It will replace the first ever state record blue catfish certified in 2008 of 57 pounds 3.2 ounces.
Although I have never caught a prize winning Blue Cat Fish .. I did catch a nice Flat head on June 16th at a local fishing spot here in Pittsburgh... he was 3 foot in lengh and weighed 22 lbs .. I practice catch and release.
I caught him on a slice of Wonder Bread that I squeezed on to a number 2 hook ... I only used ten pound mono line on my Ugly Stick. Caught him on the inside of his lower lip .. he tried real hard top get away .. but I got him.
He may not be a prize winner ... but I loved every minute I spent with him.
