HomeAgain PetRescuers Member Guide
As a HomeAgain PetRescuer, there are quick, easy steps you can take to ensure the safety and welfare of a lost pet. If you are comfortable approaching the pet, first check for forms of identification. If the owner's contact information is on the tag, call the owner immediately and tell them the location of their pet.
If there is no owner contact information available (or if you cannot reach the owner), call 1-888-HOME-AGAIN (888-466-3242) to report the found pet to the HomeAgain Proactive Pet Recovery Network. HomeAgain dispatchers will help guide you through the process of reporting and reuniting a lost pet with his or her owner.
You are not required to approach the pet or take it into your home or yard. If you decide to take a pet into your care, here are some suggestions:

We are searching for my 6mnth old pup that went missing in the Bird Village subdivision in Rayne, Louisiana. I have attached a reward poster with all the information of her last whereabouts and our contact information. We'd greatly appreciate it if you took the time to take a look at it and maybe keep an eye out for her. Missy has just been spayed last week and still had her stitches in when she went missing Tuesday 10/06/09. If you have any questions please feel free call the contact numbers on the reward poster attached to the email. Thank you so much.
what a great idea for a thread Sue and I've red pinned it to the group board. while we all know that there are resources out there that you can list (as Bernadette said) some of us receive alerts from actual groups and friends......why not post them here as well. After all Care2.....is suppose to have so many active members.
Baby from Rayne is SAFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! October 10, 2009 10:16 PM
She has been safely found....Somehow this little one was able to cross a busy highway safely and live on her own for a couple days.A man was able to track the owner because the owners were responisble and had tags on her.
This should be a reminder to always have tags on ur pets.

SAW THIS AT RESCUE STORIES AT THE ANIMAL RESCUE SITE!!!SEEMS BELLA FOUND HER OWN HOME!
Bella was a stray for quite a while. A lady got her in her car and took her home. She fit right in but the husband didn't want her so she called me to see if I could rescue her. The lady said she saw her in the pound before and did not want to take her there. I took Bella into my rescue. People said they were interested in her, even wanted to try her out but everytime she would be returned.Took her to an adoption event, that day she went into heat. People looked at her and judged her by her breed,"pit mix". A lady saw Bella in the car and felt bad that she was going to the pound and said she would foster her. The next day Bella was missing. We found her half chewed leash and kennel i left for her outside. I figure she was tied up to the stairs and got tired of that and ran away. We put flyers up,drove the streets, put ads in our local papers, even put her ad on t.v. One week later after many worrisome days and nights wondering where our precious Bella was, a lady called and said I think I have your dog. We went to see if that was our girl and sure enough sitting on the couch was that sweet little face, I said, Oh, Bella, it is you.!!! She came running to me and gave me a hug and a kiss. What a relief.! I was so excited. We took her and about an hour later that lady called and said they wanted to adopt her. Her little boy cried when we took her away the first time. "Hey everyone.
Thank you SOOOO much for helping find my boy. He was last seen at my house.
2150 Reservoir st LA, CA 90026 just up the hill from Alvarado in Echo Park.
The main problem is that we believe that he was taken. Which means that he may
not be in the neighborhood anymore. But fingers crossed. He is the sweetest,
calmest, most Buddha like being. (Except to possums of course) He is also
wearing a purple collar. He has an Avid microchip. Zeke is a red Rottweiler/
Mastiff mix with a white spot on his chest and matching eyes. He weighs roughly
85lbs. All of you that know me, know how inseparable we are. THANK YOU THANK
