We've some wonderful and knowledgeable folks here......all of us fight in our own special ways to get the word out for the animals.....in the end.....we all have the same goal..............will fight until all the cages are empty and those who abuse pay for their crimes with actual jail time....no more slaps on the wrist. So please make yourself at home ( as well as those who've just joined us here as well) There's alot of info and stuff (can be a bit overwhelming) and sometimes you will see/read things that are beyond the imagination.....I still lose sleep overnight when certain stories/animals will not get outta my head/heart. But its all reality.....and their nightmare. So we must be the ones to speak up and say......"Enough is enough and we will not tolerate this anymore". Until people open their eyes and their hearts.....abuse will continue. [ send green star]

Like you Megan, we are trying to gather shelter/rescue info for states so that there is a form of contact between each state (esp in needs of transfer). Some of these posts/graphics may be too hard for some to bear.....but please remember, while it might be hard on you to see them.....the animals actually feel the abuses. Kathy P.	animals of all kinds October 25, 2009 9:52 AM I am a huge animal lover and I hate to see animals put down because of breeders trying to make a buck and animals end up in cages starving and not being sold. I have seen so much sadness on the news lately from dogs and horses starving. Finally our animal shelter is trying to save the animals instead of euthanasia. It isn't perfect yet, but they are hopping to save move animals in a years time. The shelter is getting better on trying to adopt them out instead of the other alternative. I have so much compassion for animals cause they love you unconditional. A lot of animals make better friends than people. Animals are loyal and true. If there is anything that I can do in my area, let me know. I don't have the funds but I can help out with people needing workers. I am still in school and won't graduate till June 7th 2010. Cant wait. I have 3 animals. 2 cats one is an exotic short hair persian named Peanut and the other is an himalyian named Simba. I also have a cockatiel named Simon. My boys are getting old but in great condition. They are so awesome and I can't imagine life without my boys. I am currently working on making contacts to start a network that will spread across oklahoma to create a state wide animal help group. The problem with more rural states like oklahoma is that there are lots of people willing to help, but it's hard for them to meet up and find a group to join. I'm hoping by providing contacts all across the state we'll be able to stop abuse outside of the cities as well as okc and tulsa. [ send green star] [ accepted]
