Christians are the Body of Christ!!! It is that simple!!!
Christ is the head of His Body. Anyone who accepts Jesus as Lord, and repents from their sins is a member of the Body of Christ. Each member of the Body has a purpose in the will of God. The Body of Christ is the family of God. Each member of the Body needs each other to fulfill God's plan for their lives.
Body of Christ is every single of us. God blesses us, and ask us to serve each other with a humble and honest heart. Confess with one another and pray for each other. A strong church is not the one that never made mistakes, but one that allow mistakes to surface and let it be healed by God through the body of Christ.
Though we might not agree with everything about each other. We need to accept one another with love and patience, because we are no more perfect than another. We might think so and so is hypocrites. Instead of pretending we are friend with him, we shall pray for him, and seek the goodness of that brother or sister in Christ. We shall speak the truth with kindness. And if it is just hearsay, we shall not judge.
The body of Christ is not just Sunday service where people worship Lord, it is in daily life where we help out each other, and serve each other. We each possess some gifts from God. And we shall share our testimony, life lesson and gifts from God with whom that we know, to strength our brothers and sisters, including our struggles, stress, failures.
It is when we open up to each other that we truely have fellowship with each other.
What is today that is preventing you to open up your heart now?
Christians are followers of Christ WHO ARE OBEDIENT TO HIM. Many call themselves christian, but don't necessarily do so. "By their fruits ye shall know them." Case in point. Back in the 2000 election I was a bit stumped. I'm pro-life. That means I'm against abortion, but I'm also against the death penalty. We had Bush, who was pro-death penalty. He was still Gov. of Texas at the time, and a man was put to death despite plenty of evidence that he was innocent. Then there was Gore. He was anti-death penalty, but pro-abortion. Oh, and Bush is anti-abortion. IN a case like that, what is one to think?
We have too many "cafeteria" christians around these days.
