Chrissy does not have dinner or cat litter. She is having a very rough time today. We are out right now. She can not take care of the kitties without it. The bowls will be empty tonight .Their will be no cat litter in the boxes.

and, just given his bad situation, I would take him in a minute I have saved room for one more cat in a dire situation)....if not for my queensland heeler, who likes to charge my cats!  They have learned to manage him with a swat or a hiss, but I think a blind kitty would be severely disadvantaged in my current situation.  Poor baby, he must be terrified.  Will post to FB.  At least I am here in CA, where someone I know might fall in love with his beautiful face.

Year and a hal.f old, male,named “Butters” in need of rescue. He is a very sweet boy and is lost/confused here in the shelter. We are still inundated with cats and kittens from this year’s kitten season, so we are unable to place him up for adoption at this time. His owners did not groom him regularly and he is in need of a shave down.
Please let us know if you are able to help this sweet boy. We can hold on to him until Thursday, September 23rd at 6pm. Please cross post

Sunday night 16 May, after midnight, unknown people entered in the shelter for cats of  Castellanza (Varesese).  Some objects have been stolen and these anonymous people, arsonists, set on fire the shelter. The local branch of OIPA run this shelter in collaboration with the municipality of Castellanza.

The shelter went destroyed after the arson. The cats and the volunteers need help

I hope that your birthday wish comes true and you get to give the cat a home with you.....if not I pray that someone in the group will be able to find a home for him.   Please give us more information on his location, etc.

If you REALLY want to SAVE THIS CAT, you need to find out more information and provide it to us, the group.  We need to know where the shelter is (a little more specific than somewhere in NC USA), the name of the shelter, and contact information.  Maybe if you can do this, people will be willing to raise the adoption money for you OR maybe someone else will go and adopt him.  Either way, it'll be a happy ending for him. 

PLEASE do your very best and maybe we can save this little guy's life!  *Big Smile*

I've been to a shelter recently and I met a cat named Methos. I don't have a pic, but he's really cute. He's a black cat with a chewed ear. I don't want him to be put to sleep... I have been given until my 18th birthday to get enough money to get him. We already bonded and I love that cat so much. I don't want him to die. My b-day is march 26th. That's his due-day for dying. I was hoping someone could adopt him. I know a lot of people on this site are good people. So, even if I can't get him, I hope one of you will. If you're interested please let me know by emailing me on this site. Because I'd have to call and find out where the shelter I went to was again. It's in NC, usa somewhere. But please hurry if you're interested. Methos needs a home. And I can't handle seeing another cat I've bonded with die.

Hazel is losing her home because her owners are losing there's. She has some "special" needs which is probably why they haven't been able to find a new place for her yet. But I know there is a safe place for her somewhere.

This is the story of my precious baby girl who we have loved for ten years now. Hopefully you can help me place her. Time is running out and I don't know what to do. She has been declawed years ago, before I knew better. When we first rescued her in 1999 from some teens in the neighborhood, they had been blowing pot smoke in her face. She was a mess. Her name was Mary Jane. The vet put her on Kitty Prozac (amyltriptline) and she was on that for a few years and then we took her off that cold turkey. She was the only pet for a few years and then we adopted Chloe in 2004. Hazel was then traumatized when two dogs that we adopted from Best Friends got into a wrestling match with our other cat Chloe in the house and Chloe was killed in front of Hazel. This was in 2005. Hazel has definitely been through trauma. We adopted our son Gianni at birth two years ago in 2007. So Hazel has been around him since birth, but has always been a hider when people are around, our son doesn't play with her... When she started peeing on the bed around 2007 and on the carpeting, we would clean it and the vet said she had a trace mount of crystals in her bladder. We give her fresh water and dry food and she had the whole bedroom to herself. After the peeing continued, this past summer, we decided to move her into the master bathroom where she now lives. She has a running water fountain (only filtered water) and a huge cat litter box that is actually a very long under-the-bed-storage box for her litter. It is scooped daily and the box is cleaned thoroughly every two weeks. We have a towel folded up that she sleeps on. We did have a nice blanket in there and it lasted a few days before she peed on that. My husband took a job out of town in January. My son and I are about to join him in May and the house we are renting won't allow us to have cats. This breaks my heart. We want Hazel to find a new home that will accept her and love her even though she has accidents. We would be willing to sponsor her and buy her food, give you her fountain and support in any way we can. She is a dwarf munchkin kitty and I describe her as a loaf of French bread sitting on 4 tater tots. Her legs are really short and her body is really long like a weasel. We love her, but we have to place her. Someone suggested euthanizing her and I was mortified. We would NEVER consider that EVER- We recently changed her food as she had the trace amount of crystals in her urine again. We have her on the Purina One urinary formula and had a Feliway plug in thing for the bathroom. Anyway, we love her so much and any help you can give us or any suggestions would be totally embraced and appreciated. Thank you Julie

Sterling

Sterling is male Gray Tabby.  He was abandoned during Hurricane Katrina almost 5 years ago. Hungry, terrified, wringing wet and with pieces of trees and debris all over him, he was finally rescued by a kind lady who brought him to us. Sterling made fast friends with another kitty, Shadow and they became so close that they ended up being adopted as a 'package deal'. They were very happy in their new home until one day and through no fault of their own, their new family was forced to return them to us. Shadow has since been adopted but Sterling is still with us and is just waiting for the family will love him forever.
 

Although we all adore Sterling, we would love to see him in a loving home. 

If you have room in your heart and home for this precious cat,

please contact ARF. 

He is up to date on shots, neutered and micro-chipped.

It HAS been a lifelong question.. not sure anyone has actually come up with the answer yet. Actually? from my perspective things seem to be getting worse rather than better, unfortunately. Just keep raising people's awareness until, maybe, hopefully, it begins to sink in.

(seems society is loosing a basic grip between right and wrong...I dunno...)

I hope this kitty gets the medical care it needs. It breaks my heart to see animal abuse. What is in the dark hearts of those who hurt, torture and kill innocent little beings? How do we appeal to their sensibilities? It's been a lifelong question.
