The Sunday Times of London revealed last week the reason why Israeli
Prime Minister Netanyahu flew a secret mission to Moscow last month.
According to the newspaper, the Prime Minister presented proof to
Russian leaders that Russian nuclear scientists were helping Iran build
a nuclear weapon.
By giving out this information to the Russians, Israel was tipping off
both the Russians and the Iranians to the fact that Israeli spies had
penetrated the secrecy of Iran's nuclear weapons program. In making
known Israel's spying penetration, the revelation will lead the
Iranians to shut down the spying and therefore leaving Israel blinded
for future knowledge of what's going on.
Analysts speculate that Israel's disclosure means that Israel will
no longer need the spying operation because it has all the information
it needs about the program prior to launching military action to
destroy Iran's ability to produce nuclear weapons. On that basis,
analysis strongly suggests that a major Israeli military action is
almost a certainty within the next 6 to 12 months. In fact, an Israeli
strike could be "imminent" in the next 90 days according to some
speculations.

Saudis May Buy Russian Air Defenses
UPI Newswire service is reporting that Saudi Arabia is considering an
option to purchase Russia's most up to date anti-missile air defense
system, the S-400. The advanced system is far superior to the S-300
system which Iran has requested for purchase.
According to reports, the Saudis would purchase the S-400 system if
Russi would promise to not sell any anti-air systems like the S-400,
S-300 or the TOR-M1 systems to Iran. For more on the Saudi proposal, LINK HERE.
JERUSALEM (Reuters) - Israel must have
"tremendously powerful" weapons to deter a nuclear attack or destroy an
enemy that dares to launch an atomic strike, a senior adviser to Prime
Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was quoted on Thursday as saying.
National security adviser Uzi Arad, in comments to Haaretz
newspaper, appeared to allude to what is widely believed to be Israel's
own nuclear arsenal and a standing policy of "mutually assured
destruction" (MAD). He warned other countries they could bring about
their own devastation if they launched an attack.
Israel has never confirmed it has atomic arms.
In excerpts on Haaretz's English-language website of an interview to be published on Friday, Arad said he feared that if Iran
became a nuclear power, five or six other states in the Middle East
would follow suit. He called such a prospect a "nightmare" for Israel.
"The defensive might we have must be improved and become
tremendously powerful, and create a situation in which no one will dare
to realize the ability to harm us," Arad said.
"And if they do dare, we will exact a full price, so that they too will not survive."
Israel has three German-made submarines that are widely assumed to carry nuclear missiles.
One of the submarines sailed from the Mediterranean, via the Suez
Canal, to Israel's Red Sea port of Eilat last week, in what officials
called a signal to Iran of the long reach of its arsenal.
Israel and its Western allies fear that Iran
is enriching uranium with the aim of producing nuclear weapons. Iran
says it is pursuing only a nuclear power generation program.
In a 2006 Reuters interview, then-vice premier Shimon Peres, currently Israel's president, said Iranian
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who has called for Israel to be wiped
off the map, should bear in mind his country also could be destroyed.
"They want to wipe out Israel ... Now when it comes to destruction, Iran too can be destroyed (but) I don't suggest to say an eye for an eye," Peres said.

THERE IS A STORY UP ON C2 NOW THAT I WAS GOING TO POST THIS IN, HOWEVER I CANNOT FIND IT AGAIN. SO I WANT TO POST THIS HERE. I WOULD NEVER TURN MY BACK ON ISRAEL. BELOW IS MY POST:
What's Special about Israel?
The land variously called Israel and Palestine is extremely small (about 10,000 square miles) compared to its neighbours. Its original Jewish occupants were scattered to the nations some 2,500 years ago and since then it has been occupied by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persions, Greeks, Romans, Turks and the British. Even in 1900 the population of Israel was only some 500,000; it was politically and industrially insignificant, with a mix of many peoples representing some 50 languages. So why is Israel frequently in world focus today?
During the 20th century Israel saw astounding development, especially after becoming a state in 1948. For example, from 1958 - 1965 it saw a growth of 13.6% in manufacturing, and the population grew from 0.5m in 1900 to 6.5m in 2005. It now has high-tech industries, forestry and agricultural industries, and a highly developed infrastructure. But these facts alone are insufficient to warrant world attention. There must be a more fundamental reason.
The reason for Israel's prominence today is biblical rather than political. The Bible says that God chose a special people to be His witness to the world:
'"You are My witnesses," declares the LORD, "And My servant whom I have chosen" ... And what nation on the earth is like Your people Israel, whom God went to redeem for Himself as a people and to make a name for Himself, and to do a great thing for You and awesome things for Your land ...' (Isa 43.10)(2 Sam 7.23)
Although the nation of Israel was scattered some 2500 years ago, the Bible says that it will be regathered in the last days of this age:
'"I will take the sons of Israel from among the nations where they have gone ... and bring them into their own land ..."' (Ezek 37.21)
This regathering is now well underway and Israel is taking prominence on the world stage. According to prophecy, the God of the Bible will make a name for Himself through Israel in the last days. The world will no longer be able to ignore Him.
Current Scenario
Much of the Middle East conflict appears to be over Israel's very existence. There is intense hatred towards the State of Israel:
"Israel has continued too long ... the battle has come in which we shall destroy Israel" ... President of Egypt, 1967
"Israel should be eliminated from the pages of history" ... President of Iran, 2006
The conflict is also over 'occupied land' and over Jerusalem. For a detailed discussion on land occupation see Palestinian Problem. From a biblical point of view, the land of Israel was given by God to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and their descendants, see The Purpose of Israel. The biblical injunction to Israel is to occupy the land but embrace the foreigner in the land. The future biblical boundaries of Israel range from 'the river of Egypt' (not the Nile) in the south, to the Jordan valley in the east, to Hamath in the north (see The Millennial Reign of Christ). Clearly, the boundaries include both the Gaza strip and the West Bank of the Jordan. They also include significant parts of present-day Syria i.e. up to Hamath, and probably all of Lebanon.
Future Middle East War
Bible prophecy is very clear on one thing: the nations will invade regathered Israel. We have:
the 'Gog-Magog' invasion of Ezek 38,39
the 'all-nation' invasion of Zech 14
Consider the 'all-nation' invasion first.
'I will gather all the nations against Jerusalem to battle ...' (Zech 14.2)
The timing of this invasion is clear: it is defeated by Christ as He returns to earth (Zech 14.3,4), and so it occurs at the very end of this age. We also know significant detail about this invasion:
the location is Har-Magedon (Armageddon), a reference to the ancient city of Megiddo built on a hill and located in northern Israel
the city of Jerusalem is captured
God Himself fights against the world's armies
the Israeli's (the 'tribe of Judah') also fight
the attacking armies suffer a 'flesh-rotting' plague and are defeated
the end time world ruler is captured
This last battle of the age sees the end of the godless World Government and ushers in the millennial reign of Christ. Prophecy also suggests the type of weaponry used. This last war could use neutron bombs (since these vaporize flesh at close range) and also nuclear devices (since Malachi 4 refers to a time of fierce heat when attackers will be burnt to ashes).
The 'Gog-Magog' invasion involves a confederacy of nations, particularly Iran (Persia), Ethiopia, Put, and Gomer (Ezek 38.5,6). Put is associated with Africa, possibly Libya, whilst Gomer is probably identified with an Aryan group who conquered Armenia from their Ukrainian homeland. The invasion is led by 'Gog', which could be a specific people, or symbolic of anti-God forces. The invaders fall on the mountains of Israel and in the open field (Ezek 39.4,5).
Palestinian kills Israeli teenager with pickax
AP - Thu Apr 2, 12:48 PM ET
BAT AYIN, West Bank - A Palestinian killed an Israeli teenager with a pickax and seriously injured a 7-year-old boy in a rampage through this West Bank Jewish settlement Thursday, posing an early test for the country's new hard-line government.
It's all public relations February 02, 2009 1:58 PM
Unfortunately, once you ring a bell like that (especially if there are pictures), the sound reverberates in a life of its own; no printed retraction will ever cancel out the damage. It's my hope that continuing to take the higher road in actions will ultimately count more that lies.
French news has lied once more. They admitted that reports that were shown on TV were not from now but from a work accident that happened in the Jebbalya camp. The terrorists blew themselves up and they reported it as happening now . How disgusting is that, and the whole world believes it! People should follow the news, today 3 rockets fell one next to a daycare center. Where is the world now?

Esther was taken as a captive to Persiaa tyrannical ruler who banishes his queen from the royal throneand initiates a search for her successorand of course, a dastardly villain, Haman, who desired to perpetrate genocide against the Jews. Esthers uncle, Mordecai, challenged the queen to approach the king (a move that could have been punishable by death) and ask for the salvation of her people. With great trepidation, Esther approached Ahasuerus and was granted an audience with the king. The plan for the destruction of the Jews by the foul villain, Haman, was thwarted and Esthers people were allowed to live in peace in Shushan. (NOTE: It is interesting that the name of the villain, Haman, is similar to that of todays villain, Hamas, and the threat is as great today as it was in Esthers day.)
The Jerusalem Post reports that much of Hamass imported weaponry, and the expertise with which it now produces and refines its own rockets, have been provided by Iran. Dozens of its commanders have been trained in Iran in recent years, coming home and disseminating that education . Hamas is thoroughly indifferent to the deaths of its own people - as exemplified by its ruthless seizure of control in the Gaza Strip 18 months ago. What is not yet clear, by contrast, is whether the official spokespeople have internalized the necessity to highlight Iran in their message to the world - Iran, the state champion and major enabler of Hamas's terror-state in Gaza. Iran is inspiring, funding, arming and training Hamas. Iran is avowedly committed to Israel's destruction, and regards Hamas as a tool toward this goal. The same Iran .is now most of the way to achieving proxy control .over all of Lebanon. The same Iran, already armed with missiles that can reach Israel, is extending its missile range to Europe and, it hopes, ultimately to North America. The same Iran is openly challenging not just the Middle East order but the world order, with President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad personifying that challenge, thoroughly backed by the entire Teheran regime. And that same Iran is moving ever closer to the nuclear capability it intends to use in the service of its goals. The long-term deterrence of Hamas's capacity to threaten Israel would represent the long-term deterrence of one aspect of Iran's rapacious and far-reaching power drive. That's an outcome .that at least part of the watching world might appreciate .
Israelis in this area have suffered tremendously mentally, physically and emotionally. For example, terrorists blew up a school bus, and three precious children whose father is a rabbi, were all terribly wounded. Tehila, the eldest daughter, lost both legs in the attack. Thanks to the JPT, we were able to purchase a special motorized wheelchair to allow her to attend school and play with her friends.

Senior
officials from world powers have met in Paris to discuss Iran's nuclear
program, but there was little sign of any breakthrough. Political
directors from Germany and the five permanent members of the UN
Security Council - the United States, France, Britain, China and Russia
- have held talks for months over Iran but have so far failed to change
attitudes in Tehran. The French Foreign Ministry issued a brief
statement after Thursday's meeting, but gave no indication of any major
new initiatives or steps forward. "The meeting allowed the participants
to review the current situation and to discuss the way ahead ... The
Six will pursue their consultations on next steps in the upcoming
weeks," the statement said.
Iran said last week it
had received a letter from EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana urging
new talks on its nuclear program. A European diplomatic source was
quoted by 'Reuters' as saying that Iran had questions following receipt
of the letter and added that the world powers would discuss these in
Paris on Friday.

Police in White
Plains, in the US state of New York, are increasing patrols around a
Jewish day school after swastikas and a hate slogan were found scrawled
on the wall of the kindergarten building. Police say a groundskeeper at
the Solomon Schechter School discovered the graffiti, along with a
damaged wooden fence, on Monday. Police say the fence was pushed in,
causing about US$ 500 in damage. Empty beer bottles were also found
strewn in the area. Sunday was the 70th anniversary of Kristallnacht
when massive violence toward Jews and their property erupted in Nazi
Germany in 1938. The White Plains incident is being investigated as a
hate crime. Officials at the school sent an e-mail to parents informing
them about the incident.

Around 1,000
pupils and left-wing activists who unlawfully occupied Humboldt
University in the German capital Berlin and some of whom destroyed an
anti-Nazi exhibition were reacting to the university's close ties to
Israel, the university president has said. Christoph Markschies told
the 'Jerusalem Post' that one of the protesters in the lobby of the
university said "Damn Israel" when asked by another student to stop
vandalizing the exhibit 'Betrayed and Sold' about the plundering of
Jewish businesses under the Nazis. "Friendship with Israel is part of
the Humboldt University's identity," said Markschies, adding that "no
one can tell me that the exhibit was damaged because it was a mistake."
Markschies had to barricade himself in his office to
escape what he called "the mob." He said that "HU was directly
targeted" because of its solid partnership with Israel. The university
is repairing the damaged displays and plans to remount the exhibition.
Lee Hielscher, a spokesman for a pupil association that participated in
the demonstration in Berlin, told the 'Jerusalem Post' that he was
investigating the eyewitness reports from the protest. He said the
vandalism and alleged statement were not driven by anti-Semitism, but
that the expression "Damn Israel" highlights the "problems of the State
of Israel."

Israel Restricts West Bank Travel After Religious School Shooting By VOA News 07 March 2008
Israelis gather around bodies of students killed by Palestinian gunman, at Mercaz Harav Yeshiva in Jerusalem, 07 Mar 2008 Israeli forces have restricted travel from the West Bank until Saturday evening in the wake of a deadly attack by a Palestinian gunman inside a Jewish religious school in Jerusalem.
Thousands of mourners gathered in Jerusalem Friday, at funeral processions for students killed in Thursday's attack.
Witnesses said a gunman entered a crowded room at the rabbinical seminary and opened fire with a rife, killing eight people and injuring 35 others. An Israeli police spokesman said the attacker was killed on the scene.
Police said the gunman was a Palestinian resident of East Jerusalem. Hezbollah's Manar television station says a previously unknown group called the Martyrs of Imad Mughniyeh and Gaza claimed responsibility, but the claim could not be verified.
A spokesman with the Israeli foreign ministry said the attack was aimed at killing chances for peace, but vowed peace talks will continue. Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas also condemned the attack.
The attack follows weeks of escalating violence, with Palestinian militants firing rockets at southern Israel and Israeli forces killing more than 100 people in strikes on Gaza.
The U.N. Security Council held an emergency meeting on Thursday, but could not agree on the wording of a statement about the attack. Libya, backed by several other council members, insisted any statement be balanced with a condemnation of Israeli actions in Gaza. Other council members wanted the issues to be separate.
Egypt has begun talks with Hamas and Islamic Jihad, seeking a truce between the militant groups and Israel. The talks are being held in the Egyptian Sinai city of El Arish, three days after Israel ended a Gaza offensive that killed more than 120 Palestinian militants and civilians in an effort to stop near-daily rocket attacks on Israel.
