This disscussion has a lot of very nice graphics that are very nice to read. It is good to hear from others and know that IYN is a live and doing well. I am not feeling well today but needed to get on here because I'm getting behind again. But I am getting an aweful migraine now and my back is hurting. I'm not able to do as much on the computer as I used to. I'd spend 10 to 12 hours on the computer daily. Not any more it is to hard on my body. Unfortunately my health isn't real good either right now.
However I appreciate and love all the greetings and graphics. I would like to say I'm sorry if I don't know you yet but I am just getting back on the computer. I do think of all of you that I know and have you on my prayer list which is well over a hundred people.
You all have a wonderful Friday and God Bless you all!! Amen! Yvonne
What Tj's referring to is an e-mail I sent out to several of my e-pals a few hours ago which, basically, said that it's good to let people know what you want when you're about to cross over as well as when you've crossed over. It also speaks of life in the here-and-now re: how we need to take care of ourselves as well as letting others know we care while we can...

While writing in a comment section a little bit ago, it got me to thinking about what happens after I'm gone (as well as what might happen sometime in the future while I'm still here but not getting along that great). I've thought about this before at different times, of course, but I'm finally taking the time to gather my thoughts about it and share them. Please go here to find out my thoughts on disposal of my remains/cremains (I'm a donor, for starters...).
Finally, please read below to see what I'd like to have in the way of a celebration of life service--which I hope will include a reception afterwards with lots of good things to eat and where everybody feels at home. All of this will, likely, take place at Colonial United Methodist Church.
This last spring--something I realize now upon looking back at everything--I came pretty close to having needed to provide this information, but I had only shared it in bits and pieces here and there.
Having said this, I want you to keep something very important in mind: Had I put off getting help not very much longer, I, likely, would have been gone before May turned into June.
One lesson to learn from this is to pay attention to signs that your health might be deteriorating. It has a way of sneaking up on you, but I think that you can make yourself aware of things and don't just shrug them off.
Another lesson to learn is what comes to mind whenever we lose a loved one, some celebrity (e.g. Michael Jackson) dies unexpectedly, or some giant and fatal event takes place (e.g. 9-11), and that is how we need to remember to appreciate the people in our lives more while we still have them on this side.
Now, here's what I want for my Celebration Of Life service in the way of readings and music. You can add more, if you wish...
23rd Psalm
Because the Lord is my Shepherd, I have everything I need!
He lets me rest in the meadow grass and leads me beside the quiet streams. He gives me new strength. He helps me do what honors him the most.
Even when walking through the dark valley of death I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me, guarding, guiding all the way.
You provide delicious food for me in the presence of my enemies. You have welcomed me as your guest; blessings overflow!
Your goodness and unfailing kindness shall be with me all of my life, and afterwards I will live with you forever in your home.

And one clear call for me!
And may there be no moaning of the bar,
When I put out to sea.
But such a tide as moving seems asleep,
Too full for sound and foam,
When that which drew from out the boundless deep
Turns again home!
Twilight and evening bell,
And after that the dark!
And may there be no sadness of farewell,
When I embark;
For though from out our bourn of Time and Place
The flood may bear me far,
I hope to see my Pilot face to face
When I have crost the bar.

Hamburger & Can Of Pop For Just $1.50 where store furnishes grill and food while only asking 1/2 of money made in return. Other 1/2 goes to the cause of those doing the cooking! Should do that with IYN. I'd thought of doing it this year, but was glad that I didn't reserve a space, as I'm out-of-commission now. Oh well! Maybe, next year! This year, our "job" is to EAT the stuff! WooHoo!!!
im exhausted & have been deprived of my caffeine, so ive come here 2 say.....

It's going on nine-thirty here in my neck of the woods, so I'm finally going to get some shut-eye. I've been saying this for hours, but I had a lot of things I needed to stay up for. Now, the only thing keeping me from going to bed is that I'm too tired to even prepare for bed--but I'm going to have to get over that!
Anyway, I was awake for the big celebration of EJ's homecoming, so that will be something nice to think about when I'm drifting off to sleep. Isn't it wonderful to have him around again!?! You take care of yourself, EJ because we all like to think of you as being well!!! ![]()

There's no doubt at all that I'll be enjoying this weekend, as I'm about to engage in some serious and long-overdue pampering!
Welcome Nancy glad to have you aboard and what perfect timing. We have been debating how to do fun things with our members while keeping the thread open for important discussion on homeless youths and child abuse. So Russell has set up a new group exclusively for IYN members to post graphics, chat, play games, what ever fun thing you want to do I invite you and everyone to go to http://www.care2.com/c2c/group/iynmembersclub
We have just opened it up so there is tons of room to do whatever you want.
