of Europe because they broke records.
If you want to claim that pyramids sharpen razor blades, that there's other dimensions, that time travel is possible or that Australians are exporting amphetamines to Indonesia, you can't just say it - you actually have to offer proof and, in the latter example, explain how Australian drug manufacturers could possibly make a profit when they have to import the major ingredient - pseudoephedrine - from Indonesia because commercial production here is better guarded than our gold bullion.
I would like to thank Hans for inviting me to this group. As I do not know much about the case itself, I have to tend to agree very highly with Lorraine K., as there is certainly more highly case profile criminals out there running around FREE of murder, abusing, kidnapping, etc. as opposed to putting this young lady behind bars for such a small crime...she is harmless, and is getting a harder rap for something that she does not deserve, it sounds to me. Now, I am wondering if she got a fair trial? Or did she just get sent away without hearing evidence or her case properly?...please if anyone has anything to add to this case, sure would appreciate it, as I would like to help her in anyway that I can, but I need to know more.

I am saying many blessings of love and light for this young lady, that she may find justice in a quick manner. Sending out positive energies for her, so that she doesn't have to live out those many yrs. in a jail cell for something that the time doesn't fit the crime...Much "Tsilvquodi" (love) and "dohiyi" (peace) to everyone here...remember "Mitakuye Oyasin" (we are one)..and if need be...we shall be her voice...and so it is and shall be.."E me nv" (Amen)...FreeSpiritRunning...xxxooo
Halito (hello) to all .. I wanted to share a petition I just happened upon, I am sure many of you have seen it and already signed, but I thought it needed much more attention, so i am posting it here in this group and forwarding to my friends list..much love and peace...looking forward to helping Schapelle Corby to get her free and proving her innocence and least getting her a fair trail...let's work together on this one...Wado (thank you) all..blessings of love and light..walk with the light always and shall guide you on the positive path..FreeSpiritRunning...xxxooo
The previous Australian Government stood by and did nothing when the Indonesian Courts sentenced a young Australian woman to 20 years for importation of 4.2kg of marijuana. Despite pleading by the defendant to have the drugs DNA tested, her baggage weighed and the bags fingerprinted, the trial went ahead without testing of this crucial evidence. This evidence would have set her free.
She was not given her rights to a fair trial under the laws of Indonesia or by international conventions.
This petition to the Prime Minister of Australia is designed in the hope that diplomatic intervention will help in securing Schapelle Corby's release and return her home to Australia, a free woman.

Currently, Schapelle Corby has a judicial review under way to test the legality of her incarceration.
If her review fails, this young woman is facing a 20 year jail sentence that will prevent her ever from having children and seeing them play happily in their own home. We need people power to help set her free.

The Hon. Kevin Rudd
Prime Minister of Australia
Parliament house
Canberra ACT.
Dear Mr. Rudd
We, the undersigned, call on you to address the incarceration of Ms Schapelle Corby for 20 years in a Bali Jail and the circumstances surrounding her trial.
Whether the young woman was guilty or not, the manner in which the trial was conducted, should have resulted in her immediate release with no conviction recorded against her name.
You would be aware that the defendant was denied the basic right of any court of law, anywhere in the world, to have the evidence tested - in this case, to establish the country in which it was grown.". If that turned out to be Bali it would have meant an automatic dismissal of the charge. Our previous Foreign Minister actually stated that it was possible that the drugs had been placed in her bag in Bali. We heard no further mention of that distinct possibility.
If DNA testing had found that the drugs were from Australia, further testing would have revealed the dna profile of anyone who had handled the product from their hair or dander samples in the package.
We need to help her! There is no case here! To me she is an innocent victim! Without evidence no case! This cannot be true! The former Australian government was worst than the Bushgovernment is....realy mean that!
They did not care about anything sometimes they did remind me of the worst times here in Europe!
Australia has to get her free ! We will spread this news!
The new government is good i am sure that they will help her!
If the police tempers with evidence the case is clear set her free! Lets take a look at the BALI site of the story? What can we reach in Bali? They depend on the rest of the world tourism is important.. Lets see what we can do!
Hey Neville:
How 'bout a series of very polite, professionaly written letters to the Bali tourist industry? I'm talking resorts, airlines, local business people.....
The letters would say the following:
Dear Whoever: I'd love to visit Bali, but at the present time I am afraid to. I don't trust the police or the justice system. Until Schapelle Corby is released, I am not prepared to risk myself or my families security by traveling to any part of Indonesia.
Ideally, these letters would be written by people who went there in the past, and can prove it.
Peter Ginsberg
Hi Peter
Personally I believe that this would be a good idea. I would like you to post the suggestion on our primary forum http://www.freeschapelle.com.au/forum as we have many talented persons in the group who may just be able to craft such a series of letters. Others reading this message might like to respond here on the above site as all suggestions that might help bring this unfortunate girl home are welcome.
Thanks
Nev
To understand the context of this case it is like being accused of smuggling commercial quantities of marijuana from the USA to places like Jamaica, Mexico or Columbia. The idea that anyone would take marijuana from Australia to Bali is laughable.
After the Bali bombing that earned Indonesia Billions of dollars in ‘War on Terror’ funding none of that money went to Bali even though Bali was the coalface of Western tourism. It went to Jakarta and Bali went broke. There is more than enough evidence to show that the Chief of Bali Police, Made Pastika, needed to charge a Westerner with a death penalty offence to gain UN ‘War on Drugs’ funding and so a random tourist had 4.1Kg of marijuana planted in her boogie board bag at Bali’s airport.
However, everything went wrong for them. Schapelle Corby was a poor choice. She was ‘the girl next door’ and very unlike the ‘hippies’ that usually take surf boards to Bali. They had already underestimated people’s understanding that no one would take marijuana, especially in commercial quantities to Bali. To make the charges appear genuine, the Bali Police deliberately contaminated fingerprints, refused to weigh her luggage and compare that to the weight on her ticket and disallowed any analysis of the marijuana to determine the country of origin.
Understand that if Schapelle had been guilty this would have been THEIR evidence that would have proved the prosecutions case without any need for hearsay evidence and they were discarding it. They knew that Schapelle’s hair would not be found in the marijuana. They knew that her luggage would be 4Kg heavier. They knew that their own fingerprints would be on the plastic.
The Australian public were furious and in February and March of 2005 the Australian government was in crisis. 95% of the population believed she was innocent and the Australian media commentary directed at Indonesia along with the anti-Australian street marches throughout Indonesia resembled a prelude to war.
What happened next should be of concern to the entire world. The Australian media did an about face. They developed blind spots concerning the evidence and the obvious collusion of Schapelle’s lawyers with the prosecution. The Australian media claimed without any evidence whatsoever that Australian marijuana was exported to Bali on a regular basis and the CCTV footage disappeared from the airport where Schapelle departed. This was followed by a deliberate smear campaign without a single fact against her ever being proved.
Then the Australian government informed the Indonesians that 9 stupid Australian kids were arriving in Bali to buy heroin to bring it back into Australia. On the 8th of April 2005, the day the last of them arrived in Bali the Indonesian Attorney General told our Justice Minister that they would not seek the death penalty for Schapelle because we are opposed to this penalty. Six of the Bali 9 have been sentenced to death.
Just like the ‘WMD in Iraq’ lies, the media was directed by government. We can no longer be nationalistic waving our flags and blaming the peoples of other nations, even Indonesians or Iraqis, for our woes. Indonesia with 250 million Muslims is ruled by a corrupt military dictatorship and the West is doing all they can to maintain the illusion of their democracy and that the people have access to a fair judicial system.
It is not nations or peoples that are at fault but the world’s power elite that no longer need to be governed by the pe

David W:
Somewhere in the archives is a posting that claims that pardons are for sale in Indonesia.
Remember the stories about the police shaking down tourists for money? Planting drugs on people and bringing them to trial is the final stage of this process.
And when someone buys a pardon for $100 K, guess what happens? Why they'll just replace that prisoner with a new one and start all over again!
Where is this going to end?
By 2020, we're going to wind up with an Indonesian government website featuring pictures of miserable-looking young Westerners behind bars. Below each picture will be the price for a pardon, the amount raised so far, and details of how to contribute by credit card!!!
((Hi. I'm Jennifer, I'm 23 years old and I've been sentenced to 25 years. My pardon costs $100,000. We've already raised $85,000 - please help me get home......))
This has got to stop.
Peter G
Hello Peter,
I doubt that pardon sales are that obvious although the general premise of money equals freedom is true within any corrupt system.
Indonesia is very young. In 1997, they were bankrupt because the USA had imposed trade sanctions for human right abuses in East Timor. Indonesia was recognised as a military dictatorship and Suharto had been put into power in 1968 by the CIA when he butchered 3/4 of a million communists. However, like Saddam Hussein and Noriega, Suharto went against Western Powers and upset USA congress (Readers Digest version).
In 1998, 2000 university students scaled the palace walls, ousted Suharto and the military regime ran away while the students were fed and allowed to use the palace toilets for three days - Indonesia adopted democracy. And if you believe that, you'll believe anything.
Indonesia has what they call the 'Reformasi'. A group trying to install democracy and a democratic judicial system but the truth is that they are still a dictatorship with elected presidents who have no real power and dare not challenge the military.
However, the lie being perpetrated by the West is "Mission Accomplished". Because the West wants unfettered access to Indonesia's resources and a regime that can oppress any Islamic ideals of a non-sectarian government they actively promote Indonesia as a struggling democracy - it isn't.
When the rule of law is replaced by the rule of might and the people are left to fend for themselves, 'dog eat dog' becomes the norm and corruption becomes the only means of survival and a tool of the oppressors.
When Schapelle was framed it was an outrage. What the Indonesians did was criminal. The set up was sloppy, and orchestrated by people who have never had to explain themselves, and never needed to tie off loose ends because no one in Indonesia has dared to question them for 50 years.
If it wasn't for the Australian government, it would have fallen apart and Schapelle would have been acquitted. If it wasn't for the USA government not wanting their boy, Yudiono, embarrased in front of the pro-Islamic Reformasi, the truth behind the judicial decisions would have come out.
So who is to blame really? Indonesia? Where anyone protesting against their government is shot in yet another non-Western media event? Where any public protest IS the government sending a 'voice of the people' message? Or Should we blame the governments that have had hundreds of years of democracy and should know better?
The Corby case is tragic but there is an imperative here beyond compassion. We, in the West are fast losing democracy as the power of the media takes control. Schapelle's innocence is obvious to anyone who can think and the ramifications throughout the world are frightening.

Schapelle was handed some phone numbers on the night she was arrested in Bali for drug possession. She chose not to call them because she is innocent. Never in her wildest dreams would she have paid money to the corrupt officials there who DO plant drugs in tourist baggage, and ask for money so they won't be charged. For Schapelle originally she thought this was something like a dream and she would not be sentenced to jail. In fact she had her bags packed ready to come home when she went to the court in Bali for the verdict. I will NEVER forget the look on her face, or the disbelief in everyone eyes when the verdict was translated to us...it was in Indonesian and a translator was there telling us for 3 hrs in English what the 3 Judges were saying...It is TRUE is something that will always stick in my mind in the translation....it was televised on Australian Televison live here and most Australians watched it that afternoon...no matter where they were. It had coverage like Princess Dianas' wedding. NONE of us could believe the verdict, we were all in shock. Around 90+% of Australians believed Schapelle had been set up somewhere between Brisbane Airport and Bali (via Sydney) and we still believe this to this day. Nothing will ever sway me from fighting for Schapelle and her innocence..it has been a long road for us, but an even longer one for Schapelle who sits in that cell day in and day out...Care Packages can be sent 1-20 is Primary 21-33 is secondary items.
