I just wanted to suggest to everyone, as the school year starts up again, to try out substitute teaching for a little extra income. In some areas, it pays $50-100 a day (it pays $85 where I am), and you only have to have a high school degree in most counties. It's very easy to get involved, and it really helps out the schools. You can specify when you want to work, and for which schools (probably the ones you live closest to) you will work for, and which age group you'd prefer.
It's wonderful for stay-at-home spouses who want to get out of the house for a day or two a week, and it's PERFECT for retired folks. It's also a good way to build up some experience for someone who is between jobs or has never had a job.
To get involved, just go online to your county or city's public school website. Good luck!
