Ant - Ants are industrious, community oriented, single minded builders. They symbolize patience, self-sacrifice, planning, trust in the future, stamina, completion, storing energy, work, thrift, forethought, virtue, and orderliness.

Badger - Courage.

Bat - symbolic of the moon and darkness. In Asia they are associated with good fortune and happiness, while in Europe they are considered evil, an assumption which comes from their association with the Goddess Hel. Also allows you to overcome blocks and brings knowledge of past lives.

Bear - Brings healing, prophetic dreams, or increased intuition. Watcher, guardian of the world, giver of great strength of body, courage and power of will.

Buffalo - Possesses great strength.

Butterfly - brings transformation, beauty and joy.

Cat - Became associated with witches in the Middle Ages when the Goddess Diana became known as Queen of Witches. Cats became known as "familiars" of Witches and at the height of Witch persecution, "cats accused of being Witches’ familiars were generally burned alive. It was thought that a Witch was only capable of shape shifting to a cat nine times because folklore says every cat has nine lives. It is a good hunter and very independent. It is also a signal that you can and will land on your feet.

Coyote - It is a crazy trickster bearing tidings of sacred mischief. They symbolize lessons about yourself, humor, whimsy, night, shape-shifting, opportunity, stealth, creativity, opportunity and experience.

Crow - Brings curiosity and playfulness into ones life. Bearer of messages from the other side, with significance to the beholder. Trickster, wise in oracles and omens, messenger and watcher for the gods. Was associated with Persephone. Also, mysterious and very clever. Justice.

Deer - Brings spiritual knowledge and graceful strength, compassion.

Dog/Hound - Is a signal of protection, homebound, and companionship. Symbol for unconditional love. Was associated with the Goddess Diana.

Dolphin - Brings deep wisdom, harmony, playfulness, and the reminder to be cognizant of breath. Wise and happy, able to explore the great depths of emotions, friend to lovers of the sea.

Donkey - While it can be stubborn, it is also friendly, loyal, and very sure-footed.

Dove - Says that purity of heart and soul is within.

Dragonfly - It can tell you how to break through illusions and how to gain power through dreams. It teaches higher aspirations. Imagination.

Dragon - It is fiery, rich and knows the answers to many riddles.

Eagle - Represents strength, freedom, and swiftness of flight. Spirituality and the wisdom of ages gone. Rising, circling the Sun, his cry thrills the brave and panic the faint-hearted.

Fish - Graceful, yet can also symbolize vulnerability.

Fox - Foxes are tricksters. They symbolize camouflage, observation, adabtability, cunning, family, travel, oneness, shape-shifting, slyness, wisdom and invisibility.

Frog/Toad - Been associated with Hecate, the Goddess who is associated with the ghost-world. Says it is okay to cry and releases you from holding on to emotions.

Goat - Associated with the Greek God, Pan who was the God of flocks and herds. In time he came to be regarded as a personification of Nature. Patient, steadfast, passionate and mystical.

Griffon/Gryphon/Griffin - Gryphons are guardians. They symbolize spiritual enlightenment, the seasons, the relationship between psychic energy aand cosmic forces.

Hawk - All-seeing, soaring on the breast of the wind. Observation.

Hen - Can teach much about nurturing, mothering and sacrifice.

Horse - Freedom, endurance, stamina.

Hound/Dog - Is a signal of protection, homebound, and companionship. Symbol for unconditional love. Was associated with the Goddess Diana.

Hummingbird - Fierce warrior, jewel of the gods, whose feathers bear love magic. Pleasure.

Lion - Emblem of royalty, symbol of the Sun. Courageous guardian protectors.

Lizard - Vision and the all knowing of all reptiles.

Lynx - Keeper of secrets. Stealth.

Monkey - Symbolizes agility, loyalty, nurturing, mothering, teaching. Advises about family and family concerns.

Mouse - It has an eye for details.

Owl - Wise watcher in the night, fate-seer, riddler, beloved by Athena. Silence.

Panther/Leopard - Panthers and Leopards symbolize the unknown, stillness, silence, stealth, night, healing, darkness, hidden truth, fearlessness, swiftness, perserverance, beauty, cunning and strength. They teach you to not fear the future.

Pegasus - Pegasi symboplize inspiration, poetry, grace, freedom from eartly cares, astral travel, transformation of evil to good, fame and eloquence.

Phoenix - The Phoenix is a symbol of resurrection, rebirth, spiritual growth, strength and energy for life trials, fire and royalty. It is a a lunar/solar symbol and is connected to Osiris, Ra and Circe.

Pig - Can be called upon to help with issues concerning fertility, personal cycles, issues concerning children, life, death and rebirth and the acceptance of the way things are.

Puma/Cougar - Shaman’s companion on journeys to the other worlds; spirit of grace and silent power.

Rabbit - Brings hidden teachings, and quickness of thought and actions, and tends to bring our worst fear to the forefront, while giving us strength to conquer this false evidence appearing real (fear). Fertility.

Raccoon - Symbolize ingenuity, adaptabilty, generosity, caring for others, benevolence, lack of greed, creativity, playfulness, curiosity, new ideas and new jobs or schooling. They are protectors of those who cannot protect themselves.

Rat- Symbolize fertility, wealth, cunning, timidity, meanness, wisdom, ingenuity, prudence and foresight.

Shark - A God of the Sea, guardian of the family, ability to move constantly, davior
protector, connection to past knowledge, shapeshifter, remorselessness, never being caught off guard, ability to defend oneself.

Snake - Brings sensuality, enables you to let go of old, no-longer-needed things to make room for the new, and represents the seven chokers within your body. Transformation. Also, the guide into Dreamtime.

Spider - Fate, and the bringer of many paths in life, as like the great web of life.

Squirrel - Says to plan ahead and balance both work and play.

Stag - Lord of the forest, masculine power of regeneration, giver of bounty, beauty and mystical signs.

Toad/Frog - Been associated with Hecate, the Goddess who is associated with the ghost-world. Says it is okay to cry and releases you from holding on to emotions.

Tiger - Tigers are quick to act, subtle and inconcspicuous. They symbolize ferocity, royalty, fearlessness, authority, the warrior aspect, a lack of procrastination and will-power.

Turtle - Shyness and also represents the womb of the Mother.

Unicorn/Ch’i-lin/Ky-lin/Ki-rin - Unicorns are symbols of innocense, good will, fame, prosperity, healing, gentleness, purity of mind, personal power, naivety, joy, life, nature and freedom.

Whale: Whales symbolize elegance, ancient teachings, history, clariaudience, telepathy, psychic abilities, sound and music healing, death and rebirth, initiation, the waters of life, regeneration, the sea, music, longevity, family and friends, learning magick, elelmental magick and trust. Whales are the record keepers.

Wolf - Brings protection, knowledge, represents the pathfinder, and reminds you to mark your territory. Pathfinder for the human spirit; heart of the wildness of the world. Knowledge.
