A PRAYER REQUEST from Stuwart! April 10, 2008 4:03 AM
His request: Please pray for me to get school fees for my self and for
my sister. Iam not working yet. Also;I was staying
with some young men and women (because they had no where to stay) and
the owner of the room changed his mind and chased all of us (me
inclusive) now My friends are homeless; at least me I have someone else
to stay with now. Pray also for my ministry; It is growing and is now
needing finances. God bless you all.

As Charlotte-Mecklenburg's population grows each year and our relative
supply of affordable housing decreases, we continue to see the numbers
of homeless families and individuals swell in our community. Over 5,000
people are homeless in Mecklenburg County on any given night and tens
of thousands annually That total includes people who are living on the
streets, staying in shelters and with friends and family, or living in
transitional or permanent supportive housing. Nearly half are families;
more than a third are children. "Street homelessness" is the image
commonly presented to portray homelessness, yet less than 10 percent of
the 5,000 homeless people in our region regularly live on the streets.
Almost half of all homeless adults are employed. Why not invest this
kind of money into day shelters for the homeless. You could provide
lifeskills classes to these people. You could provide GED classes, and
work training. this would help them transition from a life of nothing
into a life of something more. Finally people would be able to get back
on their feet and contribute back to society. Do you really believe
that people who are homeless chose to be this way? It happens because
life happens, not because this is the way they choose to live. Please
think about the future of Charlotte and the surrounding areas. Think
about the future of our youth. Over 2,000 children in our area are
homeless. A primary cause of homelessness in the Charlotte -
Mecklenburg area is the shortage in the supply of affordable homes. A
worker earning minimum wage no longer has sufficient income to afford a
safe and decent apartment. And with regional fair market rents
averaging more than $650 a month for a two-bedroom apartment, many
working families are struggling to find homes within financial reach.
With your help, we can ask the Mayor to help.

Please say a prayer tonight for my best friend Tina Fannin. She made
calls to her son and husband this afternoon saying she was leaving her
truck at a Holiday Inn in Knoxville,Tn. and taking a bus but she didnt
say where she was going.Something is very wrong with this picture and
no one has heard from her since and this is totally unlike her to do
these things. Her husband and son are both frantic with worry and
concern she took no money from the bank account or clothes with her
from the home.I pray tonight God will send a protective angel to watch
over her and protect her.I pray people will be sent to her to help her
find her way home.Gby Mitzi
I don't even
know where to begin! You know we are behind on our house payment, now
the IRS is takeing almost all of Dave's check and leaving a family of 5
kid's and 2 adult's to live on $120.00 a week, so now we are behinde on
all bill's. Then on my way home from my stay at St.James Mercy my van
started blowing oil and we don't know what it is and can't afford to
have it looked at. I just know it is all Satan's work and I pray for
the strenght and peace of mind from our lord and Father to hold on
tight and to Lead me in the Right direction to help solve our
problem's. I am praying for all of it to work out with out Dave and I
looseing our marble's and fighting. Have called some of the churches @
here but there pretty strapped. We live in a poor community. Food
pantry has been a huge help and we are just getting vegtables out of
our garden. Amen. The Lord made the impossible possible. He is
glorious.
Well please Pray for us and thank you for all of your encouregment
and love when I have needed it most. Love,Jennifer and Family
Ramadan
is the time of year that Muslims from around the world will fast from
sunrise to sunset. They believe that this will earn them merit and
bring them closer to Allah (God). There are many testimonies of Muslims
experiencing Jesus through a dream or a vision during Ramadan. You will
receive an email later this week inviting you to pray, learn and
discuss with believers from around the world during Ramadan about how
we might effectively minister to Muslims.
Muslims around the world will soon be celebrating Ramadan. We
invite you to join us in a special prayer campaign for the truth to be
revealed in a powerful way over this next month. Please visit our Ramdan prayer resource page
for information on how you can pray specifically during this time. Let
us pray that the hearts and eyes of Muslims everywhere will be open to
God's truth and love through Jesus Christ.
My friend paulette sweetpea777t@sbcglobal.net
is going to homeless on the 29 of this month..we really need to lift
her up to the Lord, He has a plan for this..we have ten days to get
others to pray and for God to bless her in away we all never
expected...please please pray so hard the clouds open up and miracles
come down...Love BettyB.
1)
the Lawyer called me back to tell me first of all they can not lock us
out on the 29th. First it has to go back to the bank then the mortgage
company has to file an eviction notice. And that would take another 30 to 60 days.
2)
my Realtor sent me an email with a place for rent out here that is
1550.00 and yes a little steep but I'll take it rather then be out on
the street. So waiting to see if that goes through if they will let me
rent it being disabled. As all the other's said the owner will not
allow any disabled people rent that place so I am praying if we are to
have this one this one wont say that.
and 3) Many Mansions
called me tonight to ask if we were still needing an apartment and I
said yes. Oh yes and she said lilia I don't know how to spell the
lady's name but she will be sending me a letter on the place and what
to do if we want it.
Oh God is so good. God really answers prayers. I thank you so much for being my friend in the Lord and for praying for us.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. More than a million homes and businesses were left in the cold without power Thursday in the wake of an icy winter storm
could face a lengthy wait for electricity to come back, even as federal
help was promised to two states hit hardest by the blast.
President Barack Obama signed requests late Wednesday from Kentucky Gov. Steve Beshear and Arkansas Gov. Mike Beebe for federal emergency declarations. Crews even the National Guard in Kentucky worked around the clock to resurrect power lines downed by thick ice.
At
a mall turned into a staging area in Barboursville, W.Va., crews in
hard hats met alongside piles of poles, generators, wire and other
supplies to find out where to go first. A convoy with crews from as far
away as North Carolina was there to help.
"We're attacking it head on," said Appalachian Power spokesman Phil Moye. "As long as the ice is still on the trees, the storm is still here."
Utility officials estimated more than 1.3 million homes and businesses from Arkansas to Ohio were powerless, and warned it could be mid-February before some customers had power.
WELCOME DAVID! WE ARE GLAD TO HAVE YOU HERE AS A MEMBER AND AS A HOST! Dear Lord Jesus, Thank you for sending us David to co host for us! Please lead us to do our very best with the guidance of the Holy Spirit!
Peace, Grace and Blessings! Your sister in Christ, Donna
AP - A pastor shot and killed during his Sunday sermon deflected the
first of the gunman's four rounds with a Bible, sending a confetti-like
spray of paper into the air in a horrifying scene that congregants
initially thought was a skit, police said.
The Rev. Mark Jones, another First Baptist pastor, later urged a Sunday
evening prayer service attended by hundreds at nearby Metro Community
Church in Edwardsville to be resilient after "this attack from the
forces of hell."
The standing-room-only crowd cried, cradled Bibles and
stretched their hands skyward as they packed into the church, many
watching the service on large television monitors in overflow areas.
"We need to reassure our hearts and reinforce our minds that
Pastor Fred is in that place that we call heaven," Jones said. "Church,
evil does exist. Today, we saw the visible results of evil and its
influence."
First Baptist had an average attendance of 32 people when
Winters became senior pastor in 1987; it now has about 1,200 members
and three Sunday services, according to the church's Web site.
Winters was former president of the Illinois Baptist State Association and an adjunct professor for Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, according to the site.
He hosted Pizza with the Pastor dinners in his home, and the
church organized bowling parties for fathers and daughters, karate
classes and a golf league.
The church sits along a busy two-lane highway on the east side of Maryville, a fast-growing village of more than 7,000 about 20 miles northeast of St. Louis. A farm sits directly across from the church, but subdivisions of newer homes can been easily seen from every side.
"Things like this just don't happen in Maryville," Mayor Larry
Gulledge said. "We've lost one the pillars of our community, one of our
leaders."
At wit's end, no money for food and was laid off from contract labor job
so cannot get unemployment - feel scared and lost. Broke my glasses and
have none now - I need them 100% to see. PLEASE PRAY I NEED A MIRACLE -
am old bat of 53 and my job skills are excellent but am too old for
this market.
I am overwhelmed.
Things have been so bad for us financially. We may loose our home. We
have 6 children. I am tired of crying. Please please pray that God will
turn our finaces around,I feel so beat down. Blessings,
Sheila

There's something I'm thrilled to tell you! In the two states in South India
that were recently hit with some of the worst floods in memory, our
missionaries and believers have already been able to reach 10,000
families with relief supplies.
If
each of those 10,000 families could personally thank you for your
prayers, I know they would! The need is still great. The death toll has
already surpassed 300, and millions have been displaced from their
homes. Please keep our missionaries and believers in prayer as they
continue to minister in Jesus' name among these men, women and precious
children who have suffered so much.
