During the dawn of Ufology in the United States, unidentified flying objects made themselves known to the leaders of the free world in 1952, buzzing over the White House, the Capitol building, and the Pentagon. Seemingly the unknown objects were defying the very governmental agencies sworn to protect the United States from foreign powers. Washington National Airport and Andrews Air Force Base picked up a number of UFOs on their radar screens on July 19, 1952, beginning a wave of sightings still unexplained to this day. lac Chauvet, France, July 18, 1952. A collection of pictures that have been filed and studied by the French GEPAN then SEPRA state financed investigation committee, and considered genuine. The photograph was taken by André Fregnale. The image underwent an investigation by Claude Poher, director of the GEPAN, and he deemed that the photograph was not a fraud, but a genuine UFO. A very good picture. 1952-Salem, Massachusetts. July 16, 1952 During the peak of the 1952 UFO Flap, Shel Alpert, a USCG seaman on duty in the Coast Guard Weather Office at the Salem Coast Guard Station, saw four brilliant lights in the sky. He called another Guardsman to see the lights, but in those few seconds the lights had become more dim. When they brightened again, he quickly took a single photograph through the window of the office. This photo has been published in many books, newspapers and magazines. 1952-Passaic, New Jersey. George Stock was working in his yard on July 28, 1952 when this dome-shaped saucer appeared. Because it hovered over transmission lines before heading for him, he was able to get five photos. Only one is included here, but all are similar. A great early photo! 1953-Moumra, Italy. I have almost no info on this photograph. Reportedly taken in Moumra, Italy on December 1, 1953, the picture is barely usable. I enhanced it to get some of the graininess removed. A group of people seem to be fixed on the odd formation of unknown objects. See full size for greater effect. Paris, France, Eiffel Tower, 1953. Double discs are seen passing over Eiffel Tower at 3:45 a.m. in 1953 as M. Paulin took this picture. The photograph is from the Michael Mann collection and was published in TRUE Magazine at the time. A very interesting photograph, and not a bad one considering the time period, and the distance from camera to object. Look at the original image to see the two objects over the Tower. Australia, 1954. This very compelling photograph of a clearly defined round UFO with top and antenna was taken by sheep farmer W. C. Hall in 1954. If you look real closely, you might see another unknown object in the distance just above a mountain. An excellent photo, and for a newspaper clipping, it is in excellent condition. This item was the subject of bidding at Ebay in 2002, when finally the photo was purchased for $385.00 by Samuel M. Sherman, who was the president of Independent-International Pictures Corp. This was originally a "stereo" photograph. Certainly it was difficult to manipulate photos at that time, and remember, there were no flying objects then; at least, not from this world. 1927-Oregon. Taken in Cave Junction, Oregon. There is some question as to whether the photo was taken in '26 or '27, but nonetheless, if this is an authentic photograph it is incredible. Reportedly snapped by a volunteer fireman. Be sure to click to see full size image to really appreciate the picture. 1929-SlideWard-Colorado Ward Sawmill, April-This incident is retold by the photographers daughter: "This photo was taken by my father Edward Pline at the sawmill in Ward where we lived at the time. I think it was 1929. I was about six years old then. My father was there to photograph the sawmill for some reason or another, and as he was taking the photo, he described a 'terrible thunderous bellow,' and a large round thing as big as a very large boulder that moved through the air above them. You can see it in the picture. None of the sawmill workers saw the thing in the photo, but they all heard the sound and felt the ground shudder. Later in my life I tried researching the incident at the County Historical Society, but I did not find any references to it. My father passed on a few years after the incident, and I have not found any surviving sawmill workers from that time." Hetty Pline 1932-St. Paris, Ohio. This picture was taken of a man named George Sutton near midday May 1932. We can see that it was in 1932 from the license plate on the automobile in the photo that accompanied this shot. The unidentified flying object in the picture could not have been a street lamp, simply because there were no street lamps at the time. There are no power poles or power lines visible anywhere in this picture. This picture shows a vintage automobile. The owner of the photo album says there were no electric street lights along this road in those days. Nobody has been able to account for the dark object seen over Sutton's left shoulder in this photograph. Los Angeles, February 25, 1942: 02:25 AM: Alarm sirens installed in the event of a Japanese air raid are started, as flying objects are seen and announced in the sky off the city. A blackout is declared and the anxious and even terrified inhabitants follow the instructions by turning all the lights off. 03:16 AM: Anti-aircraft guns open fire on the unidentified flying objects coming from the ocean, and projector beams are searching the sky. Witnesses observe small objects flying at high altitude, of red or silver-plated color, moving in formation at high speed, and untouched by the AAA salvos. This large object had been hitby many AAA projectiles, according to the reports. The anti-aircraft defence continued to shoot at UFOs without results. Washington D. C. October 29, 1942. This was taken above Washington, D.C. on October 29 1942. An object at the very right of the frame was initially thought to represent a high-wing monoplane flying down and right from the upper left-hand corner. Unusually it appears too fast for the shutter, its configuration is more disk-like and it is followed by an exceptionally long dark streak (this extends back and upwards to the top of the frame) that is normally associated with jet aircraft. 1944-England-This UFO was photographed over England in 1944. Janssen, editor of the Daily Record (an American aviation journal) was flying his own plane from Morristown Airport in New Jersey. Hazel M.	March 14, 2009 1:41 PM New Released Photos By Nasa Shows A Pair of UFOs flying over the surface of Mars. True as Day in my opinion. NASA just posted pictured with UFOs in them today, Thursday February 12th. Upon close evaluation of these pictures, you can see 2 solid objects hovering/flying above Mar's surface. NASA takes 2 snap-shots at a time to compare them for movement. Out of the 2 identical shots, the UFO's only appear in one of them. It is obvious from the shape, form, position, height, and dimension that these objects are most certainly there. These objects appear way to high in the atmosphere to be wind debris, and they have been proved to not be moons or planets. 2 identical shots, and the objects only appeared in 1 of them. Planets don't move that fast. The pictures show no sign of wind activity but yet there are still 2 objects in the sky. Nothing is supposed to fly on MARS.. Picture 1 shows the objects centered in the horizon in this picture Picture 2 shows the exact place, almost instantly after. March 06, 2009 3:03 PM reported by Witness Jody Alleged UFO Sighted Over L.A. 2nd witness reported but i saw it 2/25/09 i watched it change vibrancy color direction and speed for about 5 minutes.... it seemed to hover over the hollywood hills then dart in n out of the atmosphere .... glowing w a great intencity of white light to red then about 4 or 5 times a ring of blue lights would apear around it... it was truely incredible... no joke i was mesmorized knowing that what i was seeing was truely not of this earth the shear speed to stop on a dime hover then dart in n out of sight as if it were taunting and saying now you see me know you dont... but the whole time dancing around as if to say yes we are here and we do exist.... i think after that display its not going to be long before the whole world knows that this is for real..... 3rd Witness I saw it too I was driving south on the 101 around 7pm, just north of Vine, it was directly over Hollywood. I did have a camera phone, but was unable to capture it. The person I was with (who was driving) refused to admit I saw it clearly enough to claim it was out of the ordinary, but it was like nothing I've ever seen so it was certainly out of the ordinary for me. From my angle, it looks like a rectangular craft with consecutive flashing lights in a wide, long strip underneath. I have no clue what it was but was unable to follow it. New UFO Sightings in Stephenville, TX November 10, 2008 5:24 PM New UFO Sightings in Stephenville, TX Wednesday October 29, 2008 We are all aware of the high profile UFO sightings over Stephenville, TX, and the surrounding Erath county in January of this year. Now, Television station WFAA Channel 8 in Dallas is releasing information that Stephenville is again receiving sightings of unknown objects in its skies. Not only are the UFOs back, so are the military jets, according to eyewitness reports. This latest spate of reports began on October 21. For two straight nights, numerous UFOs of varying color, and rapid movement were reported. Then, on October 23, a dramatic sighting took place in nearby Dublin. A number of teenagers, along with some of their parents, saw an oval-shaped UFO with lights of many colors. This sighting was videotaped, and is included in the WFAA report. Eleven different witnesses claimed to see the objects, with some of them confirming the presence of military jets. See the complete report with video at UFOs are Back in Stephenville. The disc was centered in a dark cloud. Some people said they saw red lights. It sat there for about 10 minutes and appeared to move East and then North over the Hudson River (see video part 2). My camera could only zoom in so much. We weren't sure what it was but it was quite strange. Before anyone says a thing, let me fill you in on this area. Newark airport is right around the corner. These are people who are used to seeing airplanes in excess of fifty times a day/night. This may look like a plane to you, but please realize that planes in this area of the state are almost always HUGE in the sky because they are either coming in for a landing or just taking off. October 08, 2008 12:15 PM UFOs invade skies of Mexico More fleets of UFOs are identified over Mexico by Santiago Yturria Garza and translated by Dirk Vander Ploeg Two new fleets of UFOs have been filmed in the skies of Mexico City on April 11, 2005, by photogrpaher Arturo Robles Gil, increasing the expectations that the uncommon wave of UFOs is the largest sighting in the world. This is a mystery that keeps the Mexican people in a state of excitement and uncertainty. The sightings had happened in full day-light and had started with a formation of seven objects. They all emitted a white luminosity and had a spherical form. Gil made one zoom of one of objects and described it as having an intense luminous source, similar to a plasma ball. At that moment, one of objects left the formation and started to execute independent maneuvers. It appeared to be controlled by an intelligent force. Gil focused on the object and it was obvious that it was performing aerobatics by flying in and out of the main body of UFOs. After filming the seven UFOs for approximately 15 minutes, Gil was surprised by the approaching sight of an enormous fleet of UFOs. He refocused on the fleet. "They were more than 100 luminous objects in the sky, perhaps two hundred. It was simply spectacular ", he said. His videos show a fleet of luminous objects flying in perfect formation that contrasted with the blue sky and white clouds.. This video is considered one of most important pieces of UFO evidence, as is the images taken on July 10, 2004, in Guadalajara, filmed by Miguel Avila and Miguel Dominguez. This new video from Gil, was broadcast by the national television last sunday, April 24, 2005. The film was shown on the program Los Misterios [ the great mysteries ] and presented by Jaime Maussán. Mr. Maussán also showed another video, shot in Torreon, Coahuila. This video showed another fleet of UFOs, consisting of at least 50 objects, flying in a formation similar to that of the one witnessed and photographed by Gil. October 06, 2008 2:35 PM On or around 11/26/1985 this was what my daughter and I saw: One winter night on or about Nov, 26, 1986,as me and my daugher were outside the laundrymat in San Ysidro Ca and trying like silly to count some of the stars when we noticed five colorful lights glowing in the night sky, they also had this sound that I can not describe soon after we realized that we were looking at five ufo s. The ships were traingle five glowing colorfuls lights on each ship. Sorry if I don t remember much but this was several years ago. Not for one second did I feel threatend or scared, niether did my daughter, but it felt really excited I called out to my friend who was inside the laundromat, he came running out fearing somethng was wrong with me, then immediately asked him to look up in the sky and sure enough he too witnessed what we saw. Published Date: 15 September 2008 By Gemma Gadd Monday 2.50pm - MORE responses to sightings of 'orange lights' UFOs near Louth have been pouring into the Leader – with some wondering if recent UFO activity is connected to the Large Hadron Collider experiment in Geneva. A man called Anthony from Wales emailed a similar account of what he saw: "I was having a cigarette outside my front door on Saturday at around 9pm and I looked over the roof tops and saw two orange-red glowing lights coming from over the hill where I live. "I called my wife and daughter to come and have a look, then a third light followed the other two. My wife phoned her father who lives not far away and he saw them too. I then went to get my camera but by the time I got it out the lights just vanished. Not knowing what they were I decided to search the net to see if any one has seen the same as us and I came across your picture which is exactly what we saw. "We live in a little village in Swansea and after 47 years of looking up at night this is the first UFO I have ever seen." He added: "Could it be something to do with that experiment they are doing under ground in Geneva letting out pockets of energy or something?" The Large Hadron Collider (LHC) is the world's largest and most powerful particle accelerator, intended to smash protons together in the hope of learning more about the Big Bang theory. It was turned on to much international press interest last week despite some scientists calling for the experiment to be stopped, in fear it could lead to the formation of mini black holes, which could expand and swallow the Earth. Rachel Rijsdijk emailing from The Netherlands said she also saw similar orange lights last Saturday: "On Saturday night a week ago I was driving on the highway, past a city called Eindhoven, and I saw three orange round lights high in the sky. They were not moving, but hanging in a triangle form." Reg Lambert from Rugby emailed to tell us about his own recent experience: "I and three others saw an orange light travelling south-west to north-east over Rugby at about 8pm. "It was travelling quite fast and was above the height of a few clouds around at an estimated height of 5000ft. A few minutes after disappearing from view it reappeared travelling in the opposite direction." He added: "There was no flicker or variation, or colour change, and it was in a straight line." David Hinde from North Yorkshire is adament such sightings are not sky lanterns after witnessing some strange lights in the sky near his home: "I have seen the orange/red spheres in the skies above Speeton, moving in ways no conventional aircraft move - diagonal, vertical and horizontal movements, with no sound and no vapour trails - definitely not sky lanterns." Hazel M.	September 28, 2008 8:04 AM Moon Photograph Shows Unknown Object Wednesday September 17, 2008 Here is a photograph that I found very interesting. It was sent through the MUFON open submission files. On December 22, 2007, a man and his family were having a Christmas party in California, and were outside of their house at a fire pit. The photographer was taking some family pictures of those at the party, and he also turned around to take a photo of the full moon, which was in the eastern sky. The moon was clearly visible through some trees in the backyard, and he thought it would make a nice photograph for the family album. He saw nothing unusual at the time, but later, when looking back over all of the photos of the party, he was struck by something he could not identify in his photograph of the moon. The object is hard to describe, but clearly is there. It was taken with an Olympus D-560 with a 10x optical zoom, set at maximum. Photographs like these are very difficult to determine the distance of the unknown object from the photographer, but still his photo is compelling. Strange, huh? What could it be? Check them out, and comment if you wish. California-08-30-08-Fresno-On Saturday, August 30, 2008, at 11:00 PM, my husband and I were sitting outside in our back yard looking up. Since we had seen a UFO previously, we go out now every night. Up in the west we saw a star, we think it was a UFO, because it went between two stars and then headed towards the south near a bright star, it was still moving, and looked the same size as the stars that are farther away, then the clouds came and when they cleared it was gone. We were really surprised. It was up with the stars, way up, and the same size as the little stars, so I would say it had to be big. Then we saw toward the northwest, the same thing. It went between two more stars, the same size as the other one, but going north. It finally faded out. Now, we have seen the space station and other man-made objects, but these were different. Then on August 30, we saw a green and red object not blinking, kind of rounded, yet straight, it was difficult to explain. We watched it from the north in our back yard until it went out of sight, so we ran to the front and it headed south. It was lower than a plane would be, and the light changed to solid red as it went by the airport. It was higher than a helicopter, and made no sound. As we were following it, a plane went over, but was higher than the object, and then a police helicopter went by, heading to the west. The plane headed south, but the red object appeared to be going to Kings Canyon Mountain. We could hear the plane and helicopter, but not the red object. I can't say for certain, but I really believe it was a UFO. We have jets here also, but this was different. I wonder why there are so many sightings, could they be getting ready to reveal themselves to us? My husband feels that it probably came from the airport, but I have lived in my home for 40 years, and have never seen this before. Neither of us drink or do drugs, and this was not our imagination. source: http://ufos.about.com reader Linda California-August/September, 2008-Sacramento-During the last three weeks of August, 2008, I have seen as many as seven UFOs in the skies above Excelsior Road in south Sacramento, California. They stay as long as three hours in the sky, shifting up, down, and side to side. They are of different colors-red, blue, white, amber, and green, as they spin around. On September 3, off Fulton, there were four that appeared at about 10:30 PM, and by 1:19 AM, there was just one. I did not believe it until I saw it myself. This morning, three coworkers and I observed a triangular pattern of 7 red lights moving west to east over the St. Louis River in Cloquet, Minnesota. These lights were moving slowly toward Duluth, about 15 miles away. The formation consisted of two groups of three lights in the back, and a lead light in the front. I could not tell if the lights were connected, but they all moved in unison. When connected, the lights formed a perfect triangle, although the rear string of lights was not a straight line. We did hear a noise, but nothing like an airplane. I am sure this was not a plane or group of helicopters, or anything from the nearby airport. I believe it was a large ship of some sort. The lights were bright red, and the skies were clear. I would like to talk to anyone who may have seen these. I have checked the Internet, and there are several sightings similar to mine. source: http://ufos.about.com reader Deb Location Unknown-08-31-08-Saturday night at 9:48 PM, I saw 6 UFOs cruising the night sky from my backyard. They looked like they were flying in a formation, spaced apart at the same distance. When I took the pictures, I saw solid masses of an orange light, but in the pictures they look like streaks of lights. The sighting lasted until 10:15 PM. These lights were heading west. This is not the first time I have seen these lights, and what surprises me the most is how frequent they are becoming in the cities and the little attention they get as if they do not exist. I was not the only one to see these lights in the sky, and can I say I was a bit shaken by the whole experience, not because I am afraid of what is flying the craft, but because I have seen UFOs before, but never in formation and wonder what this is about and why does the government like to pretend they do not exist. I would also like to add that I do live near a major airport, and can't believe that they are flying directly in the flight paths of incoming or outgoing planes.
