Forgiveness - Your Point Of View March 02, 2009 2:41 PM

The Power Of Forgiveness
I was sent the link below from Monica B.
Great article . Thank you for sharing.
As I read this I couldn't help reflecting on my own upbringing as a christen.
My thoughts, confirmed what I always believed ,
that although people are different we are more the same than most think.
Then I thought !!!!
It would be interesting to see
what other peoples point of view was on the subject of Forgiveness.
That's when I decided to make this page.
So please read the article below and then take a few minutes to post.
Thank You
Bella

One of the most important issues that we all face in life is the question of forgiveness. We will never be free of the need of receiving forgiveness from God and from one another. In the Lord's Prayer, Jesus showed his recognition of this by including our request for God's forgiveness, and our offer of it to others., Without learning something of the meaning of forgiveness, we will never be able to form deep relationships.

The Lord's Prayer

Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name.
Your Kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as in heaven
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins,
as we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours.
Now and for ever.
Amen

Forgiveness can be the most desired thing we can dream of, and the most elusive to discover. It has nothing to do with who has wronged you, or how broken your heart is...we cannot forget...but have prayed that God would take away the memories and the trauma...but it never goes away...

Some of us get up every day and forgive those (again) who have abused us, and something happens; we are emotionally tipped over, and realize we have to begin again to forgive, but we are tormented and cannot find an anchor anywhere...and we are drowning...

As we cry out, begging God to help us, we are devastated under the crushing weight of hurt we cannot seem to escape...and we look ahead, and there is still more...and how can this be?

We forgive with our mouths, and pray our heart will follow...and still, we ache from the pain which torments us...and we ask God if He will have mercy on us, and that we will forgive and move on.... or awaken no more.

Forgive = Forget  or be forward and give before you take

It is positive approach for advanced healing process , if you don't forgive ..you hurt yourself first ... so be forward and forget to give leading lession to others even to those who hurted you first ... it is really a challenging task to take lead and forgive ...it reflects your inner strength ...
