Exciting Progress in the Campaign Against the Fur Trade
Skinned! has recently made further progress in its campaign to stop GuestLife Vancouver, a high end tourist publication, from promoting fur. We are pleased to announce that the prestigious, five diamond Pan Pacific Vancouver Hotel, has agreed to no longer feature GuestLife Vancouver in its 505 suites should the publisher continue advertising for fur.
Pan Pacific joins The Hyatt Regency Vancouver and the Hilton Vancouver Metrotown in making this compassionate pledge. GuestLife Vancouver has had a history of advertising for two of Vancouver's dominant furriers, Pappas Furs and Holt Renfrew fur salon, each of which heavily relies on publications like Guestlife to access Vancouver's upscale tourist market. The cooperation of these hotels has resulted in reducing the distribution of GuestLife Vancouver by 36.5%.
We would like to thank everyone who took the time to write and phone the Pan Pacific with your concerns. It certainly made a difference. In the coming weeks, Skinned! will continue its efforts at curbing GuestLife's distribution and hope for your continued support in this regard.
Thank you and Happy New Year.

Good for them for no longer putting GuestLife Vancouver in the guests' rooms. Let's hope they stick with their compassionate committment. And I do so hope that GuestLife Vancouver stops business dealings with Pappas Furs and Holt Renfrew fur salon (booo! hiss!).
Thanks for posting the good news, Katia.
